33 dollars for a 5 minute haircut?? I can do better at a more reasonable price. It's a good barber but the layout is kind of funky.

I have been going to Angie since I was 5 years old and now being 22 years old, I will continue to get my haircut with her whenever I need one in Franklin. No matter the length, detail, or style (which have all varied greatly over the years) Angie never fails to ask what I would like and consistently verifies with me throughout the cut that I am happy with the process. If I am not, she adjusts accordingly, and I have never once been disappointed with her work. On top of that, she always remembers details about my family, friends, and personal life that I have shared with her over the years. She is caring, kind, and most of all, incredibly skilled in her craft. Carson's is the real deal. My shop was closed, and reached out to see if they do a classic fade, military haircut. They were awesome - with the most up date Box Shaver give you a smooth scalp, and blends with no line. Great attitude, comfortable old Barber style chairs, and watched Country Music Video's while chatting. Even the powder at the end reminded me of when I was a kid. LOVE this place. Reading some of the reviews, I shook my head. No only are these master Barbers and clipper experts, they do a final touch you only see now on TV. Finally, imagine that kindness to take me last minute? Next time I'm buying the product they sell there. It's awesome, high quality and the packaging a lone gives you that old world Barber vibe. No wait, polite staff, easy parking, the general environment was clean, saw no disinfecting of tools between customers. They cut hair here but this is not a barber shop. The first tip that the vibe here is about them, not the customer, is that they were playing women's daytime television. There were two men there before me, this place is about, get in, pay, get out. I used to get haircuts in Nashville but my barber moved; most of the barbers I've ever known looked at their craft as a skilled trade they take seriously. Like a really good mechanic, you can tell a lot about them by how they keep their tools and workspace. The basic full clipper cut quality was a 5 of ten with no attention to detail. Though there was no one waiting, the cut was rushed. Most significant reason to not go back is that the final neck clippers were either dull or not aligned properly and they micro cut my neck about five times. I had contact whelps all over my neck for 48 hours. To use clippers that actually nick people makes you wonder if they disinfect between clients. I think in a lifetime of hair cuts I've had one or two of these types of nicks, there were literally five places where my neck was nicked. I wouldn't advise anyone to go here and I definitely wouldn't take a child here to experience this. read more

Worst haircut I've ever gotten, Red headed lady was in such a rush to clock out. I just ended up telling her to shave my whole head off. And yet she still messed that up. I had to grab the clippers myself and cut my own hair. Seems like someone needs to go back to Beauty school!! Well every time I go into this barbershop I get a fast cut that always looks good. That can be hard to get in an area that doesn't give many fades. I appreciate when I go I don't hear some political nonsense for the time that I'm there. All this is why I keep going back. read more

I don't think this is a real barbershop, despite the pole and sign out front. If she knew how to do a medium fade and blend the side and top using a #2 guard, she hid it well - lots of comb and scissors and less #2 and shears was my experience. My selection of a guard size was apparently just a "recommendation," not a requirement. She must have heard me say, "Anything shorter will do." This place felt 1 step removed from a shop in someone's house. I should not be handed a mirror and think, "I picked this place, so I have to pay, but thankfully it will grow out and I can try some other place later....maybe later today." read more

I started going to Carsons/Angie in 2014. there has been a hiccup from 1 of her employees but she corrected it. I tell Angie what i need done and she does it at a NON ridiculous price. The FREE neck shave is also unique and feels very good afterward. Hey if you're unhappy about something tell her so she can correct it while you're there. Don't complain on Yelp after the fact. I thought that the mom cut my hair pretty well. I really liked it and went back. She was very nice and interesting to talk to. Next time I got my hair cut by the daughter. Not good. Was back at a salon within a week to fix things. Never had to do that before in my life. Seemed to be a lot of confederate flag crap around the waiting area. Not my kind of place. I was in town on vacation in the spring of 2013 when I stopped at this "barber shop" to get my hair cut. I asked if she could do a razor fade, and she stated she could. I guess I should have specified a straight razor fade, because the bic razor job that I ended up receiving would not qualify as a razor fade anywhere else. I agree with the other two posters...this is definitely not a barber shop. Now that I live in Franklin, I will be finding myself a real, master barber. read more
