My aunt looked very good at her home going. Carnes had a beautiful gown and head dress with a bling brooch on it. I was very impressed with how well my aunt Erna Lea looked. The service and staff were amazing. My relatives have always used Carnes for service but this was the first time I've come here. Ten stars.

Carnes Funeral Home was responsible for the care of my Mom after her passing. My Mom had originally taken all the steps to donate her body to Baylor Univeristy for medical education but unfortunately did not meet the criteria at the end. Carnes was the contact for Baylor which is how I was introduced to Carnes. Even though Baylor was out I stayed with Carnes because of the compassion and sincerity Tina exhibited over the phone. Risky but I had a good feeling. And it was a good decision. Tina and I handled all the details over the phone since I was out of State. She worked with the amazing Hospice team and nursing home finalizing care and transportation. I was kept in the loop at all times and had access to Tina as needed. Tina was professional, understanding, responsive and handled the care of my Mom with personal attention. She was amazing easing my stress. One thing I should mention is they are located in Texas City, Texas which is just over an hour from Rosenberg. This is where I had to pick up my Mom's remains or they could have shipped. Yes, it was quite a drive, only because of construction, but I do not regret the distance for the superb service I received. Tina, and Carnes Funeral Home, showed true compassion, professionalism and lessened the enormous stress I was under being out of State while providing exceptional service. Thank you for all you did and your generous and kind heart. It will not be forgotten!!

My mother had some health issues, so to prepare and have everything in order, I went to the cemetery office roughly 4 years before she passed to set everything up. She knew for sure she wanted to be with her brother for her final resting place. Making the appointment was easy, picking the land was easy, the office staff were all very helpful and informative. I have had zero issues with them. We bought her maker/headstone and they placed that down for us. My mother joined her brother in early 2021. We let the cemetery know and the plans went as smooth as we could have hoped. I could not have imagined having to deal with any paperwork during that time, I am glad we were able to have everything done way beforehand. The grounds are always maintained and clean. There was a storm that came through last year and lighting struck a tree, causing damage to quite a few markers. For the most part, that seems to have been taken care of already. After reading the other reviews, I can't say Ive had the same experience. The marker was placed in a timely fashion, the office staff was always ready to answer any question, one review states "the staff will steal things right off of graves." I am always visiting my mom, I highly doubt that is really happening. They are VERY clear on what can and can't be displayed. Not following the very clear rules, doesn't mean anyone is stealing items.

They can take a few minutes out of their day when they mow over the grave over the headstones and put the flowers back on the baby's Graves. You go out there now and the grass is entirely dead where the babies are buried. It's called The garden of Innocence. They don't even water the grass. I paid a lot of money for my daughter's hand-painted ceramic picture for her headstone. Very early on when she died the lawn mower went over and put a huge deep scratch through the middle and they don't care. They're like too bad too sad what do you want from us? I would like you to perhaps water the grass at least and put the babies flowers back on their graves!!! Have some dignity & some compassion for these parents. I have 2 daughters buried in the garden of Innocence. The area is very small so please don't make a reply and say the area is just so huge there's no way it would take hours to put the flowers back because that's b*******.. I know it's asking for too much to them think about the people there as opposed to just making the money.

I stopped by as I usually do around Christmas to pay respects to most of my family buried here. I was presently surprised to find two wreaths on my veteran uncle's headstones. Probably, the VFW did this, but thanks to Galveston Memorial for allowing this to happen, and having/ keeping a well manicured park. I'm gonna hold off on selling the plot, and relocating.
