I ordered flowers for my 90 year old Mother for Mother's Day 2020 As I was not able to travel due to Covid restrictions. I contacted Carl's I was impressed with the flowers and that they delivered on time As I am from out of town I chose to pay by email transfer very convenient My only complaint is when I called to ensure the payment extra went threw okay I was met with someone who was a bit snippy and seems impatient and in a hurry Yes I realize that Mother's Day at the best of times is busy never mind adding a pandemic on top of that but still Customers do not deserve being on the receiving end of a snippy hurried staff member. As we are choosing to us your business That would be my only concern Price is fair flowers are beautiful and the where delivered I will use Carl's again but please try to be kinder to your customers read more

Yikes. I originally left a great review because I had spoken with an employee to change the delivery date and they were absolutely excellent over the phone. I've bought flowers from them before and they arrived as pictured on the website. I've never had an issue. Until today, when my mum sent a picture of the flowers she recieved, they were nothing like the picture on the website. I thought I was sending a big beautiful bouquet in a big beautiful vase, and even opted to spend a bit more to add extra flowers so she'd get a SUPER big beautiful bouquet in a big beautiful vase, for her birthday because she's my mum and I love her and I can't be there to bring her flowers in person right now. The flowers that she actually got were a quarter of the size and not at all the same flowers or in the same vase. When I contacted the store to figure out what happened and try to rectify the situation, the manager flat out refused to do anything for me. In fact this is word for word the response that I received: Thank you for contacting us. Following is the description from our website of the arrangement-- A wondrous arrangement bursting with shades of orange and pink - the perfect gift for any occasion- all displayed beautifully in an orange water vase with complimenting ribbon. The arrangement was definitely to value - the photo on line is one possible arrangement that could be made to conform to the written description. The colors and design are similar to the photo. We used beautiful, fresh flowers which we had available. And the order was definitely to value. And I checked with the delivery person and your mother was very pleased to receive it. So in summary - I believe we have satisfied all requirements of the order and we will not be replacing it or providing a refund. I could see her point if my mum's flowers at all matched the description or were even close to the website photo. But they most definitely DID NOT and WE'RE NOT. If I could give this place a minus I would. This is the second time that my son ordered flowers to be delivered and they were horrible. Half dead. Major problems here in Penticton Carl's. I was expecting to receive flowers last Saturday from my Besty. When they didn't arrive I called the next day to find out what happened. Long story short, I made daily contact either by phone or by visit to their shop and was given all manner of BS excuses, often 2 different excuses on the same day. While in their shop I could see that the glass fronted cold room where the flowers are stored was empty except for a container with a little greenery. It's Wednesday now, I spoke with them this morning, a half an hour ago, and was told they are delivering them this morning. Wow, they arrived, with more excuses. Absolutely terrible!! I made an order online a week ago, for flowers to be delivered to my mother. After I called them on the day of the delivery, to make sure the flowers were going to be there, the lady on the phone had no idea if they were going to be delivered that day. Later on in the evening 6pm, they called my mother to tell her the flowers would be there in an hour, great right......nope, this so called best flower shop, called again at 945pm, and told my mother the flowers would be there at 1030pm! Want to terrify an old lady? Bang on the door at 1030 at night My mother told the lady on the phone at 945 that it would have to wait until the morning. The next day, after hearing this debacle about this well below average service, and my mother not getting her flowers, even before mothers day! I phoned and cancel the delivery, the owner who I got on the phone, not only did she not seem to care, nor refunded my credit card, she continued to mock me over the phone, telling me how busy she was, and how I'll get my credit when she has time, so I'm kissing the 100$ goodbye Never ever will I even think about going anywhere near this terrible place, save your money, awful service from top to bottom. Delivered on time, but not what I ordered at all. I'm not sure if they just didn't have what I ordered, but it would have been nice to have been notified so I could change my order. Or the pictures on the website are misleading. I'm giving two stars for the fact that they were delivered on time. read more

The worst customer service! I ordered a bright spring bouquet to go to a friend who was feeling down and I wanted to brighten her day. She sent me a photo of the flowers and while they were nice they were nothing like what I asked for. When I phoned to determine why they didn't send what I asked for, they offered to send a fresh spring bouquet. I thought that was great....but after several promises and several phone calls they have never delivered. Having my friend on stand by to receive the flowers has become a running joke....as they have never arrived and I doubt ever will. I would never suggest ordering from here! read more

This place is awful. I ordered a fruit basket for my in-laws for Christmas. I had to phone them three times on the day of the delivery asking for a picture of the basket before it was delivered. The first call (at 9 am) they couldn't give me an update and would call me back. Never did. The second call they were making the basket. No picture provided when done. It took them 8 hours before I called the third time asking where my picture is and whether the basket was was going out that day for them to reply with "it's on the truck ready to go. We will send you a pic later today". Flowers being delivered in the evening is weird to me and I still don't have a picture of this $90 basket (it's now 5 pm). Never had an experience like this before with a florist, so I won't be going back. read more

At first I was excited about working with the manager, Sharon, for my wedding day flowers. But more calls proved she is very disorganized. Upon pick up of half the order the day before wedding the pink roses were mostly brown and wilted so I went back to complain. Turns out my bouquet, corsages, boutaniers, etc were the wrong colors. She had known since Wednesday but had no plans of telling me. She was going to let me pick up on wedding day and feel stuck with having to take them. I asked her if she was ok with herself doing business like this and she said after thinking about it no. I ended up having to buy roses from safeway in white and build my own bouquet and centerpieces. I would NOT recommend them and will never take my business there again. She was ready to ruin my wedding morning with this news. Getting my money back was a total fight and I'm disgusted there are humans out there like her who can sleep at night or even keep a job. read more

I was very disappointed with the service at Carl's flowers, one of my best friends mother passed away, I wanted to send flowers to her as I was unable to attend the service on the coast. I pain stakenly went through their web site and found two arrangements, pure pleasures and purple pleasures, I .iked the low profile of the purple pleasure arrangement but wanted it in the pure pleasure co.ors, soft champagne, peach and a little white. I called directly and spoke with the lady on the phone, I was very explicit in what I wanted. She-even confirmed that I wanted the low profile with Champaign soft colours. I paid for the flowers with delivery and was told hey would go out the next day. Apperantly they don't deliver to my friends area? Instead of calling me and asking how I wanted to handle this they called my friend said that there was an arrangement for pick up that they were to deliver te flowers but she was out of their delivery area, who picks up thief own sympathy flowers! she said her husband could pick them up on his way home. They called her a second time and asked if he could not pick them up until the following day late in the day as they were waiting for their flower delivery. When I called them to ask if the flowers were delivered a few days later I was informed of all what had happened! I stated that they should have contacted me with the changes not my friend, I could have called her husband, on top of that they had already charged me the delivery fee, so they took it upon themselves to just add a couple more flowers to make up the difference. As I have purchased flowers for friends before and have not been very impressed, I asked the lady on the phone yo send me a picture of the arrangement. It was very nice, but not at all what I ordered. It was all white round and tall, no champagne flowers or any other colour, they stuffed large hydrangeas in it, when I called back and asked what happened to the arrangement I had ordered they said, it was a lot larger with more flowers in it. It would be very nice when you spend a lot of time scoping out all the arrangements on someone's web site and they desire what they want to make anyway. Very disappointed! read more
