Carr's Garage Inc. is my #1 CHOICE for smog inspection and Safety & Emissions Certification! I actually made an appointment at a different auto shop, but a disgruntled looking man basically shooed me away by telling me (in a patronizing way) that he didn't have time to remove the tints on our windows and add the front license plate on our vehicle to get the RI sticker of approval (to pass the Safety & Emissions check). Guess it was too much work for him and was hoping for a quickie. This person could've asked me questions over the phone instead of making an appointment only to send me away without taking the time to explain options and reschedule another appointment. There was no professionalism or nicety. Annoyed and feeling rotten (hey, I'm only human--a sensitive one), I decided to search for another Smog Check location on Yelp (while still on the lot of the previous auto shop). Interestingly, Carr's was close by (less than a mile away) and had more highly rated reviews, so I decided to take a chance and ask if they had any openings that day. I was relieved to hear the voice of a nice sounding man who said I could come in (it was already around 12:30 pm). When I arrived, there were many employees busy at work. AND they had kind (not angry) looking faces! When Jason, the owner, came out to greet me he looked like an ANGEL compared to the last guy! Jason was very polite and easy to talk to. He took his time to explain what needed to be done, giving me options and time to make phone calls and make a final decision. Although Carr's was already working on several cars, they managed to fit me into their busy schedule and get my car approved for the Safety & Emissions Certificate. We got the sticker the following day. No damage to the defogging strips on our back window after the tints were removed, and they even cleaned our car. Pricing is fair and reasonable. Quality service. This company is reliable and trustworthy. Everyone there was polite and professional. I'm so HAPPY and lucky I found Carr's!! Life is good again, LOL read more

Just recently my DH sheared off the passenger side mirror leaving a tangled mess of cables. They fixed it right up with a great paint match. Carr's Garage didn't disappoint! They are not only knowledgeable, but super honest and dependable too! (AWESOME) Jason was great as was the mechanic who changed the oil and went through my car did an all point inspection. I had been looking for a shop to get a full exterior and interior detail, and because of so many high-star reviews I decided to come here. When I arrived to pick up the car, the interior looked and smelled great! The tires looked brand new. Unfortunately I was less than wowed with the rest of the exterior. I had some oxidation on one of my panels, and some scuff/dirt marks on which I figured would've been removed. The headlights really didn't look any different either. Overall, the exterior looked like it just got a basic wash. For the amount I paid, I feel like it could've looked better. I also found it odd that the receipt I received (via paper and email) had no information on it other than just the total paid. I'd probably go elsewhere with a shop that exceeds my expectations other than this one which just kind of met them. read more

I've never had to deal with insurance before, so I was nervous how to go about dealing with repairs/insurance agents when a contracting company dropped a cabinet on my car. I called Carr's and they were able to take my car promptly and dealt with the (very very frustrating agent of Sompo insurance) so well. They arranged a rental for me and updated me periodically about the repairs. I had my car back to me in better condition than I could've imagined and they even detailed and washed it for me. I was in from out of town and looking for a place to drop my car off to be fully detailed while I didn't need the car for a few days. I wish I had before pictures. I have a Subaru Outback that I've owned for 7 years. I have a 9 year old and 7 year old. So yes, my kids grew up using that back seat and it had NEVER been professionally detailed. After being neglected at one auto body shop,I took it upon myself to go on Yelp and find another hop with better customer service. I took a chance and chose Carr's Garage. I called and spoke with Nicole. I asked if she had openings for the week after my accident, as soon as that Monday, and she said yes, happily. I also wanted to verify that if I got in touch with my rep, that he would be able to come out ASAP for an immediate appointment and she again, happily replied YES! That alone made my day. So I had my car towed from the other place, that day, and had it sent to Carr's. When I got there I met Nicole in person and she was just as lonely as she was on the phone. She cared. And it showed. I explained my MVA and she took it upon herself to cover my tow fee, call the other persons insurance and set me up in a rental right there on the spot! That blew my mind. I've never received such great customer service from an auto body shop before and I've had my fair share of accidents. She had her connections and was able to get my in a rental shortly after. She put my needs before the money and it made a difference and I'm forever grateful. My baby (my car, not an actual baby) was hit as I was turning in the parking lot at work. A low speed crash but it did a lot of damage since it was an F250 Super Duty pickup that hit me. I brought the car to Carr's Garage and was very worried. I love my car and I have never had to deal with insurance before. I detail my car regularly, interior and exterior, so I know every scratch and blemish. I told them to take their time and not to rush. They even worked with me so I wouldn't have to pay my deductible. I picked up my car last night and it looked like a brand new car off the lot!! I was so impressed!! They replaced the left rear quarter panel and you can't even find the seam if you try. They blended the paint and did a beautiful job. They cleaned my headlights and they look factory new! I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the car door to get in and it smelled so fresh. They detailed the interior too! If I ever need body work of any kind, I will definitely be using Carr's Garage!! read more

For my 100th review (cue the balloons & streamers!) I'm happy to give Carr's 5 stars! I'd give them 6 stars if I could. On the day I was due to drop the car off (and pick up my rental, arranged by them) I discovered my battery was dead....I had left the dome light on. Doh! No problem....with almost no notice they delivered my rental, jumped my car and brought it in. The finished product is just beautiful, the whole car looks great! My oxidized headlights had been repaired (and that was not part of the damaged area) and the entire inside detailed. The contrast between how clean the car is now and what it looked like when I brought it in is actually embarrassing. Oh yeah, and they dealt w/the insurance company. I've basically done nothing. I could not sing enough praises not loud enough praises for Carr's!! This place is amazing. I got hit and run in a grocery parking lot in October. Luckily there was an eye witness so I could file a report as my passenger door had been hit on the hinge and unable to open. I tried unsuccessfully for 2 months to get a call back from the guys insurance company and was at my wits end. I was referred to this place and all my worries cast away... Jason helped me personally. He offered to get in contact with the insurance company for me to alleviate my hassle. He got me a rental car and worked on my car for a week. He replaced the door, front tire (due to wearing from being hit), hood (cut me a deal as this was scratched up since I'd bought it). On top of everything, he changed my oil, detailed the car and buffed it AND touched up any paint scratches on the body. My car looks BRAND NEW.
