I live about ten minutes walk from this supermarket, or small hypermarket really. I love that it's here but rarely feel the need to walk past the selection of smaller shops and two markets on the route in order to use this place. That said, I find myself there once every couple of months.
The products for sale. I can give you two scenarios.
First is someone needing a major quantity of relatively high end products for a party or whatever. Definitely an interesting shop, gorgeous produce - fishmonger, cheese counter, delicatessen. Butcher, and bakery are of a very, very high standard. Massive choice of fruit and vegetables that you would spend days tracking down in the markets, lets be honest. Brilliant.
Another scenario would be someone needing to stock up on basics for a larger family. Here too someone with a decent amount of self disclipline could find the shop useful. Is this it's primary target customer? doubtful.
There is a carpark. Like most carparks within Paris it is underground. For free parking remember to put your ticket into the small stamping machine next to the cashier when you pay for your groceries.
There are self scanners available at the entrance for loyalty card holders. There is also a home delivery service. Combine the two services together to really appreciate the usefulness of this store.
*(in passing, there is a filtered review here that totally slams the cashiers and other floor staff. If I was being diplomatic I would say the staff are generally in line with other supermarkets in France as a whole. Not surprisingly they are not quite in line with boutique shopping in Passy or similar. Let us not consider the behaviour of the customers or I will be here all week)*
To sum up - excellent supermarket for high end products. Service first class for home delivery and self scanning. Handy carpark. read more
