They promised that the package would be ready for pick up in 6 or 7 weeks due to a backlog of orders. I started calling around 4 weeks to see where I was in the production cycle but nobody would answer the phone! I texted, phoned and emailed to no avail so I contacted my bank to file a complaint to which the bank could not get any response also. The bank then recouped the money and credited my credit card for the full amount. a couple of days later a representative for Stroud's called me to say they were ready to make my roof package. This was at the 6 week mark. I explained that my bank had recouped the funds and the representative requested that if I would reinstate the charge they would make the package and would even pay for it to be delivered to my site. I declined the delivery but agreed to reinstate the charges in good faith. Within two days of the charges being reinstated the manager emailed and texted that because my bank had taken the money back they could not make the roof package for me unless I sent another form of payment. I was not going to do that and when I attempted to contact them I could not get any response. After this I reached out to law enforcement and filed a police report for theft and then tried to contact them again. No response but a week later I get a voicemail text that they are really sorry for the delay and would be making the roof package the following week. So I called and this time someone answered the phone and I explained that I just wanted a refund and they agreed and stated they would send a check out that Friday when their book keeper was in. That was three weeks ago. At this point all I can do is reach back out to law enforcement and see how to proceed. I hope this review will help someone from making the same mistake as me! After all it has been 6 months and I am out the roof package and $5,000.00!

I have personally seen and purchased some of Hibriten's lumber and can tell you it is good quality. But, with that said, one day I needed more lumber then I could transport myself and got them to deliver. The day it was delivered I started to use it. And let me tell you something, only four of the boards were fit for anything! All others were twisted, chunks missing, big dents, huge knots, dry and cracked like it was left outdoors for a few years. On top of this, one board was cut in half to make two boards I wanted. The bad thing of this was that they didn't cut it straight nor get them cut to the right length. One half was longer then I needed and the other was shorter. When I called Hibriten and told them what I got, the response was a very calm southern "Sorry, would you like to bring in the one that was cut short for a replacement?" To this I was thought, "Wow, really!?" I get the same customer service at big box stores! And let me tell you, if I had went to a big box store I would have paid less money. So they have lost me as a customer since they can't treat me better then this, I will get the same quality and cheaper somewhere else.
