So, I ordered the cider. When the waiter brought it over, I noticed something on the inside of the glass, but when I looked up to tell him about it, he had already gone. I waited for him to come back, which took five minutes and I did not receive an apology, which I was not hung up about but it is still good customer service to do so. Once he returned and I tried the cider, I found it quite sour and not to my taste. The wines had descriptions so I felt one for the ciders and ales would have done very well. As for food, their offerings were mainly cheese and charcuterie dishes. I was looking for something more substantial, but it would have been rude not to order anything so I ordered the bread board, which is merely bread and olive oil. It was perfectly fine. The service was not anything to be impressed by. The waiter was not friendly at all. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very touristy, at least to me. Perhaps this is due to its location on the river, where students and companies are trying to get the tourists to go on a punting tours. Overall, unsatisfactory. Will not be going back.

I booked Caffe Sicilia for my 9-year old's BD pizza last Sat. We arrived nearly half an hour late…read morebecause the movie at the Light had overrun, but were greeted warmly and shown to our table. The pizzas were all amazing, we had a selection including Margarita, Siciliana, Parmigiana, Vesuvio and Pepperoni (a favourite with the kids) - they finished every last crumble. We also had Insalata verde (green salad), which was crisp, fresh and nicely dressed. The house red has bold Sicilian notes, exactly as it should do. Overall fantastic, welcoming and fast service, great atmosphere and food! Not sure the other customers appreciated 15 kids next to them on a Sat night, but hey, we tried to be on our best behaviour. (I don't like chain restaurants as the food tends to be bland and devoid of character, hence this choice.) The kids gave it five stars as well. Highly recommended! Btw the coffee's good, too (not to mention one can practice one's Italian ;)))))))
