I was staying at the Marriott in London and Carluccio's was the restaurant on site. I had dinner here. I ordered fish and chips. The service was friendly and attentive. The dining area was a bit empty when I was there. The food was hot and very good. The menu wasn't anything special but it served its purpose. The ambiance was somewhat quiet.

3.5 stars. Sure it's in a hotel. Sure, it's a chain, but the staff w ere excellent, prices were good, and food was good. I really enjoyed the mushroom soup and the antipasti board. Even the portion for one was enough for two! The portion sizes were really good as well.

Located inside the Marriott hotel near the London's Heathrow airport! Very cute arrangement, nice web site which is why I decided to eat there during my stay at the hotel. While convenient, Carluccio's is not worth the price although that might be a London thing. More specifically food was bland and absolutely not good at all, with the exception of dessert. First of all garlic bread is an appetizer and is not free. If you are American-take notice. Water served is a tap water which is European standard. Mushroom soup was ok but it lacked a punch. Not a bad start though. Fish fillets with potatoes were straight out not good. Overcooked, bland and just nothing to brag about, I cannot believe dish was called Salmon Supreme. The only Supreme thing about it was the price sticker! Chicken Saltimbocca was another disappointment. Another bland taste, with supposedly addition of prosciutto which you cannot taste. To save the day-I ordered meatballs which are kid sized but tasty. Torta Al Mandarino was the highlight of dinner and I would recommend it. In fact if this is the only thing I ordered this would be a 4 or a 5 star review.

    Tasty Carbonara!

Service was poor and food was not the greatest. I am more annoyed about the lack of service...do not care type attitude.

Da Remo is known as a favorite haunt of some famous British actors including Sean Connery. The restaurant is a small Italian restaurant near Uxbridge, and is quite the find, particularly for an out of towner. Da Remo should certainly pride itself on the service it provides its guests. We had wonderful service - timely, without oppressing us with constant presence. For a large group that just showed up and surprised them, they handled us nicely and didn't have any problem serving the group and keeping up with our needs. When we had questions, they were good about explaining different menu items and helping us determine what we wanted to order. I had 3 courses with my meal - antipasti, the main course, and dessert. Everything I had was fantastic. The cannoli I ordered was incredibly good - the best I've ever had. My main course was a variant on chicken cordon bleu, and was perfectly prepared and full of flavor. I finished with the cheesecake (not NY style), which made a nice finish to the evening. I had the house red wine with my dinner and was quite pleased - it had a nice bouquet and finish, and paired well with my meal. Everything was perfect, which is difficult to pull off with a large group.
