Shared spaces, including the hallways, parking lots, entryways, laundry rooms, and grassy areas are filthy. People do not pick up after their dogs, leaving large piles of feces along the sidewalks. Maintenance will drag furniture/old refrigerators to the dumpsters and leave them on the ground beside it. The hallways wreak of weed, and occasionally trash if someone leaves trash outside their door. Along with the lack of cleanliness in shared spaces, there is also no maintaining the smoke detectors which have been dying for two months. Sidewalks are in disrepair, and when it rains the mud from the hill near the laundry room makes for a dangerous slip-and-slide on the sidewalk. The air conditioners are not maintained, and it sounds like a lawn mower kicking on right outside your window while you're trying to sleep. The apartments are seldom sprayed for bugs, meaning the apartments are home to many pests being in a wooded area, including centipedes, brown recluses, large crickets, and camel crickets. When the bugs die in the hallways, they are just left there. The laundry rooms are one of the filthiest spots--dirty machines, dirty floors, no upkeep whatsoever. The coin slots to the machines come out/get stuck so the machines cannot be used, which is ignored by management/maintenance, even when they are aware of the problem. When you lose your coins in the machines, you do not get your money back. Instead of maintaining the soda machine in the laundry room, a sign was just placed on it saying, "Out of Order," which has stayed that way for over a year. The lawn care service hired, Super Cutz, blows grass clippings all over everyone's porch and cars in the parking lot. They don't always blow it off, but when they do the workers walk right up on your porch and look in your apartment. When trimming bushes, the person on the lawn mower would just run over the sticks with the lawn mower instead of picking them up, which were then blown on everyone's cars in the parking lot. Maintenance requests go ignored for weeks, and phone calls to the office about maintenance are ignored; the doors to the office are now kept locked. Prior to the management change, the air filters in everyone's furnace were changed every three months. This stopped with no warning once PMR took over. Many residents here are elderly or college-age, and the accumulation of dust on the filters is a fire hazard. The only way management communicates with residents is through an app, so the older and elderly residents and those without the app do not receive important messages. Along with the rise in filth comes a rise in rent. Our rent went up $130 dollars with management change, along with mystery charges that cannot be accounted for by staff. The only amenity at Lakewood West is the swimming pool, which was only open for about a month this past summer. The road leading into the apartment complex is riddled with potholes. I have personally had not one, but two flat tires over the course of a year while living here. One was from the grate at the end of the steep hill by the office. If you like being inconvenienced, management/maintenance/upkeep that is completely absent, dog poop, and having to take your laundry elsewhere, then Lakewood West is for you.

The office staff and house keeping staff are excellent. They have gone through several maintenance men, some I liked and some I didn't, but the landlord has always been nice and eager to help. Overall a quiet place to live (they allow cats and certified service dogs). If the apartments had laundry hook ups, it would be the perfect place to live. The apartments are close to all the amenities (stores, restaurants, gas and medical) but you still feel tucked away and more secluded, which is great! Best of both worlds; would definitely recommend Lakewood West!

So my aunt paid a fairly significant amount of money for what was SUPPOSED to be a very…read moreprofessional painting job. Joe, the owner of 1st Patriot, gave her her estimate and guaranteed that she would be completely satisfied with their services or they would keep working on it until she was satisfied. They were originally scheduled to start on the Monday July 6. They told her they would call the day before to confirm. After not getting any kind of confirmation, she messaged them and asked if there were any changes. He replied Sunday NIGHT July 5, via text that they were running over on their previous job, and would be there Monday afternoon to start prepping. Monday evening, she messaged them and they told her they were "not coming until Tuesday afternoon, remember." She did ask if they would be wearing masks, but he did not acknowledged the request at first. When she asked a second time, he said they were "all out". I personally came to the jouse during the job and not a single painter was wearing a mask. They did an incredibly unprofessional and all around half-assed job. When she tried to discuss the issues, Tony, the manager, tried to intimidate her by yelling at her. She reached out to Joe multiple times but received no responses. They quoted her that it would be a 2 day job and ended up not being done until Friday because thet had to fix so many of their errors. They did not clean up as they went and tracked paint dust through the house. Therr were several spots where the paint was so thin. You could see the colors underneath. (Previously a very pale blue and very pale purple in 2 rooms) they tried to "trim" or "frame" light switches, etc and the walls ended up looking like they had patched a hole in the wall. They dripped and smeared paint in several places. Things like putting light fixtures and smoke alarms back that were never done either. We sent pictures to both Joe and Tony to show where they left paint on wood trim and cabinets so the sent one guy in to "clean it up" (still not wearing a mask). Tony informed her Thursday evening that she would need to get them a check asap so they could "close out the job" even though she explained she was still not satisfied with the job that was done. She messaged Joe and asked that she be able to speak with him about the job because she did not want to speak with Tony again after his inappropriate behavior towards her. Joe never apologized for the horrible experience. He informed her he would "be able to meet some time next week, but was unavailable to meet her that day." He never contacted her after that day. When she posted her experience recently... 1st Patriot decided that their best course of action was to not only be unprofessional once again, but also to exhibit incredibly rude, insulting, and absolutely unacceptable behavior. Be very cautious if you ever consider using 1st Patriot for any job because THIS is the experience you have to look forward to.
