The car was rejected by me as not as described and, to get my money returned, I had to make numerous phone calls and send 9 emails which were ignored. With the help of the Scottish Court Service, Dunfermline, case number SA102/15 the DODGY DEALER paid the money direct into my account on 10 April 2015. I suggest that you do not pass any money to this dealer until you are 100% satisfied that you will get what you expect from them.

Well I have called them and said I will cover labour and they will cover part cost. They have agreed as it would be of benefit to me not driving 150miles and for them no to pay for labour or time.... So I got this part replaced. While replacing this part I have noticed that one of the injectors is slightly leaking. So I phoned them again saying I want to come down to get this fix as it could cost too much and I don't want to pay for labour etc... And guess what they have said? NO!!! And reason was that someone else was looking at the car!?!? After they have agreed to it? They have no T&C for Warranty, it is only written on the invoice "One month parts & labour warranty"! Still waiting for a cheque for first broken part! Big disappointment and will not be using again.

Car documentation was offered voluntarily - everything, including the HPI check which was already done on the vehicle. Prices were really fair - we could not have found our car at a better price. We dealt with Keith McLean himself and we had none of the innane small-talk the larger car dealerships seem to inflict upon the poor prey - sorry, customer. Being totally daunted by the used car market and not knowing where to start, I was lucky to be introduced to Ross and Andrew at George MacKay in Colinton Road. They had exactly what I was looking for and went above and beyond in their customer service with follow up calls to make sure I was happy with my purchase, all very reassuring. Had it for about two months and only drive 800 miles and it was using coolant during this time, not a lot to begin with, but it gradually got worse. I suspected the head gasket was compromised because there was off white blobs of gunk on the dipstick. I phoned them to ask them to take a look which I'm entitled to do under the Sale of Goods act. They got snotty with me but let me drop the car off. They did at least provide me with a loan car during the week or so they had it in the garage. Got the car back and they claimed there was nothing wrong with it. When I picked it up they pretty much refused to speak to me about it. Also it looks like my car had been left out in the street next to a building site nearby for a few nights because it was covered in a thick coating of dust. Took the car home, the coolant loss got worse so I took it to a local garage in Perth (Harbour Garage - excellent service by the way) and they confirmed the head gasket was indeed faulty. Ended up having to replace at my own cost. I have the head gasket but was so fed up with the experience I never got around to sending them a photographm wish I had now. So a word of warning... watch yourselves with these guys, they play the very nice sales people but don't want to know if you find the car has a fault shortly after you buy it.
