While not inexpensive, it was worth every penny to know the paperwork was being done correctly and USCIS wasn't going to come back with a million questions or deny the application. Every case is different and my mom's situation wasn't incredibly complex, but it took half the time we estimated. Bottom line - applying for a green card isn't an easy process, even if you're a native English speaker. There are tons of forms to fill out and documents to provide. We were able to start fresh with a different lawyer who confirmed this "law firm" is a scam and hadn't done anything after 4 years to work toward my mom's case. The only thing that they did was send my mom to USCIS to get her fingerprints done, but even that didn't have anything to do with the case. Our current lawyer confirmed there was no case ever opened for my mother. I only paid them $5,000 before realizing this was fraud. They will threaten you for non-payment, but please know they will not take action because this is a scam and they don't actually do anything for you. I hope you all get your karma!
