We have been seeing Dr Robert Jones for the past several years. He is well educated, compassionate…read moreand kind. He is an excellent primary care physician. I love the way he listens and addresses our questions. His bio says: Robert Jones, MD, a board-certified Family Medicine physician, offers comprehensive care, that also addresses the psychosocial needs of his patients, paired with kindness and compassion. Dr. Jones, a former high school science teacher, educates his patients on the nature of their illness, treatment options and specialist care backed by clinical studies and research. He includes patients as part of a shared decision-making process.Dr. Jones received his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Barbados and completed his residency at his undergraduate alma mater, Stony Brook University, in Stony Brook, New York

I can't speak to the entire group because there are some great doctors there. However, this review…read moreis about ONE particular provider in the group, Vikram Rao, whom I had entrusted with my medical care since February 2020. Last week I discovered how unethical he is and I would not allow him to treat my dog! Do not become a patient of Vikram Rao. If you value your health and wellbeing, I suggest that you not become a patient of this doctor at Northeast Medical Group, 4A Devine St in North Haven Ct. I trusted him as my primary physician for almost 4 years now, only to recently discover that he does not document all of the medical visits or treatments that he provides. Last week I needed documented medical information from my records to take to a specialist, only to find out that he had not documented anything about my condition yet had been prescribing medication to me for this condition for well over a year. I am devastated, not knowing what to do about the information I need for the specialist. I now have to find a new PCP for treatment of this condition and begin this horrendous process all over again. What Vikram Rao did (I refuse to refer to him as a doctor) is unconscionable and he needs to be held accountable for his actions. I was advised to report this to the Department of Public Health Provider Licensing Investigation Unit and I fully intend to do so. Since he works for Northeast Medical Group, which is a part of Yale New Haven Health, I was also advised to make his superiors aware of this matter. He took an oath to "do no harm", yet that is exactly what he has done to me. There are reviews from other patients about his care on the Healthgrade website, I wish I had seen them sooner. I would never have entrusted my care to this person. The moral of my story is to check, verify, and recheck again. Ask for recommendations from people you trust and by all means verify that treatments being performed and prescribed medications to you from any doctor are documented in your medical records because trying to get a provider to own up to what they did not document can take months, during which time you do not have the information to take to another doctor for treatment. Be extremely cautious and watchful of your medical records. If something is missing or incorrect, it could be the difference between life and death, yours.

I had an issue that needed to be looked at , not virtually but in person. Two attendants sat there…read more with no questioning as to the issue and I waited 45 minutes . I'm then told that it is a virtual visit. Wasted time . If I needed Virtual assistance I would have stayed home and done that from my couch. I had an issue that needed to be worked on not just talked about. I went to New Haven Yale Urgent care and saw an actual person who assessed my issue. If the two attendants would have done their job and said more than nothing , I could have explained and not wasted all our time. Perhapse that are trained to wait until you get to the room to tell you you have no actual visit but just a facetime doctor . Bad idea .

Should have looked at reviews before ever booking here. Made an appt. For myself, my child ended up…read moresick so I called THE OFFICE and asked if we could do it as a telehealth. The worker from THE OFFICE who answered the phone is the one who changed my visit to a telehealth appt. Said it was absolutely fine bc I had been there before and it was just for a sinus infection. My appt time comes and goes, no call nothing. So I call. They rudely tell me that it can't be a telehealth visit even though the WORKER FROM THEIR OFFICE is the one who changed my appt. They put me on hold for kid you not 20 minutes. I have to call back multiple times just to get someone to answer to have the PA SHEREE RASCATI to have a huge attitude with me because her staff is incompetent. She argued with me and told me I can bring my sick child who's throwing up into the office if I want to be seen for myself. It has now been over a half hour past my appt. Time and I asked was anyone even going to call me if I didn't call and the answer was aparently not. Terrible. Called another urgent care right after and they have no problem with a telehealth visit for a sinus infection and got me an appt within 30 mins from when I called.

I asked to see a doctor, and you were asked if you had an appointment or were a walk-in. 4. After clarifying that you were a walk-in, communication ceased. 5. No check-in process or further information was requested from you--no insurance, no forms. 6. I waited silently, then asked again how long it would take. I was told there was one nurse on call, but no estimated time was provided. 7. After waiting approximately 30 more minutes without engagement, I left. I went here for years. When the dispensary opened I noticed they were focusing on making cash . As…read moretime went on Dr Sam's was there less and less and I was often misdiagnosed migrated and generally misled by the NPs, Dr Sama eventually agreed to be my primary care and that I could ask for him as 8 often felt stigmatized or afraid and would be told that others had been wrong or find it later that taking a certain supplement for a deficiency I was misled to believe I had was won't because I ended up with high levels of iron. I read offered B12 shots when I know I always had enough b as it read in the high yet acceptable area. When I had Coco's and was given the antivirals which relief in a rebound I was given apcr test and told I never had Coco's because I had no antibodies which Dr Sam's said was not a correct diagnosis and was clearly an aisle and judgement of my character. This Dr has no control over his practices and is only available on office two days a week in different locations that are difficult to get to during crisis. Being lied to our doubted and denied treatment for Coco's when my aging father had it as well. I needed help many times I got documentation of my long COVID yet couldn't get documentation from my therapist with Dr Sam's knew of my mental health issues. Much of the time I took medicine I was provided just out of desperation in a couple situations they were ones I realized could Jill me with the meds I was on. Recently I was overdosed on a much stronger need in the same class. When I looked up the dosage or was clear that this was a very dangerous mistake no MD should make especially knowing of been out of my other meds which is never had issues with and that I was reluctant as if felt that the drug he was giving me was a pretty high dose. I trusted him and then was not myself for days and believe I have been having committed mood swings and side effects. The Dr waited days to tell his NP he was playing telephone with to go to the er because he said he's set me up with my old meds and have me a three day supply while he knew I was already having a housing and mental health crisis which he did nothing but as insult to injury. After prescribing drugs that affect me adversely and increase the despair and goldenness I went to him to. I told him if all the issues and bad referrals he and other providers that didn't work out had given me I even had one every me as a patient then start to insist o hasn't sent in paperwork and make up that I was on two meds or was like drug seeking because my MD kept giving me a med that want helping at all. This business is not practicing ethical treatment they need to be reported and maybe of I can keep it together I will. He has caused pharmacies and other prescriptions to look at my prescriptions and decide on drug seeking probably because it's never constant and I have been allowed actual treatment or the benefit of a doubt. The surgeon general's here needs to fix things. The lack of defect cars is timing my life. And my shirt to help my father or deal with his symptomatic outbreaks because mine are just wise than ever.
