I had been referred to this company by two of our neighbors who were generally satisfied with the quality of work. Both neighbors warned us about the job-site manner of the owner, Tim Bailey. The project lasted about one month, and I was initially impressed with how Bailey handled the site preparation using his mini-excavator and how he worked through several construction challenges we ran into. However, I was immediately put off by, in my opinion, his excessive use of bad language and how he treated his employees. He was so loud and disruptive that eventually two of our nearby neighbors complained about it to us. In the end, I asked him to leave my property before the job was complete because I had hit my limit on what I was willing to tolerate as acceptable behavior on my property. Although the job was not finished, I paid him the full amount of the contract and was more than willing to incur the additional costs to complete the project in order to get out from under the stress, the drama, the foul language, what I consider to be verbal abuse and general mistreatment of his employees and the overall disruption on my property.

This "company" is a joke, and I actually should give myself a 'one-star' for not realizing the incompetence before I handed over the cash. The time it took to get our 'signature piece' for our dining room was not a huge issue because we were remodeling, but OMGoodness, if you are in a hurry--steer clear! I was in a hurry when I picked this piece up, and did not have time to fully inspect it before it was loaded, cash handed over and I was on my way--I was in a hurry because I needed to get to a funeral and really was not in a great frame of mind--totally my fault there. Anyway, it would not have been that bad except that when I realized that the table top was SO WARPED (did you see the pictures?) I contacted the "craftsman" for a refund, and he said, "we don't do refunds on custom pieces". --OMG, this was custom alright! Beautiful wood, but warped and he TOTALLY KNEW IT!! He did tell me that he could make me a new top, but "why bother?" I told myself. He made the base TO MATCH THE WARP!!! NO WAY he did not know; this thing looks more like a half pipe than a kitchen table! Anyway, piece of crap product, piece of crap business, no customer service, and overall horrible experience. I paid $2000.00 for this highly expensive fire wood! After many emails arguing back and forth, and not getting anywhere, I decided to give up after not hearing back from this top-notch company. avoid at all costs…read more I've had an incredibly frustrating experience with Gateway Property Management. Their handling of my account and additional charges has been nothing short of appalling. Despite raising multiple maintenance issues and requesting clarifications on overspend, they were slow to respond (if at all), and the issues went unresolved for months. Even after asking for a breakdown of the costs and a deferment of payment while awaiting answers, they continued to impose late fees and even threatened court action. Their lack of transparency, poor communication, and unwillingness to address valid concerns are unacceptable. If you're looking for a management company that values customer service, avoid Gateway Property Management at all costs.

Then a month before my lease was up I was diagnosed with breast cancer. So I went to them and asked for an extension for just a month so I could recover from my surgery and they refused. So I tried getting all my stuff packed and moved before my surgery but fell short and when I asked for an extra week to get the rest of my belongings because I physically was unable I was told it was against the law to give me a week.
