This mall has gone way down hill. Used to be a relatively nice mall. Nothing wrong with a good deal, but the stuff around this mall besides belk and a few other chain retailers is just strange and cheaply made. Would be like if they turned the myrtle beach strip into a mall.

The food court is always spacious and roomy to eat on quiet days.

The Carolina Place Mall will always have a special place in my heart for years and years to come. Ever since I was born in 2005 I've visited this mall again, and again, and again. The service in every store has been outrageously wonderful and even to this day, the stores still have their kicks! A certain selection of Stores contain things that I cannot find in other places and even a hint of something new that peaks my attention such as Hollister, they've come out with a new McLaren clothing line (and coming from a car guy) that grabbed my attention tightly. Prices of many things will vary on what you want or where you shop and the density of items you buy from one store. But in the end, despite it, you will still walk away with an item that will last a very long time. I should know, because bought a t-shirt back in 2016 from Hot Topic and it still holds up even after 8 years! If you are looking for something to gift to a special person such as your wife, husband, fiancé, girlfriend, cousin or anybody. This mall has your answer in various different ways and suggestions. If you're looking for some food to eat. My best suggestion is "Sbarro". The spaghetti will have a tasteful sensation to your taste buds. Overall this mall truly has me grasped in it's own hands. I will come back again, and again for years and years to come.

Average stores. Very disappointed that they allow some of the food places to be so disgusting. Cinnabon was a nightmare - service was awful and it was a total mess. Cinnabon itself earns ZERO starts from me.

Carolina Place is nice. There's nothing that sets it apart from other malls. It's two floors. It offers the typical stores like Foot Locker, Bath & Body Works, Dillard's, Victoria's Secret. The Christmas decor is up. The Santa meet and greet station is also already set up.

Charlotte has a few of these classic style malls. Northlake. South Park. The former Eastland. The new outlet mall on I-485. And of course, the Concord Mills mega mall. Among these shopping destinations here in the Queen City, you'll also find Carolina Place. Several of the usual anchor stores - JC Penney, Macy's, Sears. You know them. A food court with the usual suspects - cheese steaks, japanese, chinese, sandwiches, pizza. You know those too. The usual array of stores. Jewelry, clothing, whatnot. You know these too. The mall itself is on two levels with walkways along both sides as it weaves its way from one end to the other. Easy shopping, lots of benches, lots of inside trees and greenery. And don't forget to look up at the lovely glass roof. It's a pleasant shopping experience.

Letting the kids play in the play area at Carolina Place mall. Though this is a great indoor place to allow you children to play safely it can truly use some upgrades! Suggestions Slides Make it taller Better climbing area Separate area for toddlers Stroller parking Remove machine rides We've been coming here for years and we love it but as the kids get older the play area remains the same. As the mall grows and changes so should the kids area.

Serving Pineville since 1991, this mall still contains neon lights in the skylights. It also has something for everyone, including REI! I like the outdoor elevator and escalators, very unique for a busy mall like this.

I used to work at a full line Nordstrom years ago, so I know quality when I see it. That's why I love the Rack because you can always expect good brands at better prices than you'd find at the full line store. To some people, Nordstrom Rack still feels a little pricey for a discount store, but you really have to compare it to the original full line price tags. I live in the NoDa area, and I will say this location was a bit farther out than I expected, about 25 minutes from my house. I was honestly surprised that there isn't a Nordstrom Rack closer to the city. This one is more on the outskirts, which is fine, but it does make quick trips or exchanges a little less convenient. Yes, you can return items at the full line Nordstrom, but sometimes you just want to browse and see what's new. Parking here was easy, and the store itself was clean and well organized. Coming from Houston and then Florida, I wasn't used to seeing so many coats in stock, so that actually caught my attention. They had a big winter selection, and I ended up leaving with a super cute trench coat, a puffer jacket, and a couple of other cold weather pieces since I know Charlotte winters are going to be colder. The staff was about as friendly as you'd expect at a Nordstrom Rack, but they moved quickly, and the checkout line wasn't long. Overall, this location was consistent with the other Nordstrom Racks I've been to. No surprises, just the usual dependable Rack experience. I'd definitely return.

The store was very well stocked and clean. You didn't see much on the ground from items knocked down. The items I found were priced very well. No complaints. There was so much variety here that you could spend a lot of time in this store. Upon checking out, I was greeted by a young lady. She asked me about opening a store credit card and I told her no thank you. Her demeanor changed, lol! I mean I'm sorry that I don't shop here often enough but also store credit cards are too limiting! But anywho...nice experience here and I would return.

Ballantyne has been developing at a pace I clearly haven't kept up with, and suddenly there's this whole little district with a mix of restaurants, an outdoor amphitheater, a big open grass lawn where people can sprawl out or toss a ball, a playground tucked off to the side, and that general sense of activity that makes a place feel like it's actually being used and enjoyed rather than just built for show. Since I still had time before the Postino event kicked off, I walked down to Olde Mecklenburg for a beer. It was a bit too cool to sit outside in their beer garden, which is usually the move, so I settled inside and it was exactly the kind of comfortable, familiar brewery vibe that makes you want to linger for a second round even when you know you shouldn't. Parking is three hours free, which is generous for a place this busy, but you do have to register your car. If you stay longer they'll charge you, and if you don't register at all they'll be less than thrilled, so it's worth taking the extra minute to do it right. The whole setup makes it easy to spend an afternoon here without feeling rushed, which is probably why I ended up enjoying the pre‑event time just as much as the event itself. I will say we really enjoy Copain's French Onion Soup and Quiche, and the staff has been great there, but that's it for the restaurants. Also, restaurant prices are outrageous for what you get.
