Carrie was suggested to us from our wedding venue, the homestead at Wilshire Ranch, and as soon as I saw her work, I instantly knew I wanted to work with her. When first contacted her, her prices were a little out of our budget, knowing it would be high though since wedding photography and video is normally high, especially if their work is good. I informed her of our price range and she was willing to help cater to our budget. I was ecstatic since she had been my number one choice since the moment I saw her work. In her package she includes, wedding day photos of course and also an engagement shoot. With the engagement shoot we were able to get to know her a little as well as her get to know us. We fell even more in love with her. Her personality is so personable, really made us feel like her friend since most know, being photographed isn't always the most comfortable. She made us laugh, smile, comfortable, and warm (we shot our engagement session in the mountains with 40 degree weather!!) didn't even notice how cold I was though. Our big day, she arrived right on time and began to work her magic!! She was so attentive, kept our group in Check when things started to get rowdy, and with my family and friends, it gets rowdy hahah... she was so kind about everything though and you can tell she was working so hard to make sure everything was perfect. I am so beyond thankful to have found carrie and her team to photograph and video our very special day. We will be able to look back on the memories forever all thanks to her and the amazing team. One star, because I can't give 0. Honestly, biggest mistake I made while planning my wedding was hiring this photographer. Like others said before, she seems amazing at first, until we put our deposit down. She disappeared. Sent our contact over a week later, then again no responses after that. EXTREMELY hard to get ahold of. Almost made me think she wouldn't show up on my wedding day. Day of, dressed unprofessional, had an attitude with videographer and family. It was such a beautiful venue and photos were only taken in 3 spots. One being the freaking dirt parking lot! My dressed was covered in dirt before my reception. Photos also look mostly unedited, not in a good way. Sadly, she was one of the venues recommended photographers. read more

I would be very careful choosing to go with this photographer. She seems sooo great at first! But as soon as an issue arises she is very slow with responding to you. If you love her work then go for it! But if you aren't crazy about it, I would choose someone else. I ended up cancelling my services with her because I jumped into booking my wedding photographer too hastily and after a lot of consideration chose to go with a different style of photography, and as soon as I wanted to cancel, she was very stand offish! And came across unprofessional. Also after a lot of searching, she has a very high retainer fee compared to many photographers. I was booked with her for only a week and she kept 50% of the retainer fee. I completely understand she needed to turn away business. But I don't assume she was getting that many potential clients for my wedding day that is almost 2 years away. So it came off a little greedy on her part. But I understand legality. Moral of the story, know that she is what you really want and read though her contract carefully. read more

My boudoir shoot with Carrie was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life! Not too ironic since the shoot was perfectly named "Beautiful You." Carrie made me feel so comfortable as I was understandably nervous. She was caring, fun, and beyond professional explaining the poses and reasons why behind them. The reason I am giving 1 star is because I can't give anything less. I can honestly say our experience with her has been a nightmare. It has been over 3 years now and we still do not have a completed wedding album. For starters, her and her husband have lost a portion of our photos that we specifically set up for them to take at our wedding. Their solution to that was to steal still shots from our videographer. Unacceptable! Next we had to have a friend take pictures of the cocktail hour because they neglected to bring a photographer capable of doing that. Next we had to deal with her and her husband arguing throughout our wedding photo shoot. After 3 years of listening to excuses were delivered a wedding album that has our name spelled wrong on the front page. Please don't let this happen to you. Have someone else take your pictures. Good luck getting her to return an email or a phone call. Once she gets paid and hands of a crap product she is all done. read more

My husband and I hired Carrie last April, 2012 for our engagement session and wedding that took place at the Newland Barn in Huntington Beach, CA on July 28. We were referred by friends who use her quite often for family portraits. We met with Carrie and her husband Sam the day of our engagement session for lunch so we could get to know each other better. Carrie listened to our ideas and what our goals were for our engagement session and wedding day. We proceeded down to fun zone in Balboa for our session and had THE best time. Carrie knew how to make my husband and I open up so we could get the best photographs possible. She spent OVER the time allotted for the engagement session and went above and beyond to get a variety of different shots at many different locations around Balboa. Carrie was a huge help leading up to the wedding, providing ideas to make our wedding day go smoothly. She even previewed the venue ahead of time to make sure she knew what to expect on the big day. The day of the wedding, Carrie showed up to photograph the girls and I get ready, while Sam stayed with the groom and groomsmen to document the events leading up to the ceremony. They were both just a joy to be around and captured some really magical moments. The wedding went off without a hitch and every detail of my wedding was captured the way I wanted!
