A lovely French girl took us through an extensive tasting with some complimentary cheese and crackers and house made bread. The wines themselves were stunning with perhaps the best Pinot Noir that I have tasted in Austerity so far, and a wonderful Rose also. All the wines were lovely, there wasn't a white or a red I wouldn't have had more of had I not been driving. And then a garden walk that is truly amazing. The owners migrated from the US 20 years ago and clearly started planing right away as the garden is amazing and you can still see a lot more planned Really recommend a visit.

The staff were professional ..... and knowing your product really helps with expressing the passion of the area and the committed people who produce all that is sacred. I had a great time. You never feel rushed or pressured to buy ..... but instead encouraged to give feedback on all the various types & vintages of grape .... as well as combinations. I walked out ..... well 3 steps forward .... 2 steps back with a Box of 5 different wines .... with a shelf life of approx. midnight ....... that night !!

The gardens are being worked on and look as if accessibility is high up on the list. Plenty of gentle ramps take you along the garden path. Closer to the main gate there is a coffee/tea shop that serves breakfast on the weekend. The wine bottle labels are pretty interesting along with the names for some of the wines. Our host was a young lady who was able to give us lots of information. She was very good. As for the wines, we were able to find ones that we liked too.

Full size dinosaur fossils and magnificent gem collections makes you start thinking of why oh why oh why does wedding rings only adorned with diamonds when you can have insect encrusted Ambers? Cheap entry cost and lovely guided tour makes a visit here a must!

It was a tedious drive from Sydney today and my first task was to ask for the loo. I was pointed out the door and I walked into a garden with a fountain and tables, chairs & umbrellas. The loo was an outdoor one so I really didn't expect much. It was luxurious. Apart from being clean and having the necessities there were some pretty good pictures on the wall to keep you amused if your stay was going to be an extended one. I digress again. We did come here to try the wines. Our host was very knowledgeable and friendly so the tasting was a bit of a treat. We did find wines we liked; red and white plus a sweetish wine to have with cheese. We met the cellar dog who has been featured in a book about cellar dogs. It hasn't gone to Fluffy's head as she allows anyone to give her a scratch. I'd come back here just to sit on the lounge and have a glass of wine. You could also have a cup of tea.
