We had a quote for a replacement of our transmission and a repair of the turbo on our 2011 Ram. The turbo wasn't an issue. That was repaired but he wouldn't offer a warranty for his work. The transmission went from I'll rebuild it to I didn't like the way it went back together so I'm going to order a new one sent in. That became they sent the wrong one so i'll try to rebuild it again. Every week was, we are waiting for parts. After three days shy of him having our truck for eleven weeks we sent a tow to pick it up and take it to another shop because we were again waiting for another part and were told it would be at least another week. Our final bill included a $1500 rebuild kit but the parts for that kit were missing when the new shop received the truck and he had drained all of the oil and coolant out of the truck!!!!

Unfortunately, despite strong recommendations from multiple friends who had great experiences our experience has been nothing but frustrating. My friends are intelligent, detail-oriented engineers who were very involved and knowledgeable during their installs. Since my house had similar needs, I trusted their recommendations and chose the same system. Looking back, I can't help but wonder if they saw an opportunity to take advantage of a woman overwhelmed with purchasing her first home while her husband was deployed overseas. It wasn't until I started gathering documentation to seek legal advice because my system has never functioned properly despite having a tech come out 10 separate times to work on it that I realized the installed equipment did not match what we paid for according to my invoice and install notes. Aside from being sold one thing and having another installed my next biggest concern and issue is that the heat pump has never functioned. Communication has been consistently poor. Calls aren't returned when promised, issues aren't addressed in a timely manner, and it feels like we're stuck in an endless cycle of technicians coming out, spending hours on the phone with tech support, and the problem continues to be unresolved. The owner/president, John, has now stepped in and assured us he is going to "take care of everything," but at this point it honestly feels like empty promises and excuses. I would strongly encourage anyone considering Coastal Aire to do thorough research and pay close attention to their reviews and customer service history. I will be happy to return with my alternative recommendations as I'm getting referrals and meeting with other companies to get another opinion.
