My family and I visited Carrabba's tonight for the first time and everything was amazing! We ordered the meatball and ricotta appetizer, and shared the filet & shrimp fettuccini. Our waitress, Melissa, was phenomenal! She perfectly explained everything down to there being big portions which was enough to share. It was a very cold day out. My daughter and I were just freezing, and we decided to stop into Carrabba's. It was so warm the minute we walked in we sat facing the kitchen. You could see the fires and the cooks, so pleasant. Carrabba's has a warm and pleasant atmosphere. Our server was fantastic. He came back and chatted with us at least two or three times and he was very attentive to our needs. The salad was freshly prepared and delicious. Our meals were excellent. The prices are a bit high here but on this pre-Christmas occasion we decided to splurge. It was well worth it, we both took home enough for another meal. I recommend this resaurant. It's a great date night or family feast if you like Italian. There's just about anything you could want and you can choose more than one meat or selection and create your own plate. This was my first experience at a Careabba's and I was excited to have some gluten free options on the menu. Service was pretty decent and we arrive shortly after the end of lunch so the restaurant wasn't as busy or crowded. I started eating before I took the pic but hopefully this gives you an idea if you should order. The stuff chicken was good and well seasoned. Maybe a little too salty for me but I did get some extra cheese added to the chicken so if this is the case, skip that cheese please. The soup was just okay. We came here for dinner because it was close to our hotel . Usually don't have Italian since my wife cooks it all the time but we were hungry so we stopped . After a long road trip we started with a pitcher of sangria. Unfortunately they charge 33 bucks for a pitcher of ice . We barely got 3 glasses out of it and had to order another without ice at all. Appetizer of stuffed mushrooms was delicious. The meal was great as I had the Johnny trio . Came with steak , pasta and chicken three ways . Very filling to say the least . Got delivery the other day and it was ok. Like simply ok. Ordered the chicken parm and some simple veggie pasta. The salads were basic. Pretty lackluster. They were small and not super exciting. The Caesar was totally better though. The bread was a nice touch. I like that it came with all of the herbs and oils. Heated up well. The chicken parm was pretty good to my friend. We reheated it all and it was decent. The veggie pasta was good originally- great garlic flavor and nice light sauce. A ton of quantity. Not so great the next day. Kinda over cooked. My husband and I had dinner tonight 11-7-2025 at the Carrabbas"s located 10 Buckstone Pl Asheville NC As we waited for our meal a German Roach came running across our table. After killing the roach with a cocktail napkin I discretely saved it on the side to show Sydney who was our server. She showed the roach to the manager who later came to our table her name is Jaimie Hiley also managing partner. I did not want my dinner my husband ate some of his. Sydney asked if we wanted anything else we declined. Sydney then informed us that my dinner was no charge. Sydney explained that the women sitting behind us comped my husbands dinner. We asked why? Sydney could not answer. As we left the restaurant we saw Jaimie outside, I decided to ask her why she allowed another customer to Pay for my husbands dinner. We couldn"t believe we had a bill, secondly why did Carrabbas"s a huge chain restaurant allow another customer to pay for anyone bill? ! Jaimie responded with this statement, the roach wasn't in my food it only ran across the table. If that is the standard for Carrabbas"s restaurant I feel Carrabbas"s corporate should know. The restaurant appeared clean. That is the best thing I could say. Asked for an allergen menu as I had spotty cell service. They didn't have one. Later when I could get the menu - we found out our recommended food had dairy. We asked the server to check because it looked like there was cheese. She assured us we were good. Turns out nope, not good. Apart from that the rest of the food was not great. If a little bit of spice is good, a lot must be sooo much better? The restaurant was close to empty but still waited for almost 30 minutes. We had the combination appetizer of stuffed mushrooms, mozzarella cheese and scallops. It was ok. For dinner I had the new vegetarian pasta dish forgot it's name and it was delicious! Our waiter was attentive but a little forgetful. It's been 2 years since we last ate at Carrabba's. I'm glad I re read my review from back then because it reminded us not to order anything from their steeply over-priced bar. I had forgotten everything about our pre-Covid experience. This time around, the establishment didn't appear to be seating at 100% capacity and all the staff were wearing masks. The wait time to get in was very off-putting. The hostess did warn us that it would be a 20-25 minute wait upon arrival. After 30+ minutes of watching about 7 groups being sat before us, it was our turn to eat. They didn't do a great job of cleaning the table; the booth had crumbs left on the seat and there was a napkin left on the floor that our daughter was overly focused on. The server was polite, thorough and punctual; checking on us multiple times throughout the meal. We ordered mozzarella for the appetizer. I ordered the shrimp Alfredo with Angel Hair pasta and side Italian salad. My husband ordered the trio with the steak masala, spinach ravioli and chicken Brian with a Caesar side salad. The kids had spaghetti and chicken fingers. We all ordered desert to go; sogno de ciccolatte, strawberry cheesecake and cannoli cake. They were super quick to bring out the appetizer and bread, and the entire family dug in faster than I could take pictures of it, which showed just how hangry our group was at that point. Lol. The bread was baked perfectly; crispy on the outside and soft & fluffy on the inside. The herbs & oil pared deliciously. The mozzarella sticks appetizer was much better than the average bar platter. They brought just my husband's salad directly behind the appetizer. Ten minutes later they brought my salad, plus a second Caesar salad for my husband, which tells me that someone just happened to have an extra Caesar when they were walking by our table earlier. My salad was "okay." I couldn't quite figure out why it wasn't more appetizing than "okay." The romaine lettuce was fresh, but stalky. The cherry tomatoes were soft and juicy. The olives were, well, olives. What they called "ranch dressing" tasted more like a chipotle blue cheese. I dunno. I was craving a salad and for some reason was left unfulfilled and slightly dissatisfied, but I can't for the life of me figure out why. About 15 minutes after the salads hit the table, we received our entrees. My husband's portions appeared rather small for a $25 plate. I stole a small bite of his steak; it was very high quality, juicy and flavorful. So much so, that I had wished I ordered the steak. My plate, on the other hand, was three times the size of my usual dinner portion. Not much to say on the flavor, other than it was edible and cooked perfectly. I needed a togo box for my leftovers. All that's left is to comment on the deserts we took home to eat. And OH MY GOODNESS! The deserts RESCUED the experience. I didn't have high hopes considering that all the previous dishes were "okay" at best. But holy heaven. Even if you ordered nothing but deserts while here, it would be well worth the trip. The brownie dessert was a decadent piece of chocolate heaven. The cheesecake was the perfect texture and sweetness. And the Cannoli cake was super fluffy and yummy. Server was delayed and didn't greet us until about 10-15 min after we were seated, we did get our drinks but the runner was the one who brought them out to us. He stopped at our table as he was passing by as if he had forgotten we were here, then he continued to ask us "you guys ready to order" very rudely. After he asked for our order and they brought our food it was the wrong salad THEN The couple I was with LITERALLY found a bone in his chicken soup. THEN he was refilling our drinks, he poured sweet tea in my husbands coke, which wasn't even empty btw, it obviously wasn't sweet tea if he had been paying attention, but then again the runner brought our drinks and not our server, but he never bothered to check to see what our drinks were before refilling. After our food was brought out there was a HAIR in my husbands Alfredo... we were disgusted. So we I went here to eat yesterday night around 9pm , they close at 10pm. I like to take into consideration that the people like to get off work when it's time to close so I ordered my food as soon as possible. I had brought my mom and my best friend with me. . The first thing that went wrong was the salad my friend got. It was the Italian salad and it tasted like plain lettuce. Okay that was really no biggie because we just ended up sharing a salad because we couldn't get our servers attention. He was sitting down at another table chatting away this whole time. We literally had to stand up and wave him over. We also ordered an alcoholic beverage.. the margarita and the peach sangria were great , can't complain about that at all. After we had finished our salads (30 mins after ordering ) we were still waiting on our food which was in the window mind you. We had now been waiting 45 minutes. We sat there and sat there and the man jumped from the table he was sitting at to the table behind us. Finally after another ten minutes he came to our table we proceeded to tell him that we was just gonna go clearly he didn't have time for us. He said that our food was up I'm sitting there looking at him like uhhh clearly it's been up for the last 15 -20 minutes. I didn't want to cause a problem so I told him to just bag it to-go and we would just leave. He then went to the two tables again before he went to get our food. But again before he got our food he went into the back of the store. This was a ridiculously long time to wait on an order of basic food. Fetichini, scampi and lasagna. Like it should have been timed to come out right after the salads were cleaned off the table. The problem with that was that the salad were still on the table when we got up to leave. Yes, when he went to the back of the store he left. We didn't rush out we simply walked out slowly waiting to see if he came back out and of course he didn't t. When he was talking to the table there towards the end of my story he had specifically told the people it was 10 mins til 10pm and we sat there at least until 10 so we literally sat there for a hour and still didn't have our food. SHAKE MY HEAD !!!! SOOO DISSAPPOINTED because a few weeks ago I was introduced to this place and it was so good, as far as the taste of the main dish and the service. It was so good it's where I wanted to eat for my birthday so I also ate there a second time on my birthday and it was even better the second time. The pork chops omg so good and even better when I saved one for the next day. This time I was sadly disappointed like I said. Service was non responsive on a timely basis. The food never got delivered but I'm sure it would have been just as good as before. The atmosphere when we got there started out okay and then just got worse. When we told the server we wanted to just leave politely he basically kept pushing for us to just take it to go. At that point we were just done with the situation. All three of us have waited tables before and one of us still do. We know how a good server treats you. And the rule is the customer is always right so I don't know if this applies to this man man because he acted like he could just take all the time in the world but then when it got closer to ten he was basically telling the other two tables they had ten minutes to order before the kitchen closed. Another thing as previous servers I always assure my tables to take their time and try to make them feel I rushed. So the fact he just failed all the way around I give my trip here this time a 2/10. During a business trip and staying at the Courtyard hotel next door I stopped in for dinner. I ordered the chicken parmesan and garlic mashed potatoes. The food was good and the service was even better. Chris was my waiter and he was diligent about serving. I discussed my love for their cannoli cake, but I didn't want to order one. He said he might be able to work a deal if it was my birthday and ironically I was just a couple days away from my birthday. I finished dinner and Chris arrived with a full-size cannoli cake. I tried to call to place an order. The phone rang off the hook, with no answer, so I decided to walk over from the hotel I was staying at and place a take out order. When I walked in the To Go door there was a woman sitting on a man's lap, on the phone taking an order who told me to go back outside and she would bring me my order. We stopped in for a super delicious dinner at Carrabba's. They have some new limited time menu items that we wanted to check out. We began with the mussels as an appetizer, which are half price every Friday in the bar area of the restaurant and we followed that with a salad. My wife chose the Tuscan grilled pork chop with mashed potatoes and sautéed spinach. I picked one of the new menu items, the prosciutto wrapped pork tenderloins topped with a port wine glaze and some mashed potatoes with the garlic broccoli. The flavors in our food were outstanding and complimented each other perfectly. A really great meal! Dessert also featured a new menu item, limoncello bread pudding. So, so good! Cons: The place was empty except for two other tables, and it took *forever* for someone to acknowledge we were there, let alone get menus, and there were three servers just standing around, carrying on a casual conversation. Then it took forever to get the appetizer. We were done with it for 15 minutes before she brought the salads. Then it took another half hour after we finished to get our food.
