First, they arrived wearing our wedding colors, which speaks to their attention to detail! Immediately I was at ease with them, and by the end of the evening it felt more like they were friends than hired photographers. I was sad to see them leave! We did many of the wedding party and family photos before the ceremony, which I highly recommend if you intend to enjoy your reception. As we were planning the pre-ceremony photo session my husband was concerned that the 'first look' photos would feel hooky - as it was Tim and Sandy put him at ease and it was a very special experience for him. Throughout the evening, Sandy was like a bridesmaid, best friend and outside observer rolled into one - she helped me with wardrobe tape when I was dressing, chased me around with bobby pins toward the end of the evening when my hair started to fall, and with Tim's help kept order in the sweetest way as we attempted to get through our shot list. By the end of the night we had photos will all our guests without feeling as if even a fraction of the night was spent posing for the camera. He delivered pleasant images that captured our happy family in a great springtime setting. The photo shoot was fun and we all felt good throughout the shoot. My 6-year-old granddaughter even asked him to take a special picture of her holding a flower she picked and he was great with her. The picture is so cute! Coordinating with hiim was fairly easy since I don't live in the state so we had to work through email. We are enjoying the pictures from this special occasion. Michael was good to work with after the shoot to edit some pictures to focus on certain people. The only drawback, and maybe this is a lesson learned for me, was to check out his pricing before agreeing to the shoot. In my past experience with other photographers at other places in the country, the prints and digital copies were much less expensive. I didn't check this out before hand - oops. He also inadvertently didn't provide his price sheet before the shoot, which he should have. That limited what the family could afford. From what I have been told, he is about mid-range for the area. Michael worked with me to make sure our family was satisfied. Overall, he was great to work with, organized, pleasant, and conscientious in working with us to our satisfaction.

I swear could be found in a magazine. Let me back up and give specifics.. I met Kateri after finding her on YELP when another studio decided to close before my "bump popped".. trusting the other two reviews I reached out and left a message on Yelp and she answered within an hour. We met for coffee and talked over the logistics of the shoot and we scheduled for the first week of January. From September to shoot time we emailed and texted different lightening and pose ideas. When the day finally came I was ecstatic! Originally I wanted "snow shots" where fresh snow was falling but without the cooperation of weather we made the theme black and white and super sexy--- I do mean SEXY! I absolutely adore how she was super open to my vision; one that I did not see in her portfolio and would be considered risqué but heck.. I'm carrying life! I've never felt more liberated. This was about two hours with six outfit changes and a dozen or so snaps; some even included the hubs!!! About two weeks later hubs and I piled into Kateri's studio again and has the photo shoot reveal! I couldn't believe the outcome.. I looked like a confident, glowing, happy, SEXY first time mom! She kept him comfortable and quiet for several hours and was able to capture beautiful pictures with his older sisters, mom and dad, and him alone. I was very impressed by her level of professionalism and by how comfortable she made me feel, both before the photo shoot and on the actual day.
