It's…read morevery conveniently located- from the hotel, it's a short walk (5 min) to most of the sights in "Modern" Granada and a ~20 min (uphill) walk to the Alhambra. The lobby, hallway, and rooms all retain the architecture of the house from which the hotel was converted. The service (both by the maid staff and the front desk staff) is excellent, and they speak English. Unfortunately, a couple issues prevent me from giving the hotel a higher review. First, a faint smell of sewage greeted me each time I opened the room door. Sure, it was faint, and sure, it seemed to go away after a few minutes (i.e. I got used to it), but a sewage smell is a sewage smell. Less importantly, the wifi didn't work well in the room (and was weak even in the lobby). This is an issue in many hotels we visited in Andalusia though, so I'd recommend purchasing a local 3G/4G sim card from Vodafone.

As we came to the bus station, we saw an information booth that sold Segway tours and my wife was sold! We were not disappointed. The tour was about 1.5 hours long, with about 30 minutes for setup, etc. Our guide Loretta was wonderful. She was fun and cheerful as she showed us around, stopping occasionally to help us or explain certain things. The tour was wonderful and I would love to give them 5 stars, however, they sent us to a flamenco show which was extremely poor. In Granada, many companies that work in the tourism industry sell vouchers to their attractions at a steep discount to other attractions for resale. Here, Play Segway sold us a deal to the flamenco show which I highly recommend you avoid. Since the Play Segway does make a cut, I did e-mail them to let them know of my issues, but didn't hear back. Unfortunately, the weather decided to turn on us the day we were scheduled to cycle Granada. This is where Granada Electric Bike's exceptional service outshines others. (1) Javier (funny and friendly assistant) guy at the counter was willing to help us check the weather......then offered for us to change dates for a sunnier day.....at no additional cost. (2) the training of how to use the bikes and segway (which is bookable via tour) was both fun and informative. (3) Javier gave us some terrific recommendations on tapas places and where to cycle for sight-seeing. All around a very pleasant experience!

Everything in the room was clean and modern. The location is great since it's within walking distance to many of the important sites to see in the city (or close to the bus/buses that would take you there). The staff was helpful with providing ideas/suggestions/directions for most things. The breakfast service is interesting since you confirm the meal the day before and they actually deliver it to your room. Rather than eating in a "breakfast room", one enjoys their meal in the comfort of their own room. While it may not seem like a lot, the meal is actually substantial - a basket of fresh breads/rolls, selection of jams, selection of pâté, hard boiled eggs, butter, yogurt juice and coffee or hot chocolate. Considering the location, this is a great spot to be in. All my interactions with staff were friendly and attentive.
