My appointment for a Jeep JK elvauation for sale to Car Spot. Time schedule 10 am to meet with Cody. Young woman at the office informed me Cody is NEVER on time. She would conduct a brief questionnaire and visually inspect my Jeep. She informed that KBB price offers via email would be the sale price but it could be a high amount. I informed that KBB price would need to be negotiated to a higher amount (private sale range proposed by KBB). If no room for negotiation, I would not waste my/their time. The young woman visually inspected the JK while a drizzle (rain) was occurring. She called Cody who by the way hasn't arrived for work @ 10:20 . I was informed they don't do vehicle inspections in the rain and told to bring the JK back later in the day! So you guessed correctly; I left. Nick, How do you expect to "regain" someone's trust when you KNOW that you have an employee that flat out lies. Josh told me that the Navigator was on the F250 chassis. It is not. In fact it is on the F150 chassis, the same as the Expedition. He lied because he has no respect for female clients and that is reflected in his attitude. He then told me he was the service manager at Kelly Ford. Unless that dude is a white woman, THAT was a lie. I have taken my Lincoln to Kelly and was treated respectfully by their actual service manager, a woman. He also told me he was "the hammer" clearly he is not, you are. Lies, lies, lies. He got seriously aggressive with me with him telling me he was in charge. The dude was a tattoo artist up until a couple of months ago. I appreciate you want to turn a profit, but when you have a liars like Josh that are rude condescending and outright aggressive with female customers, you aren't taking anything seriously. You should have called me and had a frank and honest discussion. You choose to sweep it under the carpet. I'm happy. Like any other dealership, they will stress the urgency to buy that car you want. But they didn't pressure me. I had three cars in mind to buy. First one, wife didn't like. Next one was at the Toyota dealership. Their pushy behavior was a true turn off, but I decide that as a mature adult, I'll take my time to make the best decision for me and my family. The Toyota we were looking at was actually the first choice. But, unfortunately, it was gone when I went to close. So I went to my 2nd choice at Car Spot. The guys there were initially not very welcoming. I almost had to do cartwheels in their lobby to get their attention and let them know I was actually in their presence. But when we got moving, they were very genuine, answering all the questions I asked. I knew the vehicle had sat on their lot for 6 months and it wasn't the cheapest price that they've had it listed for. They explained the apparent discrepancies to me. Their response was quick and sounded honest enough to my satisfaction. They worked with me on my trade in, extended warranty, and every detail of the transaction. Even when after I realized I paid for the car with a check from the wrong account, they were professional and polite. They didn't even ask me to pay the NSF fee they were charged. I was so embarrassed that I offered up front and wired them the money from the right account immediately. The cleanliness of the car when I picked it up was probably a 9/10, but to be fair, I didn't give them time. I gave them like 15 minutes notice that I was on my way to pick it up. Window film was persistent and there was no rain repellant on the windshield which would have been nice for the immediate 5 hour trip I took in it - in the rain. Over all, I was very happy. The thing I think I loved the most about dealing with the folks here was that, other than the obligatory "It may not be here tomorrow", they let me walk away without feeling like I just cost someone their job (which is more than I can say for Toyota).
