It has truly allowed my father to regain some of the normalcy that he had prior to developing Alzheimers. I am also eternally great full for the experienced care he has recieved. My father was a resident of several other assisted living facilities in the area which supposedly specialized in Alzheimers care. However, that basically meant most of the residents took prescriptions to calm them down. Once my father came to Mt. Carmel, his medication was drastically reduced and he was able to participate in group activities and socialize with other residents and staff. I always recommend Mt. Carmel to anyone with an aging loved one suffering from Alzheimers. They are simply the best!

I am very sorry that…read morehe and his family member are in the situation they are as am I with my Dad, however this is the second home my dad has been in and even though the first place was more modern and had very nice staff and was only minutes from my home, it doesn't come close to the quality of care and understanding the staff and management at Mt. Carmel have for their extended family. The first thing that attracted me was the comfy homey feel and the way the residents were able to walk around without restriction, but also had resting places as needed,nice outdoor areas which all means alot to Alzheimers/Dementia suffers and most of all many of the staff members have been there for more than 15 years witch means alot to me and my family. I visit often and bring my grandchildren and have never been disappointed except for some missing eye glasses or socks but this to should be expected at this point in our loved ones life. We are the ones who now have to adjust,understand and just love them as they have loved us in the past......May GOD BLESS all who walk through this time in our lives with us and for us and those who don't understand yet.!

When we moved my Mom to Ashley Glen 3 1/2 years ago we were looking for a "home" (not just a place…read moreto live) where she would be safe, loved and part of a family. I visited several other facilities that had assisted living and memory care since she would need both. None of the other facilities provided both types of care + the loving, family atmosphere of Ashley Glen. One of the top reasons for choosing AG was their long time employees - - many of the staff have been there for 20+ years, which was unheard of in any of the other facilities. My Mom has thrived at AG and I can attest to the fact that the residents are treated like family. The facility is like a comfy home - clean, well decorated, nice touches of home, good meals, etc. The activities for both sides (assisted living and memory care) are very good. The outdoor areas are beautiful and well-maintained (my Mom loves spending time outdoors and enjoys watching the birds, flowers, trees, etc.) I visit my Mom most every day so I get to see what is going on very regularly. Any questions or concerns are addressed quickly and efficiently. I would highly recommend checking out Ashley Glen when you have a loved one who needs assisted living or memory care, it is such a wonderful facility! Our family feels blessed that Mom is living at Ashley Glen, it has been a beautiful experience.

I cannot say enough great things about Ashley Glen. Their staff is made up of highly trained, well managed professionals who cared for my father around the clock. Their expertise, care and passion for what they do made this the best possible experience under the circumstances for my father and family.
