Five stars!!! We hired Visiting Angels to care for my mother-in-law after knee replacement…read moresurgery, and they helped her so much!! She started with 24 hour care and they worked with us to reduce the time as she got better. All the caregivers were very good to her, and we couldn't have asked for more. They helped her with her walking, made her meals, took her to therapy appointments and reminded her to take her medications. If we have the need again, we will definitely hire Visiting Angels!

I would give zero stars if I could. This service is a joke. My mother set up 2 weeks of care for my…read moredisabled sister (Weeks in advance) because she had to have surgery, in which all was covered per Nancy at Visiting Angels. The first day the caregiver came and seemed very nice, however she went to lunch and never came back. She left my sister in her bed, out of her wheelchair. Thank God a family friend was there as well to get my sister out of bed and back into her wheelchair. My mother just being out of surgery couldn't handle any of this. When speaking with Melissa, (because at this point Nancy has also disappeared) she continued to say, "we are looking for a replacement". Which is strange because they had several other caregivers scheduled for other days so why was NO days covered now when only 1 caregiver disappeared. They had no excuse. I called for another update the same day it happened, and everyone had gone home for the day (at 4pm)! After much frustration we had to continuously call them for an update which they didn't have. So, Melissa gave us another agency to call and just told us to call them ourselves. Just completely dropping us. No urgency whatsoever. We did call said Agency and they had care for us within hours and updated us every 15 minutes and also covered the rest of the 2 weeks. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND VISITING ANGELS. They will leave you high and dry with no explanation and leave your loved one in a compromising and possibly dangerous situation alone. Come to find out that 4 of their caregivers recently walked out as well.

I am happy with the ñurses that were sent, they were different nurses almosț every time. There was…read morenò continuity.. Nurses were ùninnformèd aboùt how to care for my wound, They knew how I wanted to be seen afternoon, but they wabted to come before I1:30. Dressings were not applied correctly.. I hated them ever since they took over from Holy Redeemer, Aren't monopolies illegal in this country? .

If I could leave a negative number, I would. Seemingly attentive initially, and claiming to "care"…read moreso deeply about their "patients" (They are NOT medical professionals), & a well-spoken director who will fool you for only as long as he feels like it, they try to hide under a false guise of care and alleged professionalism. Make no mistake, it is absolutely false. Zero consistency for a simple 1x per week support visit, & one of THE most rude, judgemental, righteous nurses I've ever met on my life, which is actually saying a lot. One of my besties has been a hospice RN for over 30 years. She, as well as my mother's case managers and her doctor were absolutely mortified at how wed been treated. Negativity, lack of training judgementalism, zero consistency, while taking our money to not make our life easier, but to bring more headaches due to a lack of actual caring with depth, and lack of appropriate training, leading to bad judgement calls, (I have to teach a caregiver to use water & soap to get medicated cream off????!! THAT was surreal!) & bad decisions....none of which were exactly brain surgery. We were very patient with them, giving chance after chance to get it right, un-deserved, in the hopes that perhaps some relationship building would glean us positive affects, & keeping in the hopes of finally getting some routine down. Im reminded of a great cliche- "When someone shows you who they are the first time, believe them ". There is a paralell here. They all brought my ailing mom more stress, made me feel absolutely harrassed, and even scared her. Totally unacceptable. What a relief today to have in-home medical visits, and a new comprehensive plan, to support my mom, & her care-taker, me, in full. Just their presence today brought us fresh perspective, as well as the knowledge that one under-qualified "care-giver", who comes 1X per week, and a nurse who has known us all of 25 minutes spread out over a couple of months, was NOT, the "help" we needed. Indeed not! A new person every time. A circus, really. A joke. $40 per hour to not only NOT bring needed care, but in fact we paid them to bring us more headaches. And when they cant do their job, they will look for an out to explain that away, such as the very customers themselves. Be forwarned, & do your homework when hiring "care"! I would never, ever recommend the Scottsdale location. Or this company in general. Id say the attitude was just as bad as the "care"- which was minimal at best. A babysitter would be cheaper, & perhaps better. Shame on them. What an awful experience, over & over! But now, were in a new, surely better position with a plan, so that I & my family can try to get ahead, instead of being held back more by this primarily self-serving only, company. Im relieved this ridiculous experience with them, & time wasted in good faith, is OVER! Now we can breathe, & look forward to new, and much more positive & productive plans, & results. Good luck to everyone, I hope you find the right care for you & your families!
