Ordered a fire surround and fireplace from this company which came to a significant amount of money (£thousands). After it was fitted we complained that there were rust marks and blemishes on the Acquisitions stainless steal fire place. They came out to re inspect the job and agreed that this wasn't right and that they would speak to the supplier (Acquisitions of London) and come back and rectify the problem. They returned and changed part of the fire from stock they had, however there were still blemished and rust marks on the rest of the fireplace and after weeks and weeks of chasing a date for when they would be fixing the problem they suddenly turned nasty and told me, the customer, to stop harassing them! I then wrote to Acquisitions of London and they were no better and offered no solutions. Do not use this company as they are nothing short of hopeless!

AVOID is my advice to others. In summary, I ordered a fireplace and, as other reviews have said, they were incredibly pushy about payment before they'd even delivered or installed the fire. In addition to the £2K cost of the fire, I also paid them a lot of money- £600 - to do the installation. It was supposed to take them two days but it actually only took half a day, as less work was required than anticipated. They still wanted the full £600 and I paid this as I didn't want to argue and thought they'd done a decent job. After they left, our neighbours came round to complain because they'd secretly dumped all the rubble and waste on the neighbours' drive, even though they'd been paid to remove it as part of the job!! I called and emailed politely asking them to come back and they promised to come out, but they repeatedly failed to show up. They then stopped replying to texts and emails. I'm now about to go through small claims court to get back the extra paid to someone else to do the job we'd already paid FBD to do. One of the women working in the shop was also incredibly rude and inappropriate when I politely asked them to finish the job we'd paid for. To top it all off, they never provided the extra coals they said they'd include with the fire. Overall, a complete disgrace of a company despite a very nice looking showroom. This B&Q is particularly good. I've used it lots and lots and often its neglected by customers…read morebecause there's a bigger one in town - which means that their sale stock is often in for longer. Also the customer service is great - they've been open to haggling when I've felt cheeky (in fact I saved a packet on a bathroom suite) and they've also been and looked at the computer to track down a missing bath which they didn't have in stock. They couldn't do enough for me which makes the difference really instead of a big anonymous superstore in my opinion.
