    Torta no meat

Ordered two carne asada tortas for takeout, when I got home I saw that the tortas HAD NO CARNE ASADA and were just the bread and the vegetables.

This is a review for the restaurant, not the store. I went here for the first time. I passed by this place many times but the building didn't look so inviting (to me). But let me tell you I liked the experience. They serve chips and salsa first, like any other Mexican restaurants but the salsa was not the typical one. It was green one and a red sauce and they were both very spicy. I saw something similar in a restaurant in Mexico City before, so it felt more authentic. they have GOOD tacos! I tried the asada tacos and they came with a lot of cilantro, onions and limes (just how I like it) and they were so delicioso! I was sad to see that some things like barbacoa were weekend-only. So I need to go back on a weekend. Service was very attentive and friendly.

In the back of the grocery store, passed the butcher shop their is large restaurant and full bar - with the nicest group of people serving their guest! Everyone we spoke w/was friendly and welcoming, we will be back to dine in but we had been out all day so we took our food to go. I had 3 tacos and a side of rice, totaling about $13 - price was perfect and the food was alright, would love to try other dishes on the menu!

So let me tell ya if you've never tried this place to dine in it's Indy's hidden gem.. the food is plentiful and the service is quick and the atmosphere is authentic Mexican (not as if I would know) but it seems pretty authentic to me! And they're alcoholic drinks are not to be played with.. when you ask for margaritas just know that is what you're going to get not watered down at all! And don't let the grocery store throw you off the restaurant is in back of the store!

First off the grocery store alone is amazing. Wall to wall produce, the longest meat counter I have ever seen and a bakery to die for. The restaurant is very inexpensive. I got a chorizo Torta. It literally had an entire avocado on it. The chorizo was not the best I have ever had so I probably wouldn't get that again. Service was on point. I felt like I was eating at a restaurant on vacation.

First of all, how have I not know about this place and I've been in Indianapolis for over 10 years. Everything was perfect. I was extremely full after eating one taco. I ordered one steak taco one chicken taco and one Al Pastor tacos. The El Pastor taco was so delicious. The meat was so tender and it was marinated and you can taste pineapples. It was really really good. I would've just got all 3 tacos like that I know it's gonna be that good. Great service quick no issues definitely recommend it and I will be going back to try other things on the menu.

I've been to both the Pike Plz Rd and Oliver Avenue locations, but never dined in at the restaurant until this evening. I'm not sure why I've waited, because I've been missing out! My pastor enchiladas rojas were delicious, though I probably should have used the verde sauce to compliment the pork. I also ordered a "side" of rice and beans that could have easily been an entree in themselves because it was massive. Altogether, the meal was $14 and lasted me 2.5 meals. Fantastic value for the money. It helps if you can speak Spanish when ordering at the restaurant or at the meat counter, but staff are always friendly and polite as we work through any language barriers. The grocery store aisles are always organized and well-stocked. Bonus is that every time I come, I can get my favorite tortillas and chips--El Milagro--that I can't seem to find anywhere else.

I love this place! Even if the food wasn't great the ambiance definitely is. Luckily everything I've had has always been good. This time I had the shrimp and Octopus ceviche which I really enjoyed. Plenty of meat and just spicy enough. It's also plenty for a meal. Our server was very helpful and made suggestions. The restaurant is in the back of the grocery store so go buy something you haven't tried before. I always seem to be attracted to the bakery and never leave empty handed. This place really is an experience so go and enjoy.

A friend of mine introduced me to this place of course he's Mexicano. If you want authentic Mexican Food this is a place for you. Burrito is the bomb I couldn't finish it even though it was so good Its a lot for one person. They have The best quality meat so juicy and chewing. The taco is really good too and Overall all the foods are delicious. The best customer service experiences. The waiter keeps on checking on us. You didn't have to ask a thing and that's nice about it. Definitely will be back for the burrito The bathroom situation so the men's bathroom as when you walk in it's on the right side but when you walk towards inside the restaurant the lady restrooms are at the end next to the bar. I thought that was pretty strange. The grocery store and the restaurants are connected. You have to walk at the end past the meat line and then you gonna see the restaurant and when you walk in it's huge.

Awesome, authentic tacos. This place is in a grocery store and it's full service. Today, my son and I were able to walk in and be seated immediately. Our server was very gracious explaining to us our various options. We each ordered: shrimp, beef tongue, AlPastor and Barbacoa. Authentic tacos are served dry (no sauces) they only have cilantro and onions... my favorite of these was the Al Pastor. Pork marinated in pineapple and an aromatic Chile sauce. It's the Latin version of Gyros... The salsa and chips served at the beginning were great and I look forward to visiting this place again.

The dine in area is huge. I think it's a really good place to hang out with the big group. The tortillas corn chip is super nice and crispy, smell like freshly oven baked. The dipping sauces were 2 kinds of chili. The portion is huge. The price is good. I will definitely go back.

You aren't going to find a better Mexican restaurant in Indianapolis than this so if that is what you are looking for, congrats, you are done! This place is in the back of a massive Mexican grocery store, but shouldn't be missed.

Only thing I don't like is sometimes they don't have the electric carts so I try to shop early in the morning so maybe I can get electric cart. So if you ever in the neighborhood of downtown Indianapolis stop by Kroger's on East Michigan Street they have great values great products or you're not shopping just stop by and tell them what a great and wonderful job they're doing. I definitely give this store location of Kroger's five stars and two thumbs up in my review. I don't have any pictures to post and maybe next time I'm shopping there I'll take some pictures and get the names of the employees that are very friendly and edit my post and my review.

I also wanted something sweet and ended up with this chocolate tres leches style cake. Never had anything like this before and it wasn't bad. Not sure if I like all the liquid but I did like the flavor. And it was only 200 calories. If you've never had a cake like this I would definitely recommend trying it. And they had other flavors if chocolate isn't your thing. Would also recommend going to the customer service desk and signing up for a Kroger card so you can get the sale items. Only takes a few minutes to fill out the paper.

So all of the old reviews that mention Marsh don't apply to this newer store, now called Needler's Fresh Market. I don't know -- I think Needler's is pretty good! It has a little bakery on site (Lemon's Bakery Cafe), which has hot food and baked goods, with seating by big windows that overlook Mass Ave. Beyond the cafe, the rest of the joint is a small grocery store. You'll find a modest produce section with fresh-looking greens and fruit and things. They sell house-made hummus and sushi. The wine section is abysmal, but I did find a bottle of one of my cheapie low-key favorite bottles of Malbec here, so I picked that up. The dried ramen section is also better than it needs to be. The prices seem to be about the same as Kroger and other grocery stores. Checkout was quick and there were several registers open. The only thing is that I entered through the cafe and exited by the registers, so I got a little turned around once I exited. Keep in mind that you can only enter/exit through the cafe at certain hours. They lock that door after a particular time. (I think it's 5 or 6 p.m.)
