If I could give zero stars I would. I booked an appointment through ClassPass and then called to confirm because I always call when scheduling special services. I receive no call back. I call again day of, again no answer. I show up, wait for 10 minutes and then I'm told I was supposed to call and book with them directly after booking on ClassPass. Not only that, but I'm told those directions are on ClassPass. I pull up ClassPass. It's not there and then her story changes to well we asked ClassPass to update it. I had to ask her to cancel my appointment so I can't get my money back. Which, surprise! All of a sudden she has no issues with ClassPass working. Get off ClassPass if you can't follow the guidelines. What a waste of my gas to get here and the time I spent waiting to be told she was already busy. Terrible service. The front entrance is a nail salon, so if you can't handle that smell, this is definitely not a place to relax. read more

DO NOT USE THIS 'Boutique'. Back in 2019, I bought a set of 5 peels for $500.00. It has been a nightmare with Luciana (the owner). She cancels on you last minute or she schedules and then changes it. With this package, I was assured I would get an add-on each time. She uses excuses like she doesn't have the correct peel solution, or that with Covid, she can only do the facials, etc. Please look at other reviews before you use her. I found her on a groupon coupon, and I see why she has to use Groupon to get customers. I scheduled weeks ago an appointment with her for tomorrow after work for my last facial. Today, I get a text message (after she told me I had 1 remaining facial), today saying that I did a last minute cancellation so I've used all of my facials. I cancelled the morning I woke up and was sick with covid like symptoms, so I was being responsible. I was sick! She has cancelled so many times, (last minute, within 24 hours of my appointment). If you use her, you will regret it, if you buy a package! Again, read the reviews - she has only 2.5 stars out of 5 - that should tell you something. On one of my peels, my face was burned and I had to miss work (this was supposed to be a light peel - look at the picture, it was miserable to the point I considered going to my doctors office). I forgot to post this review after my initial review. I purchased a facial package with Luciana. Each facial got worse. There were days Luciana had severe acid reflux and kept burping in my face. She also listened to her own music (earbuds) while doing facial. Most of the time her music was so loud I could hear it. She also walked out of the room several times while letting the steamer burn my face. All her facials felt rushed. Also there were times the bed was soo wet from the previous person being sweaty since the bed was always uncomfortably hot. Her products were hit or miss. Sometimes I left with very nice skin and other times I had several pimples the next day. At the end, I ended up not using all my paid facials and decided never return. read more

I had a classic European facial this morning with Luciana and I will definitely be coming back! She started out the appointment by offering me water and tea and the atmosphere of the room was so serene that I felt instantly relaxed. Once I was comfortable, she asked me about my skin. I've had some acne issues because I have oily skin and Luciana was SO helpful. She walked me through the details of my skin type and what products and regimens work best for it. It's clear she is very knowledgeable about what she does. Then she customized the facial I was receiving specifically so it could target areas I wanted to work on. I highly recommend this place! I would like to tell everyone what happened here at Cara Bella. I purchased a chemical peel from Groupon thinking that a chemical peel would remove my sun spots I had on my cheeks. I scheduled an appointment on Feb 2017. I was attended by luciana. She took me back to a room and start with steam on my face as she the chemical peel mixture ready. Well after about 5 minutes she came back applied some chemical on my face and I started to feel a very painful burning in my face. That lasted about ten minutes. After that I walked up to counter with her and she said it would take several chemical peels in order to see results so I payed $125 for the next one. Before she started the peel, I was never informed of any possible side effects a chemical peel would have on my skin or was I asked if I was using any products on my face. I have never gotten a chemical peel and assumed she was a professional and nothing would happen to my shin. Well after that day my skin started to crack really bad around my mouth, chin, nose. It looked like I had 3rd degree burns on my face. I let her know and she told me to put aqafor on my face and only made my skin worse. That only made my skin clog up and now I had big pimples on top of my burned skin. Since this I now have severe hyperpigmentation, which is dark brown spots all over my face. I had to go to a plastic surgeon to do several IPL sessions and have had to purchase products costing me over $1,500. On top of everything I have to look in the mirror and see my ugly marks which has made me severely depressed. All I wanted was to remove small sun spots and ended up with my face worse and costing me not only money but depression! Please don't go here. Do your research and go to a professional. read more

Facialist told my daughter "we want better reviews and get a better reputation so we changed the name as a way to kind of start over." REALLY BAD BAD BAD customer service. I just finished my first eyelash extension appointment with Luciana. I've never had eyelash extensions before so I was a little nervous, but Luciana was very informative and knowledgeable about the whole process, after-care, and was open to questions as well. She's super sweet and very easy to talk to. She constantly made sure I was satisfied with my lashes every step of the way and asked if I needed any adjustments. Terrible customer service. I bought a groupon for myself for a facial and one for my mom's bday for the European Spa Package. If you try to call to schedule no one will answer the phone or call you back. Instead you will get a text or email asking you to schedule online. The Groupon descriptions do not match the online scheduling descriptions. I tried to call and clarify which one to schedule but never heard back so I instead booked one and left a message about my confusion. Instead of calling me back, the canceled my appointment. Two days later someone calls me back and rudely said I booked the correct one. I went ahead and took my mom to the appointment and 30 minutes before got a text that the appointment was moved 10 minutes. We arrived at the new time and got a text when we arrived that the appointment was delayed another 30 minutes. When someone came out they were unapologetic about running late and only offered to reschedule for another time. Not impressed at all. This was my second time getting eyelash extensions and I'm more then happy with them. The first time I got them was at a salon in gilroy and my first experience with them wasn't so great. I have to say just walking into the salon I was greeted by Luciana who was so kind and welcoming, this was my first time at her salon so I didn't know what to expect. Before she started the lashes she made sure I was comfortable and asked me how I wanted them to look exactly, I told her I wanted them full and long and she did exactly that. Something I was very shocked about was the fact that through out the process of the eyelashes she let me check them to make sure I liked the way she was doing them before finishing them and making me wait till the end. Got a deal for a skin treatment or my mom off of Groupon and booked an appointment online that specifically stated that treatment with Groupon labeled on the reservation option. My mom showed up to the appointment and was blatantly ignored by the lady who was supposed to do the treatment, for about 20 minutes. My mom finally asked when she would be helped since it was past her appointment time and the lady said that the treatment could not be done because she was not told it was a Groupon purchase. Since I booked it for my mom, I called in and and the lady was so rude and obviously did not care. We've been to a few other spas in the area and this was by far the WORST experience we've ever had. First their availability for dates of services was very limited. After moving around our schedules we finally found a day we could go and my friend booked it. (But the online scheduling didn't match the service we paid for). When my friend called to clarify they told her we couldn't use the 3 Groupons we paid for because we are a group(???) and our only option is to pay full price. I understand that Groupon is not the best deal for businesses but they should at least have the decency to provide the services they decide to offer through that site. Horrible service! My sister bought Groupon facials for her and myself. We were notified at the appointment that we needed to show the Groupon voucher. We had not printed it out and were unable to pull it up using our phones because there was no service. She mentioned she had service on her own phone. She did not offer to let us use it. If she really wanted to help us out she would have let us access our Groupon account or gone on her own account to verify the information. Instead she told us twice we could just pay full price for the services. If she doesn't want to accept Groupon vouchers she should not put the business on the website or maybe that's the only way she gets some business. Cara Bella Skin Care is amazing!! I've been to other locations before, but Luciana has changed my point of view on skin care! When I walked in, I waited for a few minutes and Luciana was right on time and started me right away. I got a 30 minute facial, after a few days, I saw that my skin was more clear. Luciana also does my waxing, especially for my eyebrows because my hair is very thick. Luciana knows that I like a nice clean look and she gave me that. Luciana is a very caring towards her clients and listens to them fully. I highly recommend that you come in. Especially us girls, we need a place for someone to listen to our needs and to give us what we want. Cara Bella Skin Care is the definition of that. DO NOT GO HERE. Definitely do not buy the packages they offer. I used a Groupon coupon to start with and was happy with the facial. But once you buy a package, you are considered 2nd rate. Luciana will cancel last minute or change your appointment without even asking you! Tonight was the last straw. I was scheduled for a facial tomorrow at 5:30pm (she even confirmed it via text message!!). Well I noticed in the confirmation email today it said 6pm. I text her and said, no it's for 5:30pm. She said she only makes them on the hour which isn't true since I have her text and distinctly remember making it for 5:30pm! She then tells me she has an appt now at 5 and 7 and can only take me at 6pm. So what happened, after she booked my appointment, she fit others in - all about the buck! If this was a 1-time thing, I wouldn't be so angry, but she's done it on several occasions - clients have to give 24 hours, but she can cancel the day of the service. I even took a day off work and she canceled on me that morning, at which time it was too late to go into work. Yep, I have all the emails & text messages backing up everything I'm saying here. And on the peels - good luck with those. I had a couple great peels and then a couple times absolutely nothing. I still have 2 or 3 facials to go, but I'm so upset with her (I believe she owns this place), that I'd rather lose the other facials (which weren't cheap by any means), then to deal with someone that is unethical and not good to her word. If you read all the other reviews, they also bought on Groupon and then were disappointed with Luciana and the service or lack of. If you go, again, don't buy the package because once she has your money, she'll screw you over when it comes to appointments - you'll take a back seat to those new customers or ones paying for the service the day of. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! Where do I start... I purchased a massage through Groupon and made my appointment. Come the day of my appointment I hadn't received a confirmation so I decided to call & make sure I had an appointment as I'm a 2 hour round trip drive. Of course, they didn't have an appointment for me!! But to my surprise they offered me a GC to come back and try again. I thought that was nice so when I called to make an appointment it was a little difficult and Sofia, the spa manager, was a little rude. So I had my appt and then they text me LESS than 24 hrs before my appt and canceled it!! WOW! Now I try to reschedule for the 3rd time, which was VERY difficult, I even went in to their salon while I was in town and nobody was there to greet me. I waited awhile and finally asked a little boy that was sitting there if anybody was around. He asked if I was there for a facial and I said I wanted to make an appointment. He said his Aunt was giving a facial and I should call to get an appointment!! Ok, fast forward... I finally get ahold of someone and she put me down for the wrong service (I actually bought another service from them) I kept explaining to her what I wanted but she couldn't get it right so I was told the spa manager would call me back to fix it. Of course that never happened. So I figured that I wasn't keeping that appointment because it wasn't correct and NO WAY could I trust them to work on me and after all I had been through. She was seated at the counter and didn't even look up until I approached her. She then proceeded to tell me the the facial deals were only for 1st time customers. I asked her whyvshe didn't call me to tell me. She said, she was waiting to tell me, when I showed up. REALLY? I was going to try to find friends to use the certicates, but she was so unaccomdating, that I complained to living social and they were nice enough to cancel all of them. I cannot express how relaxed I felt leaving Cara Bella! The facial was my first ever but it was so unbelievably enjoyable that I almost fell asleep a few times! Everything she used felt and smelled so amazing! I also got a massaged that was spectacular. The lotion had a delicious and fruity scent and my neck felt so relaxed after. The only thing I'd say is at some points it felt more like a rub than getting knots but I'll just ask for more pressure next time. The massage/facial room was very nice and clean and I liked how it was dimly lit with soft music and waves in the background. The massage table was also heated which just started me off feeling relaxed. Luciana did such a great job with my massage and facial and I appreciated how she maintained more of a "speaks when spoken to" demeanor during the services, as I've had some massages that have been ruined if the masseuse talks the entire time. I had an amazing experience here today and I just couldn't wait to tell you about it. Let's start at the beginning. I get to the boutique about ten minutes before my appointment. I find a parking spot right out front, hop on my phone to a) check in on Yelp! and b) pull up the groupon that I purchased for this appointment. I walk in and a woman greets me and lets me know my aesthetician is finishing up with her previous appointment so take a seat and she'll be out momentarily. I sit down on a comfy chair and see Hugh Jackman's beautiful beaming face on a magazine at the table. So I read for a bit waiting for my pampering. Luciana greets me and walks me to a dimly lit room that smells like heaven and offers me a chocolate while I am undressing and waiting for her. Heck yes! So I climb under the blankets to find a heated blanket above and below my body. At this point, I want to just fall asleep. The blankets are warm and heavy and I feel like I'm in a cocoon and when I leave I may just be a butterfly. She asks me the basic questions- any problems I want to address, what my current skin care regimen is, when was my last facial/treatment. She works so gently on my skin that I, once again, begin to feel myself dozing in and out of consciousness. With the treatment I received today there were a lot of tingly sensations, kinda like getting your hair bleached out. It hurt, but no so bad I wanted to stop. After all, what have we always heard? Pain is beauty. Luckily, every time it seemed to get close to overwhelming, she'd counteract it with a second layer of something cool and soothing. Or a gentle massage with damp fingers. Even the steam part was euphoric. By the time I was done, I didn't want to leave. I was relaxed, warm, comfortable. And I can't wait to do it again. read more

I bought a gift certificate for a Hydradermabrasion facial on Living Social. I scheduled the appointment online as directed on their phone message on Friday. My appointment was at 2:00pm on the following Monday. At 1:07pm Monday, I get a text that I had used a Groupon before (and actually it was for a chemical peel) and that the voucher was only for first time clients. They said I could still go but pay the full cost of service less the value of the voucher. This was less than an hour before my appointment and via text! I was shocked! I had taken off the afternoon from work and even re-scheduled another appointment I had prior for my facial appt. So be very careful if you book an appointment here. Run. Avoid this place at all costs. It's the worst, in my opinion. I purchased a Groupon and called to ask questions. No call back. Just a text telling me to book my appointment online. So I booked a 4 PM diamond microdermabrasion appointment for today and showed up early. I had called again two days before my appointment to ask questions and never received a call back. Not even a text this time. Who does business only via text? This isn't high school. Luciana was late, and appeared surprised I was there. She asked if I had an appointment, and I told her I did. She didn't ask a single question about my skin, redeemed my Groupon, and didn't have me fill out any paperwork even after I told her I'd never been there before. She told me to get under the blanket and left. She came back in without knocking first to ensure I wasn't in the middle of undressing. I've had somewhere between 50 - 100 facials in my life, and many of them at some of the best spas around. I've had other facials at little one person run shops. Everything about this experience was odd, prior to turning just plain awful. Only after I was under the blanket did she ask me a single question about my skin. She asked what kind of skin type I had, so I told her I have sensitive skin. She then refused to perform the service I paid for, and offered me a basic facial instead. I told her the only thing my skin has ever responded badly to was a pumpkin enzyme mask about 10 years ago. I told her I had called to ask questions about the procedure, and never received a call back. She said, "We don't have a full-time receptionist." Really? You don't actually need one in order to return a customer's call. That's business 101. She refused to do the service. She wiped my face off, put the steamer on my face, and left. She seemed annoyed, in a hurry, and totally disinterested. She never came back. Literally, never came back to check on me or continue with the facial. I didn't see her again until I left at 430 PM, five minutes after the steamer had shut itself off. Prior to shutting itself off, the hot water from the steamer kept dripping onto my arm. I got dressed, and was in the lobby asking the hair dresser to tell her I was leaving, when Luciana heard me talking (I was her only customer) and appeared from another room. I looked at her and said, "You left me there so long the steamer shut itself off. I'm leaving." She shrugged her shoulders and said, "Okay." She appeared to genuinely not care, judging by the look on her face, the shrugging of the shoulders, and her one word reply. You know something is REALLY AWFUL when you'd rather walk out on a service you paid good money for, than to stick around and get what you spent your hard earned dollars on. I purchased a Groupon for a 60 minute signature massage. Tried calling to make an appointment but only got voicemail. I left a message and got a text message back on how to schedule. Using the website I scheduled an appointment as directed but the only option was for a facial/massage for Groupon. In the notes section I specified that I had purchased the 60 minute massage. Day of appointment, I show up on time. No one up front to greet me. Luciana came out 15 minutes later to help me. She was pleasant and nice but told me I was scheduled for a facial. I said I had indicated in the comments I purchased a massage. She told me no one was there to do that and I could reschedule for the next day. I said again that my notes on the scheduling said what I was there for and the only option to book an appointment was for the facial. She said I could wait a few minutes and she would see what could be done. She then said they could do it after all but it would be a 30 minute facial and a 30 minute massage. I said fine. At this point it was almost 30 minutes past my appointment time. I have never had a facial and I did NOT enjoy it. The massage part was okay but I have had better. This was a complete let down and disappointment. I would not recommend this establishment and I will not be returning. Usually, the day after a microdermabrasion, my skin looks like it is glowing. However, not this time. No noticeable results-AT ALL. Understandable in hindsight, as the microderm machine felt like a child's toy on my face and was obviously bad quality. In fact, when I got home, I had red scratches all over my face. This was not a "medical" microdermabrasion and this is not worth the value listed ($250). Esthetician lectured me for five+ minutes before starting the facial until I interrupted her. She then left me under steam which was centered on my neck and burning me. I had to physically move myself to make sure the steam was hitting my face. Unfortunately, she is a low end esthetician pretending to be an expert. She is also presenting false advertising in her skin care facial menu, so buyer beware. As well, if she is truly that knowledgable about skincare, she needs to invest in better equipment for her business. After a Groupon purchase that I thought was a good deal based on the description (I now know I paid too much), I will never return to this esthetician. read more
