Het Huis Utrecht is een culturele onderneming die een belangrijk deel van de inkomsten werft door verhuur van ruimtes van het pand aan de Boorstraat - een tot theater omgebouwd schoolgebouw in een zijstraat van de Amsterdamsestraatweg -, maar ook door verhuur van expertise van medewerkers. Het Huis Utrecht ontplooit zelf ook culturele activiteiten en gaat relaties aan met de creatieve industrie, het bedrijfsleven en de buurt. Zo is de organisatie de culturele gesprekspartner voor het eerste gedeelte van de Amsterdamsestraatweg, Vanuit die rol ontwikkelde Het Huis een aantal initiatieven zoals het project 'Hotspot ASW', waarin kunstenaars wordt gevraagd om werk te ontwikkelen vanuit en met de omgeving en bewoners.

Really a great setting. They have any kind of drinks but go for the home brewed beer... light, fresh and very very yummy. The ambiance is quite homey and there is also a big fireplace. Find a spot, open your computer, and start to work! But here everyone is open to meet others for networking, so grab a cup of coffee or a tea (available for free) and head to the terrace chatting with others. Most attendants are young start-uppers. If you want to have lunch it's enough to add your name to the board and participate to the abundant buffet while keeping to network with others. There are also several rooms of different size that can be rented to hold a large meeting or a one-to-one conversation, or to interview applicants if you don't have an office to invite them at. I am sure to stop here at least once everytime I am in The Netherlands!
