We discovered a rodent infestation under our home in the insulation and when it was removed and cleaned, mold was found. After extensive remediation, we needed to have our home's wool bedroom carpet and our upholstered furniture cleaned and be assured that whatever contamination "out-gassed" into our home's inside, was cleaned. Carpet MD was recommended by a friend and Chris, the company's owner, was great to deal with. I had been living at our friends' house, due to related health problems, and was coordinating cleanup companies from there. Chris was very understanding, compassionate and kind. He gave me a quote on the spot and his technician Alyssa came out a few days later, on a day that worked best for our schedule. Alyssa did a very thorough and wonderful job and we are so happy with the results of her work. We were concerned about how to best clean a 100% wool bedroom carpet, but Chris explained what needed to be done and it turned out beautifully. I highly recommend Carpet MD. We have nothing but good things to say about them. Their prices are very reasonable. I believe they are a company of integrity and they know what they're doing, unlike some larger companies out there who market heavily but charge more for lower quality cleaning agents and service. read more

Carpet MD exceeded my expectations! I scheduled an appointment for an air duct cleaning on Monday, had Chris and James out to our house on Thursday morning at the exact time of our appointment. Chris and James were extremely professional, courteous, and friendly. They explained their process to me. They spent time cleaning out each and every vent, return, and furnace. Then they went back and sanitized. Chris even showed me the debris that was removed from our air ducts. Oh wow! I can't believe how much dirt, dust, and garbage! There were even screws and a roll duct tape (left behind by construction?)! All in all they spent about 2 1/2 hours at my house (2 story 2200 sq ft). The price was exactly what was quoted over the phone (extremely reasonable!). I was so impressed by their work that I asked to have a carpet cleaning quote done while I had them out. Customer service and tech experience, great. Wish I knew and had been properly educated on realistic results. The tech seemed apprehensive. He was already in my house, I should have pulled the plug. But didn't want to waste his time (my problem, not the company's). My carpet was not that bad, just battled pet stains. My carpet is now worse. We are ripping it out. The $659 dollars we spent on this service would have have been useful in the renovation. Just wanted to share that if you have a pet stain issue, seriously consider doing something else or get a clear idea from the tech. Everyone I spoke with was very wishywashy and obviously hesitant to lose my business by telling me I wasn't going to get the result I was after. It wasn't even a minimal improvement. read more

Infuriating experience. I was given a quote over the phone of $182 to clean about 1,000 sqft of carpet space, which a competitor gave a similar quote for. Wanting to use a small, local business I went with Carpet MD over the competition, which was a big mistake. When the technicians arrived they calculated 1,185 sqft of carpet space and gave me a bid of $475 and then told me I was getting a discount! The technicians had me speak to the receptionist again and she didn't take any responsibility for the mistake. She spoke with the owner and he said they can't do any better than $475. I was forced to fire them on the spot! I was given a 3 hour window for them to arrive and it took over an hour of back and forth before I fired them. It was a total waste of planning my day around a service that couldn't be fulfilled. My family has used Carpets MD for years and will no longer be using their services due to this situation. I am so thrilled with Carpet MD! I've had really bad experiences with carpet cleaner so I'm pretty tough to impress. Carpet MD gave me a window of time that they would be here, the day of they called me with an exact time. When they arrived, they walked the house with me and asked for areas of concern. They were so thorough, they spent a lot of time in the problem areas, they treated the dog accident areas, they raked when they were done. They gave us shoe covers and a bottle of stain remover. I've used Carpet MD 3 or 4 times in two different houses and have always been really happy with the service and the high level of professionalism. They show up on time, are great with reminder calls and "we're on the way" calls, and in my experience finish earlier than planned. On their most recent visit to my home, Chris and his team were able to get out old, tough pet stains and also stretched my old carpet back to looking almost-new.
