In fact, this was the only shop where I found sporting hats and other soccer apparel. I bought postcards, socks and a Liverpool hat here. The prices are reasonable, maybe the best in town. They carry a bunch of corny, but fun, items like bouncing Queen and King heads, red double decker buses toys and red phone booth knick knacks. The shop is about a block from the British Museum. On nice days, they move merchandise out onto the sidewalk.

Byfords is a wholesale florist shop selling fresh cut flowers and artificial ones as well…read more The best bit though is the sundries part here they sell loads of baskets and metal buckets and pots ideal if you like making hampers for Christmas presents, ribbon in every size and colour you can image at unbelievable prices these are sold by the whole roll usually about 25m but often these cost the same price as a couple of metres in a retail shop. They also sell cellophane for wrapping up those hampers and big packs of cheap tissue paper. They are open 6 days a week closed on sundays but they do shut for lunch 1pm -2pm every day.

They have fresh flowers delivered a couple of time a week as they have been delivering them when I have been passing on my way to work. I have had several bunches of flowers from here and have never had a problem with them. There is free parking outside or a short stay car park just across the road.

They deliver promptly and will go right out of their way to make the bouquet special. They have included fruit, nuts, chocolates and many other extras into the baskets to make the recipient feel just that bit more special, you just have to ask and if it's availiable in rural Stowmarket they will try to assist. The flowers last absolutly ages given a little care which is a testament to their suppliers and their attention to detail. For a busy and forgetful bloke like me this shop is a God-send and has probably saved my relationship with my mum more than once. I only wish there was somewhere comparable where I live to keep me in my wife's good books too!
