I found Stephen David's carpet cleaning service through YELP. I reached out to several businesses…read more Stephen replied quickly. He's local to my area and I like to support local, nearby small businesses. We chatted on the phone and he was able to fit me into the schedule for next day service, which was very convenient as I had limited availability to be home. On the day of service he texted me giving me updated time of arrival and showed up on time. I had a 770 square foot condo which required carpet cleaning of living room / dining room, a hallway, a coat closet, a bedroom and a walk in closet. He charged $205 which is reasonable and fair for the job. Stephen was friendly and personable and explained what he and his two helpers would do. They identified the building water supply and brought in the needed equipment to set up. They pretreated some stubborn stains near the front door entrance and pretreated the carpet with spray solvent / detergent. They also had plastic wall corner protectors (kind of like traffic cones) designed to protect the corners of the walls against scrapes or scuffing from the vacuum hose and electrical cords of the cleaning machines. They then used an agitator bristle brush rotary machine to scrub down the carpet. Next, they used a hot steam sprayer combined with a vacuum to steam clean the carpet and suction up the dirty water / detergent mix. They were very thorough working on the carpet until all stains were removed. I had moved 90% of the furniture ahead of time to make their job faster and easier and they moved the other 10% quickly and efficiently. Overall the set up took about 25 minutes and the carpet cleaning took about 1 hour. Afterwards Stephen gave me plastic squares to put under the bed frame and table legs. He gave me instructions on how to let the carpet fully air dry for 24 hours. I was also given a few business cards and asked him about his other clientele. Overall it was a super smooth and friendly exchange and my carpets look great and it has changed the energy of the condo. It was a great and necessary part of my spring cleaning. Also the week before I had a guest stay with me who had brought a new puppy that peed / pooped and chewed on the carpet (even though we put down puppy pads, it missed the pad when doing its business). This was also why I wanted to have the carpets professionally cleaned. I offed to pay my bill in credit or cash. Stephen and I agreed on cash. I received a written professional invoice upon payment. Stephen says he's been in the business for about 40 years. It shows, he's professional, friendly and efficient. Nice job! 5 stars out of 5 stars from me. I would hire him again.

Kaitlyn was amazing to deal with, and she was extremely helpful and knowledgeable as it pertains to the difference between wool and nylon carpets. I first met Mario and his crew in the midst of their install during a random visit to our home. Mario took the time to introduce himself and crew, whose names I've forgotten, and show us around the carpeting. Everyone that we dealt with from The Carpet Guy was genuinely friendly and very professional. The carpet looks and feels great, such an improvement over the ancient carpet we had. We had carpet installed in a total of eight rooms so have plenty of opportunity to enjoy the quality of the carpet, the pad, and the invisibility of the seams. A couple of friends commented on the install, we've even had someone ask for the company's contact information. There were two things that needed to be resolved throughout the process, we were told that their supplier had shorted them a section of carpet, the material arrived and was installed in short order. Mario even took the time to share that that particular seam was inside the closet so it wouldn't be walked over as much and he wanted me to see the quality of the seam. Shortly after the install was complete, I was making a very critical examination of the carpet and looking for defects when I discovered that I could feel the tack strip around the tiled area near out fireplace. I called Mark he told me he'd have Mario stop by and knock down the tack strip, Mario called me soon after and asked if he could stop by on a Saturday. In short order the tacks were knocked down and I was invited to check the work. Simply put, I was well treated, the materials and workmanship are wonderful, and I would highly recommend The Carpet Guy to anyone who asked.
