THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE BAKERY. I tried calling customer service AND the store multiple times, and NO ONE answers. The phone just rings forever, so at this point I'm leaving a review. DO NOT BUY THE TRES LECHES CAKE. Maybe I got a bad one, but it was EXTREMELY DRY and honestly just NOT GOOD. That is NOT how tres leches is supposed to be. I literally wasted $30. I should've just gone to La Bonita instead. Save your money and go somewhere else. My son was very upset, as this was his birthday cake... every break i get, i walk down to the store, stand in line for a hot meal and never do i walk out with a meal from their deli/hot meals/burrito/taco counter. i always have to return back to work hungry and time wasted. is it my race that slows the line down ‍ they need a star '0' and i will never return. so if you are of color (any that is isn't under the latino umbrella) do not go to this store (4015 buffalo dr.) for hot meals. they slow down and you can see folks are not.moving. not working. imtentionally intentionally my money can god elsewhere read more

The quality of prepared take out is very good. They even have chicharron. I was impressed. Fast and convenient service and clean.

This location is right in the southwest part of Vegas where it was much needed. Each employee that we encountered was very friendly and helpful. Unsurprisingly, the prepared food and drinks counter was busy and there was a bit of a line but the employees addressed each customer warmly. The store was easy to navigate and well stocked. The last two Tuesday, my husband and I had Tuesday tacos, it's very good. The meat very tender and well seasoned. They have improved a lot. Heat it up 30 seconds, meat still tender and the tortillas still soft. That's what you want. Service is fast and everything looks clean. read more

This is where I do most of my shopping but Ive notice every time the HOT summers come along it seems like every cardenas you go to seem to have the AC not on or not working. I went to day to buy some things and this place was so hot I couldn't stand it I had to leave my things and go to a different grocery store. As a customer it feels horrible trying to shop in these conditions I can only imagine how terrible it must be for the employees who work there to be working without AC . With all they money they make from their paying customers the AC should be working !!! I been going to this store for about a year now, I miss how I used to be in n out of the store straight to what I needed and left, now self check out is always closed I have to wait in line for 10 items that I can easily use self check out and leave. The other day I was in the store and a rude lady from self check out grabbed her personal phone and called a cashier on the phone telling her to watch the (racial profiled couple) to scan what's at the bottom of there cart like if they where trying to take it. I am Hispanic and when I go in this store I don't even feel comfortable around there employees they act like every person is a thief, so insulting. Horrible customer service! read more

Self check out was actually pretty nauseating and made me feel very uneasy, no greeting when I arrived to self checkout. I was being watched like a hawk while checking out. Every item I put on the scale she was keeping an eye on, she might as well helped me checkout. Tapping her screen by the small register to see what I rang up. Other people (non black) came through the line she greeted, she was no where near them like she was with me. Im quite sure she assumed I was going to steal. I had a big smile on my face walking around Cardenas Markets that one of the friendly staff asked if I liked the place. I said, "I love it! It makes me happy!" You'll find a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables with the best price. I've never been to a much more affordable place for fresh produce anywhere else in Vegas. It's also the only place I've been that sells banana leaves for rice cakes, tamales, etc! It's clean, bright, spacious and very organized. I thoroughly enjoyed browsing through different kinds of spices, corn chips, marinated meats, sauces, drinks, beans, etc. You can also get authentic and ready to eat Mexican food at Cocina. So glad they open one closer to Summerlin area. Place is big and have big selection of products. They have a cooked food area- with tacos, chicken, salsa, ceviche. They make tortillas as well. There is a tamales station - both sweet and savory. Good selection of bread and cakes. Their produce and vegetables are cheaper than regular markets and fresh. Like their meat and poultry areas. Place is big and clean. May need more help. read more

Loved this a new location that opened. I was just passing by from getting gas at Sam's near there. You walk in, very clean love the music that is playing. They were stocked up with everything. I loved how they had a tamale area (all fresh and very hot) I should've took more home but I only grabbed a green chile with chicken and a sweet corn. I forgot pictures:( but the sweet corn was a fat on nice and delicious. Both were very delicious. I got apples as well and two pan dulce. All they had were fast check out, from what I overheard the cashiers never showed up. I was going to buy the beef, the small size 1ib that was a roll they all expired on the 24th :( and it's the 31 January -1st of February. I let someone know but not sure if they cared why I gave a 3 stars. Hopefully no one gets sick. Overall it's a cute store read more

look for special items on sale, such as 3 avocados for $1, 49cents/lb papaya and 99 cents for peaches and nectarines. Grocers are super helpful and friendly. try to go on the first day limited sale, fruits are usually plummer and firmer. great staff, helpful. But do watch what price the meat counter is punching in after they weighed your item, sometimes they punch in the original price and not the sale price. overall, great value on certain items! read more

I asked my daughter to stop and get some marinated pork to make tacos for dinner when I cooked some of that meat something didn't look right with it But I saved some for the following day... surprise I found some strange stuff in it.. after calling the the store I was asked if I might it annoy or made the person mad who served me the meat... so I said wow are you asking a serious question!!? So Armando investigated and it turned out that corn husk was grounded with the pork...nice ha I was asked to take the meat back this is almost At 10 pm I didn't want to go back I asked to have the manager return my call to talk about the horrible situation and no one bothered to call me back... We recently moved here from California & were delighted to see Cardenas nearby. On two separate visits the same male cashier has assisted with the purchase. The first visit I greeted him and he ignored me. The second visit I greeted him and again he did not acknowledge me. He absolutely lacks communication skills and stands at the register with an attitude of entitlement. I even thought that maybe he cannot speak. No "hello" or "you are welcome ". Not sure how the management found him fit to work with the public. If he is not disabled then he is arrogant. I felt compelled to post this review, because management should offer him some training on customer service etiquette or place him in an area where he does not have to speak to customers. When I left I did ask for management but the other cashier was apologetic and said I hat she would inform management. This last incident happened this past Tuesday evening. Not sure I want to continue shopping at this location. read more

I love this place. Prices are great. And food is excellent. They have pre marinated carne asada which is amazing. I'm a white dude and I've never been able to get the marinade right on my own. The service is wonderful, and I want to emphasize the kindness and sensitivity of your entire staff. Last Tuesday, I went grocery shopping and couldn't fit the water bottle in my shopping cart because of its weight. A woman named Sonya came to help me and accompanied me, making sure that until the very last moment I felt accompanied and attended to. At the checkout, Miss Mayra served me with such kindness, which is difficult to find these days. For me, it's the best supermarket chain in the valley for its unique flavor and family-like treatment. This was my first time in a Latin American supermarket, so I was wide eyed and excited about all of the amazing offerings. Immediately as you walk in, the aromas tantalize you! There are fresh juice options (agua frescas and horchatas) and hot bar options. I could easily spend a good half hour just meandering right by the entrance. But I had a whole store to explore! As you curve through the store, there's the all the fresh produce, hot tamales, fresh salsas, ceviches, BREADS and pastries, candy, tortilleria, area with fresh cheeses, and meats, and seafood. They also have an easy self service register, so check out was too easy! We left with some bread, bimbuñuelos, horchata, but we can't wait to come back and try everything! read more
