Ever since I let "my one day be my day one", I've had the opportunity to dig into my studies with massage therapy. Admissions and Finance are extremely helpful and show how supportive they are about students coming to learn at their campus. I must add that my instructor really knows his stuff and I'm glad to be taught by someone with such knowledge and experience!

I took the Clinical Medical Assisting Class offered by CalRegional also known as HarperRand…read moreCalRegional. It was $2,995, for 8 weeks, in person 9AM-1PM. Textbook not included (I have a physical MA Textbook available for sale for this class, if anyone wants to buy it off of me lmao! Not kidding either!) Navy Blue scrubs only is the uniform color you'll need for the class. My instructor was Ms Nina, although we were able to meet and be taught by the then, CalRegional Manager but now Instructor again, Melony for our class for a few days. Melony is a great instructor for the few days we had her. She taught us a lot. She is also very approachable and it was easy to get ahold of her. She was always responsive when I needed to get in contact with her towards the end of my class when she was placing me for my Externship. I was actually very lucky to be apart of the last of her students she placed for Externship before she stepped down as manager and became an Instructor again. Now Kathi is the current CalRegional manager. Let's get back to my class, as I said my Instructor was Ms Nina and I can't say enough good about her. She is the best! She's honest and open, her teaching methods are very hands on. She's funny as hell and super relatable too! She gave us a lot of insight on what to expect in the real world and couldn't stress safety enough! Our class was small, but made the learning experience all the more better. She taught us all so well and really made the time to help each one of us to be successful and absorb and understand what she was teaching us. Healthcare and the world in general need more people like Ms Nina! Thanks to her, I scored so well on my AMCA Exam and feel more confident than ever in my ability to be an amazing CMA. Note for future students: get all your prerequisites in by the first week! (Except for the drug test obviously, but at least pay for it and upload your receipt) Don't wait until midterm. Get it done by the first or second week. That way when it comes time for Kathi to place you at your externship, you can get placed sooner rather than later. I did all my pre reqs by the first week and got my externship start date for 3 days after my last day of class. If you wait til last minute to upload all your pre reqs and you'll end up being placed at externship later, because CalRegional technically has up to 60 days to place you. Also, pay your tuition in full so that way once you finish your externship and email your booklet to CalRegional you can immediately get your Certificate! If not, you don't receive it until you're paid in full.

I requested a investigation and to have the skills re-taught expressed the discomfort and the anxiety that was caused from the tones and the disrespect from the teachers' frustration being she had no assistance with teaching skills but overall terrible treatment. Still waiting for a call from the regional managers manager as she filtered my complaints to avoid backlash on herself and the pm staff. Hoping this will raise attention to get the call I have been awaiting.

I was at the NCCC crane course! My time their on campus was for the National Commission of…read moreCertification of Crane Operators. Most of the classes consisted of Vets. with disabilities ranging from 80%-100%. While they may qualify for the course, the qualified operator has to be physically fit to operate,(not limited to company policies and OSHA)! It is a excellent course as set forth by NAHET's! Problems that I see is that during the first phases of admittance they are some how persuaded that after they finish their training they will have a free job card. How can you as a individual believe that an organizations responsibilities are to have job waiting for you? Individuals that can't read the manufactures recommendations, couldn't retain information, and failed test after test after test. Waiting for the end of the course and is expecting to go straight to work. I remember one of the guys in the previous reviews and that is what prompted me in writing this piece. He doesn't have any buisness around this machinery. And so I can see how he could be upset in wasting his time. Had failed every test taken, he couldn't operate his car, much less a 100,000lb crane. I have with me the 3 of the 6 operators out of that last class I taught that really showed me they had the ability and witch they make 30,000 a month. Organizations don't handout free jobs and anyone that feels they earned it by letting the tax payers pay for you to go to a learning institution is wrong on so many levels. The candidates aren't the only one to blame. The grant that's given to the disabled Vets knowing the physical capacity to obtain such work, the school that enrolled a disabled Vet. Before sending him to a DOT physical, the disabled Vet that went forward wasting the tax payers money knowing, no one will hire one that cannot read, that has no depth perception or hand to eye coordination, that has disabling medical conditions, that can't retain a piece of course material. Remember that while reading bad reviews there are always a two sided story. And I do hope that they read this first before trying to imply they weren't treated fairly, it was to hard and that it's someone else's fault! Thank you for your time.

Now years later, I am trying to simply speak with the Dean of Administration who not only refuses to call back, but responded without even paying attention to what I was asking. Carrie has deliberately chose to ignore my attempts to reach her and to discuss the matter over the phone. Her email was a in passing, and pathetic excuse for someone at her level. Per usual.. another non-profit that claims they hold space to the community, but don't in reality. Tread lightly at this school. Document everything, don't trust fiscal, and do not think they will support you in any way unless it relates to funding their financial numbers. Look at the reports.. they statistically fail.
