If you aren't, it's still good to know that Franprix is the place you go to for your convenience shopping. They've got everything you may need, whether it's food, drinks, or supplies for the house (who knows, maybe you forgot to bring some toothpaste - they got it!). This location is kind of small, but filled with all of the amenities. There was one worker when I went around 7pm and he was very helpful despite our language barrier (I speak little-to-no French). I believe there are two conveyor belts, so maybe there were more workers. There are also 5 or 6 self-checkouts. Honestly there was no reason for me to give this place anything less than 5 stars.

The store itself is split into 4 split levels with the main street level featuring fresh and frozen food. High ticket cured meats were tagged with a lock. The upper split level featured home goods along with some Paris Olympic souvenir items. The lower split level featured clothing and personal hygiene items. The lowest level featured an area for cookies, chips, and beverages. Checkout was available with a self check-out or staffed station.

It was our first day here, so I needed to stock up on supplies - Water, fruits, snacks, and of course beer and wine, lol. I think I was spoiled by the huge upscale market that we went to every day in Nice. You know the one I am talking about, because you are following. Ambiance - Decent size, but an irregular shaped market. Has the minimum of everything we need. But it would be nice to have a full service deli, bakery, etc. Service - This is where it all failed... They/she had the hardest time getting our loyalty card. She struggled entering our phone #. Then the cashier started helping someone else with a complaint when it was finally our turn to check out. The cashier just could not figure it out, so she started going through her garbage to dig out all the previous receipts. The person behind me got impatient and started complaining. The customer that cut in line started complaining. I almost just left... Price - I did not even look; I just wanted to get OUT of there. Oh, everything we bought did not have prices, so all your labels need to be updated... What a mess! Owner Comment - Not sure what you need to do, but you need to hire better employees. A very busy market, and our first visit into a grocery store while overseas. The bakery items…read more(bread, croissants, lots more) were fresh and ready to grab and go. There was plenty of beer and wine to choose from (inexpensively) and along with meats, and cheeses all the usual items you'd find in most grocery stores here in the States. The produce looked fresh, there was good selection of frozen foods and though the store was busy, the line moved fairly quickly. You bag it yourself here, so it doesn't hurt to carry a bag of your own while visiting, or grab one of their reusables cheaply to bring back to the US with you as a souvenier of your overseas adventure.
