1 Star -- Extremely disappointing and heartbreaking…read more My daughter had been a patient of this practice since she was one hour old. For five years, this was the pediatric practice we trusted with her care. She was not a new patient, and I was not a parent with a history of billing problems. In five years, we never had billing issues, never had a no-call/no-show, never had a late cancellation, and I was always extremely open and responsive in my communication with the office. That is what makes this situation so incredibly frustrating. There was a $46.66 balance from this year that I genuinely did not know existed. There are two parents listed on her account, and neither of us knew about this balance. I was told the office called once, but there was no documentation that they actually spoke with anyone or left a voicemail. ONCE. Emails regarding the balance went into my spam folder. At some point, I would think my history with the practice would have been a red flag in the other direction. If a parent who has always paid their bills, always communicated with the office, never missed appointments without notice, and has been responsive for five years suddenly stops responding to billing communication, wouldn't that make you wonder whether the parent simply isn't receiving the message? And when there are two parents on the account and neither one has received or acknowledged the message, wouldn't that warrant another phone call, another form of communication, or even a simple text before deciding to dismiss a five-year-old patient? Instead, I received certified mail dated July 8 regarding the balance, stating that I had 30 days to respond. I did not actually receive that letter until August 15. The moment I became aware of the balance, I contacted the office to address it. And the response? The CEO decided to dismiss my five-year-old daughter as a patient over $46.66. Not a patient who repeatedly ignored bills. Not a patient with a history of missed appointments. Not a patient who refused to communicate. A five-year-old child who had been their patient since she was one hour old. That is the part that makes me both angry and emotional. My daughter is worth more to me than $46.66. She is worth more than the price of a tank of gas. She is worth more than whatever administrative inconvenience was involved in making one or two additional attempts to reach her parent. I would have paid the bill without hesitation if I had known it existed. In fact, I paid the $46.66 after they had already dismissed my daughter. That is what makes this hurt and anger me so much--this was never about me refusing to pay. I would have paid it. I DID pay it. My child was dismissed over a bill I didn't even know existed. What hurts most is that after five years of trusting this practice with my daughter's care--from the time she was literally one hour old until the age of five--the relationship ended over $46.66, when the situation could have been resolved with a little communication and common sense. I have since established care with a new pediatrician. When I explained exactly what happened, their office assured me that they would never drop a pediatric patient over a bill in this manner. That response really put into perspective how differently practices can choose to treat the families who trust them with their children's care. Parents deserve better communication, compassion, and consideration when it comes to their children's healthcare. I would strongly encourage parents to ask this office about its billing and patient-dismissal policies before choosing them for their children. I expected a pediatric practice to prioritize communication, compassion, and the continuity of care for a 5-year-old. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. Five years. Two parents. One child. Since one hour old. Over $46.66. That's what I will remember about this practice.

I wanted to be the first person writing a review of this pediatric practice because I have had…read morereally great service here. While the decor may be old fashioned, and the phone communication difficult (between a Kentucky accent and my Belgian accent, we needed a few tries to get my name spelled correctly etc.), the care has been great so far. I have only visited doctor Adley and absolutely trust him 100% with our little baby (2 months). I saw him for a pre-birth visit, a few days after the birth of our girl, at the 1 and 2 month check up. Actually, I always make sure I schedule our appointments on a Monday so I know he'll be in. It's important to find someone you trust especially when you're living abroad and I just feel like I can always call this practice and that Dr. Adley will help out. His advice has been really helpful and down to earth, which I really appreciate!

We've seen about 3 different doctors, all who are extremely knowledgeable, but our favorite and most trusted doctor is Dr. Kevin Kelly. He's great with our son and he is always in a happy, cheerful mood. He explains things to us in great detail and is always very friendly. The staff is overall very friendly too. They often give us plenty of samples of formula which has been very helpful! About the facility; it's very home-like, perhaps because the practice is located in a huge home which has been turned pediatric office. The waiting room just feels like you're sitting in grandma's living room. The patient rooms all have very cute pictures painted on the walls. I love the place! I would recommend it to all my family and friends!

We were with Pediatric Partners for nearly four years before an out-of-state move forced us to find…read morea new pediatrician. This is a wonderful practice with excellent doctors who truly care about the welfare of your child, and I highly, highly recommend them to anyone searching for a pediatrician in the NKY area. They are associated with St. Elizabeth Edgewood and Children's Hospital in Cincinnati. This is a three-doctor practice, and each doctor is personable and knowledgeable, but they each have a very different style and personality, and so I think the practice could appeal to many different types of parents (and varied parenting styles). We specifically saw Dr. Cahill, who saw us through the birth of our first and second child, through illnesses, injuries, and check-ups. She was never rushed with us, we always felt we could ask as many questions as necessary and take up as much of her time as we needed. She was calming when my wife was stressed, filled with wonderful advice for a new mother, and was accepting (though not supportive) of our alternative vaccination schedule. I feel she truly got to know my children. In addition, the staff is warm and affectionate with the children, they are very good about getting sick and/or injured children in same-day without appointments (call ahead to avoid an additional fee and longer wait-time), and they have an after-hours answering service where you can call and leave a message if you have a serious health concern, and the doctor-on-call will get back to you within an hour. My wife used this service several times as a nervous new mother, and no matter which doctor was on-call, they always responded promptly, were extremely helpful, and never made her feel that she was putting them out or being silly by calling after hours. My ONLY complaint is that, because they are so good about seeing sick children same-day, because they do make regular rounds at the hospital, and because they don't rush through appointments but talk through parental concerns, the wait to see the doctor was always very long. I understand why it is long, but I feel it does deserve mention. My wife always tried to get the first appointment of the day to avoid the wait, but even so, we often had to wait longer than we expected to see a doctor. I did not deduct a star for this because, frankly, I feel the service and care my children received was worth the wait.

My siblings have been with this practice and I have 6 kids who all have been with this. Total years 50+ The doctors used to have control over their practice and over the past couple of years have lost it. The doctors gave all power over to their Office Manager who is NOT A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL. She does not communicate to the doctors properly what you have said. It's an absolute nightmare. "You just have a fussy baby" Trish Tolman said to me after I requested an appointment and was denied. Come to find out my now 2 year old son is severely allergic to dairy. I was also told by a doctor there he had eczema when it was truly hives. Confirmed by Children's. The practice claims to take care of the whole child but they fail to properly take care of children who have mental health needs. The staff and some doctors do not understand mental health and how medication affect the body or lack of medication. Or how abruptly stopping therapy affects the child. The most office staff are HORRIBLE. We are usually in the Covington location and drive from Union to have stayed with this practice. There is one who works there who is nice. The office staff DO NOT HOLD MEDICAL DEGREES. I want to speak directly to my children's doctor so the message is given to him correctly. At least get an appointment and speak about the concerns. But that's not possible. This Practice is about making money not about your child's well being. If this practice was like when Dr. James Kelly ran it, it would still be great. This practice has lost the vision of founder Dr. James Kelly. Truly sad. Dr. Kelly would have never given his practice up to money or his staff.

Please, please, please consider Eastern Hills Pediatrics for your little one!…read more Back story: I used a different Pediatrician for my daughter for the two months of her life. I was criticized by this doctor and really felt like I was failing as a Mom. She didn't appreciate that I preferred to pump since my little one wouldnt latch. She also mixed up a food allergy with a skin allergy. Fast Forward: I met Nancy Brashear with Eastern Hills Pediatrics at a local baby expo. Nancy immediately took me under her wing and reassured me that I was doing great (first time mom) and that my baby was medically perfect! Nancy and the staff gave a wonderful first impression! I called right away to schedule an appointment and was in right away, they now accept most if not all insurance- awesome! It's a little complicated to find (building behind Mercy Anderson, 3rd floor) but once you're inside, you know it's the place you want to treat your child. Extremely clean and bright, sick vs well areas, tons of educational literature for parents and fun toys for kiddos. The exam rooms have very classy themes and the furniture is top notch. The nurses are all very nice and professional. Appointments are always quick yet thorough. I cannot praise Nancy Brashear enough. She has uplifted me from complete meltdowns in office regarding my baby's health. She's always a phone call away, which I've utilized and she has personally left me voicemails regarding results from important tests. I've also called the nurse hotline a few times and they always call back right away and give me the correct answer for my little one. I've also had Dr. Furby when Nancy wasn't available: he is a very smart, thorough Doctor. Plus, what kid doesn't love getting a sticker at the end of their appointment? They never run out ;)

Last 3 children have been healthy, and I slacked on their physicals. We were dropped from the practice, which was understandable. However, we received no communication telling us that we no longer had a doctor. We didn't find out until an emergency situation when the doctor's refused treatment and told us to go elsewhere. To me this showed a lack of integrity, trust and what about that hippocratic oath? This instance showed a huge lack of professionalism.
