If you cannot be a perfect person, avoid the Cargair at CYHU.
First, chief instructor, she does not have good problem-solving skills, I found she did not show an enthusiastic attitude. She avoids helping their students when they have a problem or make mistakes. she does care only her time. She does not care about students if you do make a mistake or bothering her time, she will yelling you or talk to herself and make a conclusion herself before talking with you. She does not even understand why I wanted to talk with her by her lack of attending to find a solution, she will show you negative behaviour before listen to you, and avoid your problem, not be there to teach you. Instead of the show you how to be a good pilot, she will be insulting you and yell you. Second, I am sure she is also employed in the school, I do not know how they can keep this business if they do not have Chinese airlines students or other people outside of Canada. I wanted to talk to someone from the school to have the problem solved, but I found no one. It seems she is in charge of everything. People started to avoid this school, the reason they found they are very arrogant, rude, callous, overcritical impolite, cruel and inconsiderate. Finally, they will quick you out without any notice or any professional conversation and educational coach. They will treat you as a child, and react very emotional.
I suggest find a better school who welcome you and respect you as a human being and less busy to fast track or uncontrolled aerodrome, so you will not waste your money on the taxiway long line up to take off and land, also ATC will deny your circuit training all the time. You also have to pay a landing fee, it looks small amount per time, but it is a big amount end of the training. It isn't cheaper than you think. Your first solo will be after 6 months minimum or 1 year with lots of dual hours which means you have to pay extra for make school rich. You have to wait for many weeks to take every step of tests, and then finally they will quick you out after you made mistakes. When you try to find another school after, you will lose another bunch of money to many things you have to change and recheck of your flight. As a pilot shortage, every school hire many instructors or regional or small companies will try to hire you as soon as possible. In my opinion, do not need to waste money and time waiting for all the long processes in a busy airport or school. Many of my friends who were this school, they are considering and already have been changed school the reasons were the same as mine or others. Find a school that treats you as a human being, respect you as a human being and show you loyal as customers. I would never recommend this school for all the people around me. why do you want to pay over 60k for unprofessional and unorganized school? treat your money better otherwise you will pay a lot of interest for a long time after school has done.
In conclusion, This school will not stay next to you when you are not perfect; especially, they will quick you out suddenly. just like 5 seconds, it will change your life. They do not care about your dream or your future. They only do care about their name and money. You will have to feel garbage and a waste of money and time. It happens to many students; do not think you will not be the one. Do not take a risk for your career. Even if you have a explain to do they will not listen to you because they think you are a liar. I would give a cheer up to instructors that I met at the school. They are friendly, polite and professional. However, they are not able to help you with this issue, because they are also employed by the school who want to out of this unorganized company fast after their hours has built.
