Everything on the menu is great tasting --from the seafood, to arrachera, to the cheeseburgers. My…read morefavorite dish is the camarones with champinones. The drinks are superb, including the margarita and the michelada gringa. Servers are attentive and the ambiance is wonderful with music in the background and the scenery is full of palm trees. Although this restaurant is pricey relative to the others, I highly recommend it.

Walking along I paused at this storefront, from the sidewalk I tried to make out what I thought I saw at the end of the long hallway. I told my family here, lunch, I have to hop on a Zoom call. My uncle said I had a good eye, great restaurant. We selected a table that was enclosed in its own private little garden. Paused to order a drink, a Chelada for the warm November day. Asked my family to find me something vegetarian from the menu and Zoomed into a brief work meeting. It had been remodeled we were told. Some smooth precious stone lined the floors and walls. They had ordered me a vegetarian plate. Requested nopales and avocado to be included. Pretty sure the cactus was freshly cut...little quesadillas sat atop a bed of salad and a side of rice. The white rice with Julien carrots, thin sliced chile, made with butter, a cup of milk- like the one served by my Great Grandmother also born in Calvillo. The taste of home, made with love.

If I had one word to describe this place it would be fresh. I was a bit skeptical about this place…read morebecause Leon Guanajuato isn't anywhere near the ocean and I'm generally against buying seafood in places that are land locked; however I couldn't be more wrong about this place because their food was not only delicious but fresh. My first time eating Marlin (Marlyn Vinagreta) and I couldn't believe how delicious it was. It's a combination of sweet and flavorful and resembles the type of fish you'd expect to find in a good sushi restaurant. I also had what they call Shrimp a la Korea (Korean style shrimp) and although it didn't taste anything like Korean food, the shrimp were large and the juice/marinade they're served with are finger licking good. They have a habanero vinaigrette/sauce they place on the table and my mouth still waters at the thought of adding this stuff to each tostada I piled high with fish. If you can stand habanero, I highly recommend it. Pro tip: a tostada isn't a tostada here. If you think you're ordering a single tostada you're mistaken; you're basically ordering enough fish to feed one person and they'll serve that to you in a plate or bowl. The portions are pretty good so don't make the mistake of ordering several things thinking you're just ordering 2-3 tostadas worth of food. I know this review is a bit scattered but I forgot to mention I'm not really a fan of seafood. I went here fully prepared to have crackers and accompany my family while they ate...that's not at all what happened.
