I feel very unimpressed with the attitude I got from career edge as regards to feedback on the interview I went for. There seems to be a communication gap between the prospective interns and the consultants. I felt really left out and would never advise anyone to go through them again. It was a very unpleasant experience under them and I hope no one else experiences such. I spent time and money traveling from Markham to Mississauga for an interview and I couldn't even get just a little feedback as regards to it from them. I was truly disappointed. read more

Native Canadians do not often realize how difficult it is for immigrants to land professional jobs here, due to Canadian xenophobia and protectionism (both present but largely unacknowledged) in the workplace, especially in the private sector. This organization's CareerBridge program helps place immigrants in internship programs, many leading to permanent positions. I am now working for the first time in Canada, thanks to their help in getting me an internship. They also have two other programs, one for disabled people and one for new college grads. If you fall into any of the three categories and are looking for work, please check them out. read more

Established in 1996.

In 1996, a group of business leaders from some of Canada's leading organizations made a commitment to significantly contribute to youth employment by developing Career Edge Organization and Career Edge, a unique and innovative paid internship program, after learning that more than 600,000 Canadian graduates were unemployed or under-employed. Since then, these founding organizations have joined forces with over 1,000 additional employers to provide over 13,000 recent university and college graduates, including those with self-declared disabilities, and internationally qualified professionals with career-launching internship opportunities.

ABUSIVE! A very skilled friend applied to this organization a few years ago and got harassed over the phone by one of Career Edge Talent Managers and BLACK LISTED my friend. I will never forget that a Canadian company which should be focused on understanding immigrants and culture differences got this low with a minority without any privileges in our country. read more
