I called and left a message to forget the house receptical and just do the backyard receptical, because we were trying to save money.Brad called that monday said it was still going to be $700 to $800 with the trench digger rental .So, day of the job this was a young man doing the work .We were charged $80 an hour for labor and they didnt have certain tools on hand so i let him borrow my rake to backfill and he approched me and said he was done ,i paid him and he left .I went out back and low and behold there was a big pile of dirt that wasnt finished and my rake had been broken and laid in the yard .We spent 90 minutes finishing the back fill.We were charged 6 hours of labor when the young man took a 1 hour lunch and he also left for another 30 minutes .Brad told me before they were finished the bill was going to be less than $900 then the bill was $925 ,when we were told 2 days before $700 to $800.I talked to the owner about the employee overcharging work time and the broken rake and we agreed on a $80 refund which is one hour labor.My thoughts is $80 an hr is way to much ,especially for a young man that was doing the job.I could see $50 an hr maybe.This business has some corks to figure out like actual written estimates and having the proper tools on the job.

Had significant…read moretrouble with installing recessed lighting in our ceiling resulting in two drilled holes in the roof, covered up with caulking while also ripping drywall from the ceiling. I had contractors come in to repair some of the damage caused (not all) which was higher than the value of the work he did. I still offered to pay him something to at least cover materials when he seemed reasonable about what had happened. This has resulted in insults and possibly threats from him on how he would get his money back. Response to owner: nice mix of truths and outright lies. I've sent over the full cost of the drywall repairs for him to see. The cost I told to him was only for the excessive damage he caused. Not even all of the damage he caused. He never told my wife about the holes in the roof she just happened to be around when they started panicking but she wasn't sure what was going on. I checked later after she told me something fishy had happened and I had to call him after he left for him to acknowledge the holes in the roof.
