Yes, I mean it. Seriously, I had dreams about these men (not in the usual George Clooney/Brad Pitt type way) but in a must get my hands on some more type way (okay so not really that different I guess.) So every December over the past few years I have stolen away to this café to get a sugar hit in the form of stars, gingerbread men, and bells, and every other month in between I go there for the fabulous coffee and to test my ability to resist desert temptation. Offered jam, but arrived cold. Coffee okay. Should have trusted my instincts. A short walk either way would have brought me to other cafes where the experience may have been different. It was pretty tasty and looked spectacular but for its price point was typical for brunch. A bit underwhelmed by the coffee - was expecting a little better. Staff overall were pretty nice and helpful but unfortunately when taking away the dishes, one managed to drop a knife and fork over a companions jacket (accidentally but still..) The cupcakes here are fresh and the icing is super rich and tasty. I bought a box (thinking of what an epic eating adventure my housemate and i would have) and started off our weekly 'True Blood-athon' with a box of these delicious wonders. They had such a large assortment of cupcakes, the designs are truly individual (they had Collingwood vs Cats Jersey cupcakes), I took home 'Red Velvet' which was a delicious white choc top with red base, and Lemon Meringue cupcakes.
