I was referred to this company by my mechanic who told me to call and order parts for my car's repair. I called inquiring about some parts for my vehicle and the man who answered flat out said "I can't help you".... No reason why... nothing. I asked why and he said they don't carry my brand of cars parts. I asked if they had other brand of parts that would still work on my car and he said "we don't carry that brand of parts" again..... and then hung up. He was so rude I almost wanted to cry. Dean is the owner and did the job. I supplied the parts with the rear end removed. He allowed me to drop everything off at 0600 on my way to work. It was done in 2-3 days. He even waited for me to get payment (cash only) as he was getting ready to close for the day. Drove ~200 commute miles so far, no issues, no strange noises. I'm happy with the service and will return for front end next year. If you want a flashy, kiss your a$$ service, look elsewhere. My interactions with Dean were to the point and straight forward. Dean at Carson City Drive Line Service built a couple Dana 60 axles with 5.38:1 gears and ARB air lockers. I had a small issue with one of them after a Rubicon trip. Oh no!! Don't do it! Don't even consider it. My car sat for a week before they got to it. Then the problem wasn't fixed. I seriously doubt my car was even driven. Brakes and rotors were repaired, but the horrendous noise still exists. Oh and welcome to the dark ages; cash or check only. How about a little notice when you called to tell me the car was ready (but not repaired). What a disaster. read more

Oh my. I never even got my car in the door. This guy is uncooperative and rude. I tried to schedule some work and we were unable to get anything scheduled. When I called back several days later to ask about bringing my car in his response was "no". No explanation, no attempt to schedule work, no anything. Just "no". Okay... bye. read more

Dean's been at this spot for something like 20 years or so (per him). He's a good guy, get's it done when he says he will, and gives the price up front (which is fair). I had a detroit locker put in a Toyota 8.4" rear (T-100) and supplied the parts. No issues, went smoothly, and operates well. Wouldn't hesitate to use him again. read more
