We've been patients at Care Medics Manotik for over seven years, and have found the nurses, administration team and our doctor to be well-trained, educated, friendly and personable. We appreciate that it is not a walk-in clinic, so your appointment times are kept manageable and prompt. We also found the doctor's referrals to specialist care, like skin cancers and diabetes complications were excellent and fast. Coming from the Province of Nova Scotia, where access to specialist care could take years, we have zero complaints with healthcare in Ontario. And Care Medics remains an integral part of that care. read more

She hung up on me today after I inquired about a form I have been asking the doctor to sign for weeks now. I know everyone has a boss, so I will be escalating this if it's the last thing I do. I have been unimpressed by this clinic since it's inception. I usually opt to visit a walk in clinic when I need to see a doctor because it saves me the frustration of calling over and over again only to have a machine tell me to call back later. When someone finally does pick up they are more often than not curt and un-helpful. Despite the fact that I've been with my doctor for the past 20 years, I am not willing to dedicate a full day to calling the office everytime I need a prescription filled. I'd also like to be able to see a doctor in a timely manner when needed. read more

The front desk staff are awful. Extremely unpleasant, seem like they hate their jobs, cut you off when you talk, have a rude and unkind tone... Have never been impressed with them and nothing has changed in years. Watch out cause you may get your head bitten off there. read more

The horrible administrative policies are meant to make it as difficult as possible for patients. No voicemail, no appt confirmation, no emails/text reminders, no open channels of communication. The doctors are good, but the policies make it impossible to get the care one deserves. They change a policy and expect you to come read their window to see the new policy. Formal complaints have been submitted to provincial health care investigative authorities. read more

If you can find care elsewhere, please do! The administrative staff are not helpful, unprofessional and unkind. They have been rude to the point where they have made members of my family cry. For example, they move your appointments around without your knowledge, call and tell you it has been moved rather than contacting you to explain a situation and request that your appointment be moved so that you can work out a new date. I have a significant amount of experience being an administrative assistant and have spent some time as an admin in health care--this is not how you deal with patients or their families. I have had to stay with this clinic because my family doctor is here, knows my history and is a great physician, but if you can look around for a new doctor or are currently looking for one STAY AWAY from Care Medics Kanata!!! read more

The worst administrative staff. Extremely unprofessional and unkind. I'm rarely bothered by poor service and everyone has bad days. However- everytime I come to this clinic I'm floored by how terrible the people at the front desk are. It's too bad since the doctors are thorough and competent. read more

Visited here to see Dr. Vernooy for a physical. She is amazing and really takes her time with you. I used to work as a part time admin at her old office, and then became her patient. She is so nice and genuinely cares about her patients, and is very experienced! Feel very lucky to have her as my doctor. :) The office itself is located in the Walmart Superstore. There's an entrance from outside directly into the clinic, but there's also access within the Walmart. The Walmart saves you from boredom when waiting. Also there's a pharmacy in the Walmart so that's convenient. Then there's also a small plaza outside the Walmart, so you can go for some coffee or check out the other stores. UPDATE: Awesome customer service! I really appreciate the doctors being so attentive to their patients feedback on service. They're all about providing a great experience there! Overall, would recommend! :) read more
