After spelling out my pharmacy information with phone number, when the physician ordered a prescription instead of sending it to my pharmacy, they sent it to CVS without my knowledge. It took my nurse on staff to figure out the problem and had it settled. I'll be Alerting my health insurance to watch for any discrepancies. read more

I've had good and bad experiences here. It really just depends on the doctor you are seeing. The good: I went in for an ear infection and covid. They got me in quickly, diagnosed me and prescribed me medication. They were great! The bad: I went in for a sty that just kept getting worse. After seeing them twice, I went to another clinic and they gave me the proper medications that resolved my issue. I suffered for weeks unnecessarily because they didn't give me proper medicines. I think they can handle your run of the mill colds, flu and like, but avoid for anything outside of that. read more

Who wants to be at urgent care? No one. Unfortunately, I have come to know this location well due to being sick with a toddler every other month. Staff changes every time I come in so it's hard to rate this place. I had to come in to get tested for strep and flu so virtual visit was out. Sometimes you get a physician that is on top of their game and some that are just learning and don't remember to ask you all the questions so you kinda have to do their job. As a public health warning do not go here for your COVID test. During our visit this week there were over 15 people packed within a small lobby area - all of which were individuals coming to get COVID testing. I am honestly shocked that local small business such as stores and restaurants can act more responsibly than a business dedicated to people's well being. The volume of people all at risk with COVID within a small room with no open air is unacceptable and is in blatant disregard to state of Ohio recommendations. I will likely get my family tested for COVID again in a few weeks purely based on the exposure risk at this business. Do yourself and your family a favor and go to another more responsible urgent care establishment which adheres to COVID protocols. Speaking to friends, I understand there are other urgent cares in region that offer either drive thru or services where we wait in your vehicle and they will call you in when its your turn. read more

I am not sure where these bad reviews are coming from but my service today was outstanding. From the point of check in to the initial nurse checking me the customer care was wonderful. The ladies we nice and professional and very helpful. The lady Grace who treated me was very friendly and patient with all of my questions. She was very helpful and made me feel like she knew me. It was refreshing to get such phenomenal care in the midst of times when it feels like if you go to a dr they want you in and out of there so quickly you don't even get to ask most of your questions. If I could give this place a negative scoring I would. When I first walked in everything was clean and the front nurse was just there filling out my paperwork in the system and nothing more. When I went back the first person to come in said that I had the startings of a fever and my heart rate was elevated. Then when the doctor came in they said that they didn't think it was Covid but a sinus infection. Only offered a Covid test. The doctors name was Meredith. If u get her it would be more helpful to go talk to a rock and walk out. Don't even bother with her specifically. Personally said that I would have to have a fever and symptoms for at least 11 days before she would do this office would feel comfortable doing anything for "liability reasons". When I walked out I heard all of the staff taking about how since I came early to try and not let it get worse that I was just out looking for an easy way to get pills for an addiction I don't have. Then in front of other staff went back on everything she wrote in my chart. These people all deserve to not be in charge of peoples health. We would all be safer. So now I get to go back to college classes tomorrow and hope that I'm not gonna get anyone else sick since I have to suffer through all of my symptoms for another 10 days before they will even see me again. On 10/26 I was bitten on the back of my hand while playing with my cat. It was late and I was tired so, I made the stupid decision to just wipe it off instead of getting out of bed to wash it thoroughly. Yes, I know cat spit is toxic. I already said it was stupid. Anyway, I woke up Wednesday morning to find my hand very swollen, red and painful. My son and daughter-in-law were in town, so I did what anyone would do. I washed my boo-boo and took them to the zoo. Do you think I sought out medical care after that? If you answered NO you are correct! I went to Condados Tacos instead. It may not have been smart, but it was delicious. I'll review them next. Spoiler alert - SOOO GOOOOD! By Black Friday I decided to go to the Urgent Care in Hyde Park Plaza. I was greeted by the receptionist with smile since she was on the phone with what was obvious a patient. She then apologized and gave me some paperwork to fill out. The nurse soon called me back and took my vitals. She also gave me a basin of warm soapy water to soak my hand in. A few minutes later Anna Tomosky came in and introduced herself. She checked my hand, bandaged it, called in a script to CVS (Yes. I'll review them too) for an antibiotic and sent me on my way. I only saw a couple patients there, so I will say they weren't busy. I only waited about 5 minutes before I was called back. All of the employees I encountered were very friendly and professional. I was completely pleased with my care from the moment I arrived until the time I left. I will not hesitate to go back there if the need ever presented itself in the future. read more

Went in for a rapid covid test, was told I could wait outside. I had brought a garden chair and waited outside for 1.5 hours, came inside to check and was told I was up next. After another half hour of waiting and seeing new people being called before me, I asked again and they told me they had called me before and I didn't answer. I was right outside as I WAS TOLD I could do. I explained that and they made me sign in again, so I got a refund and left. NEVER again. My friend Frank had recommended I go to this office when I fell ill and did not have a primary care physician. Registration was quick and friendly. The waiting room was spacious so I did not have to sit in close proximity to any other patients. The waiting time was suprisingly quick for a medical office. The nurse practitioner was engaging and compassionate. She reviewed everything she was going to do. The testing barely hurt. So the appointment itself with the dr was pretty quick and although I would normally prefer a more in-depth examination, after the 2 hour wait I was ready to get out of there. The lady at the front desk was honestly very rude and had an attitude problem. My copay was almost double of what it usually costs at urgent care so naturally I asked if they had run my insurance through correctly to which she replied by giving me a hard copy of my receipt that has no information about my insurance. I have given this place multiple chances over the past year due to convenience of location. It is making more sense to me as to why there is no one in the waiting room when I visit. I have been misdiagnosed, denied a referral to a primary care physician (because they said a PCP wouldn't tell me anything that they haven't already told me), and I just went to pick up a prescription at the specific pharmacy that I told them, and it's not there. I will most likely have to wait until tomorrow to get this prescription for something I have been fighting for over 8 days. For an urgent care, there has been no real sense of "urgency" and that's disappointing. The doctors are extremely friendly, but unfortunately in this business, that's not what matters when you're sick and in pain if they can't give you accurate information. read more

This is the worst urgent care ever! Go ANYWHERE else! I've been sick with a fever for ten days, not even able to get out of bed. I went here and they gave me a Covid test, said it was negative, then said bye. I had to ask them to listen to my lungs. They checked nothing else, then told me if I really wanted to someone to help I should go to the hospital. Then my husband called to get more info, they left him on hold for an hour before he finally hung up - never even spoke to anyone. First they have sick people wait together in the waiting room vs. offering to call you and have you wait in your car. I chose to wait outside. I got the test on a Saturday. It's Wednesday - no results. I called the lab who said they never got the sample. The lab gave me the urgent care's phone number to call, which I couldn't find online. So I called the urgent care...they've had my negative results for days and just didn't email me to tell me (like they said they would). Thankfully I had gone to UC Health for a test that Monday and already knew by night time that I was negative. Otherwise I would still be isolating waiting on this urgent care. I've been here twice. First time service was great. Second time I snapped my ankle and came here, was xrayed told there was nothing wrong and put on a split and told to not walk on it for a week or two. I bought crutches and the nurse showed me how to use them. I told them there was no way the snapping and popping noise I heard was just a sprain but they stood by their x rays and I don't argue with science. I was prescribed ibuprofen and sent on my merry way. The pain was unbearable even with ibuprofen for weeks. Well I got a second opinion yesterday. I took in the x rays from this place and they said these x rays were crap. This new place took better x rays and it showed that I had a broken tibia this entire time(8weeks). I would have gone for a second opinion sooner had I not been convinced that all I had were soft tissue injuries. So now I'm stuck with a bill from a place that misdiagnosed me and made me think the pain I was in was due to me having a low pain tolerance which now I know I do not have. The staff is friendly but the medical equipment sucks and apparently so do their "radiologists". My new Dr was baffled on how that break was missed. If it's an emergency, I recommend just going to the ER. If it's not then just wait to go see your GP or find another place. read more

I went to this urgent care five days ago (Wednesday) and was prescribed an antibiotic. It was a pretty cursory examination but I'm not sure they could have done much else then give me an antibiotic so that was fine. I then went to Boston on Friday and realized I had forgotten my prescription. I called the urgent care and they told me to have a Boston pharmacy call with a request for a refill. So I had Walgreens contact them to request a refill. It's Monday evening now and the urgent care has never approved it. I talked them twice and they said they were "really busy." They didn't even want to take my name (so they'd recognize the request when it came in). I gave it to them anyway and they hung up immediately - clearly had taken no note of it. They were not so interested in helping a patient. read more

But what does miff me, is that you sent an initial bill right away, which I held until my insurance summary arrived two days later. It's been a whopping 6 days since I received your bill. In that time, I have been contacted 7 times in various formats demanding money including a second billed copy. I'm not dodging you, no one is avoiding payment, it hasn't even been a week. Why in heck are you harassing people to that extent for money, especially over as small amount as it is, which for the record y'all, was less than $50. Tbh, your staff is friendly, but this level of billing harassment is just overkill. If I'd been delayed for a month or two, sure, reach out. But a week? For serious? read more

I have never written a yelp review before. I hate to do this because I know the office was overwhelmed with the number of (often rude) patients and technology issues. However, this was the worst medical office experience I've ever had. I got there at 3:45 and had already filled out an online registration for a covid PCR test. I had a slight fever and a sore throat and had been exposed to a positive case. I waited an hour outside before moving inside. Many people were waiting outside and the front desk lady or urgent care physicians would come out to call people's names. I heard in the waiting room that another guy had waited 3 hours! That's when I started to wish I had brought a phone charger or a book. At around 5 the front desk lady called me up to fill out the office registration saying my online PCR registration was wrong. I filled out the right one and clarified with her that it was complete, thinking I was coming up soon. Wrong. It seemed like they were not solid with the method they were using to keep track of who was first in line. People who came in much later after others got called before people who had been waiting. The front desk said it was because the patients filled in the wrong registration form. Instead of online, it needed to be a survey that the front lady texted you. I won't name the front desk lady because people were treating her awfully, but I watched her straight up lie to people!! They would come in to check on the progress of the names and she would say they tried to call their names and with no answer they had to move on. I didn't have a book or a phone so I listened to EVERYTHING and they did NOT call these people. I did not want to be another rude pushy patient so I continued waiting past the 3-hour mark (how I wish I had advocated for myself earlier). It was so hard to tell if people came after you because some people had been waiting outside. Finally, I go up to the desk to check what was going on with my status and the lady tells me they tried calling me several times. Straight-up lies!! I had the closest seat to her desk and I told her very nicely I'd been waiting there for 3 hours since she called me up to fill out the registration and no one called my name! The actual covid test took about 5 seconds and the physician was lovely and apologized for the wait. If you can get past the management the actual medical visit was fine. I will never go back to this urgent care though. I sobbed on the way home, probably from being hangry but also because that lady made me feel awful! I was trying to be so kind because people were being so rude to her or constantly interrupting her, but I wish I had just been kinder to myself and spoken up sooner. It ended up being almost 4 hours- I was out a little after 7:00PM when I got there at 3:45!!! They had called almost a full list of people who signed in after me. It was a horrible experience I hope someone reads this and chooses a different spot. read more

I took my 4 year old hear to get a Covid-19 test. The lady with glasses working the front desk that checked us in was nice and helpful. Then a middle aged woman (possibly a nurse) led us back to the exam room. I explained to her that my daughter had a 102 degree fever and was feeling sick for the past two days. I informed her that I gave her children's Tylenol earlier that day and re-checked her temperature about two hours ago and it was reduced to 101. She then proceeded to check my daughters temperature and said it was normal and suggested that getting her tested was unnecessary. I insisted that she be tested and the middle aged woman rolled her eyes at us and left the room. A younger woman then entered the room after some time and administered the test. The younger woman was courteous. Upon checking out we were informed that the online portal to check results was down that day and we could not be entered into the system and did not have the ability to check for results online and results would take 3 to 5 days. Therefore are only options were to either call in or physically come back to the location (and increase the risk of being exposed or exposing others to the virus). It was incredibly irresponsible for the health care professional to discourage getting my daughter tested and she is potentially contributing to the spread of the virus if she is giving this advice to others. We called several times yesterday to attempt to get our results. I had to call about 30 times most of the time the line was busy or I got to a message which stated I couldn't leave a voice mail. I got through 3 times and each time the employee who answered the phone had a rude tone (possibly the same middle aged nurse that we previously discouraged us from getting the test). Each time she rudely stated that I needed get our results online rather than calling the location and each time I had to explain that we could not check our results online because the system was down at the time of the test. Each time I was transferred to another woman who was polite and helpful (possibly the woman with the glasses at the front desk) but unfortunately out results were not available. We have called over 50 times today and each time the line is busy or no one answers. We even tried to call the CareFirst Beechmont location but they stated that they were unable to check results from the Hyde Park location. So at this point I'm not sure whether my daughter's results are available. One of the worst health care experiences I have ever had. read more

Very disappointed. They are in network for United Healthcare yet they refuse to run insurance for the Covid tests (UHC pays 100%). Unfortunately, you have to have a "superbill" in order to submit a claim with insurance. The superbill has all the information that UHC needs to process the claim (procedure codes, diagnosis codes, tax ID, etc.) Carefirst will not give this information. So if you think you will be reimbursed by your insurance company for this, guess again. read more

This was a terrible experience. Although this appears to be a new facility and it's in Hyde Park, the inside is not well kept. It is dark and small with thin walls (I could hear everything the doctor said in the other room). The samples they took were not labeled and there were no instructions given. Staff seemed annoyed when I asked a question about how to acquire the sample. The provider diagnosed me without listening to more than one of my symptoms and then prescribed me with a medication that made me sick without even getting test results back (the results would tell whether I had the diagnosis that warranted the medication). I had to call them three days in a row to get my test results (which were not sanitarily acquired). When they finally came in, the receptionist gave me the results. When I asked to speak to someone due to questions about the results (which did not fit her diagnosis and medication), the provider refused to speak to me over the phone and said that I would have to come in for another appointment to discuss these results. I will never go back to any of this company's branches. read more

Came in on 10/20 and I was the only patient in the Urgent Care. The front desk lady checked me in and then the friendly X-Ray Tech took me to the Exam room. I waited under 5 minutes to be seen by the PA-C. She was friendly, but not overly friendly. The X-Ray Tech was more friendlier than the PA-C. read more

I went to the Hyde Park location for COVID testing. They told me that in 4-5 days someone would call me. After 6 days and not hearing, I called the location. No one answered and they shut their voicemail off so I could not leave a message. After one week with no phone call I decided to go in to ask if my results were back. I was immediately given attitude and told if my results were back that someone would have called me. She looked me up in the system and then tried to tell me I was called that morning. I looked in my call log to prove that I was never called. Then she hands me my positive COVID result. To top it all off, the woman then tried to shame me for being out and about. I would never recommend this urgent care to anyone. The report showed they had my result days prior. No phone call. I have spent probably close to 2 hours in the facility in wait time over the two instances I was there and never heard the phone ring. Being a nurse myself, this was a very poor experience, and the way I was treated as a patient is terrible. 0/10. read more
