Great service and great prices! Great selection. We ended up with 3 pairs of shoes and 2 outfits for $50!

I have gotten some good deals on items here - same or better than Amazon on things I've bought for my kiddoes like iplay brand hats and swim diapers, all manner of Melissa & Doug toys, Skip Hop utensils, and wooden building blocks. Alex, the owner, is active in the local community and often hosts crafts and sing along events in the store during the week for children. The store gets new items in all the time, too, so every time we stop by there's something new. Definitely a great spot for kids in Melrose!

She asked me how many I needed and I told her I would need four. I explained that I lived an hour away and she stated she would hold them for me, asking me for my name. I drove an hour with my children (one of whom is profoundly disabled). My son was super excited, but when we got there the two girls said they just started their shift and could not find the items. They texted a group chat and told us that the girls who were on the shift before them were new hires. They stated one of them replied "maybe" when asked if they spoke with me. I showed her my call log and the girls apologized. My son ended up sick from car ride / anxiety over the situation, vomiting at the exit and we quickly had to leave. I did reach out to the store owner. She claimed she was out of town and would call me back the following day. Days later I never heard from her so I followed up in email. Instead of being apologetic for the situation and not calling me back she proceeded to shift blame and gaslight me. She said they would never agree to hold and that I should "plan ahead". I don't recommend a store whose owner does not value their customers. I am deeply disappointed in her response to what happened.

I adore this store! It is located one street over from Main, on busy North Ave, sandwiched between…read morethe Diner and a dance studio. It opened in the summer and has been quite a hit. A big, thoughtfully decorated window invites one in where you will find a divine collection of childrens' clothing, accessories, books, toys and other items bound to delight any youngster. The selection is good without being overwhelming and while more pricey than, say, Walmart or similar stores, I think you get excellent value for what you are getting. Some of the lines they carry come from England and are just adorable. And it isn't just for girls - I have got things for my now almost 2 year old nephew which were original and charming. In the back by the check out area, there is a display of some lovely jewelry, bags, and other pretty things for Mom or Grandma too. Or in my case, Auntie! I got two beautiful necklaces and some earrings on my first visit. The owner and her mother run it together and both are just delightful. I've had some excellent conversations there while checking out. Young mothers with babies are often to be found there and it is a warm and welcoming place. They often have sales and weather permitting a table of interesting items outside. Whether you are shopping for a new baby or a five year old, you will find something here that is unique, well made and just what you didn't know you were looking for. Check it out! You will be very glad you did.

This one has the nicest girls, and always has decent amounts in my sons sizes... I hate when I find somthing I love & cant find his size... This store doesnt really have that much clearance items (as I have seen in other stores) but their prices are fairly cheap & if you shop right you can get good deals... I also always have tons of coupns & because I have used my card soo much I have reached a higher status & get 10% off my order in addition to coupons... I truly love This Childrens place & it will continue to be a regular stop of mine... Its located in the mall right outside Macys on the 1st floor, so if you park in that section & walk in the mall door right there, its right behind the Up Escalator!

The person (Sabrina) on the express register ran my card and it said approved. Then she said it didn't go through and she would have to run it again. She did and then I checked my online banking and saw that it did actually go through twice. I asked her to refund the double charge and she said she couldn't. So I asked for a manager and got Courtney. She had no idea what to do. She called someone to ask what to do and then tried to find the transaction in their system. She couldn't. She disappeared in the back room for awhile while I waited with 4 KIDS! Long story short, I was in there for almost an hour while Courtney tried to figure it out. Meanwhile, I watched other customers have issues, not be given receipts, and the staff was overwhelmed and confused. I asked for the number for the general manager and Courtney had no idea where to find it. She disappeared for another 20 minutes before I had to go find her. She said she thought Cam was getting it. Terrible customer service and badly managed store! I am waiting for a call back from the general manager.

Prices are high--even for incomplete items--and there's a serious lack of transparency. I recently looked at a used LEGO set marked "mostly complete." Priced at 25$. When I asked for details, I was told someone counted the pieces, but they refused to share how many were counted or what was actually included. Instead, I got a dismissive comment by the manager about how it sells for more on eBay?? If someone actually counted the pieces, why not be honest and mention it in the description? Is it 100 pieces missing or just 10-20? That's a big difference, and buyers deserve clarity if I'm going to spend 25$ on it. Worse, when I asked questions, the staff were rude and defensive, showing no interest in helping or being honest. It's disappointing and frustrating to be treated that way--especially by a place that claims to serve the community. I'm done. After years of supporting this store, I won't be going back. I won't support rude people who don't care about the community or the customers who make their work possible. I'm starting to question whether this is truly a non-profit store anymore. It feels like their focus has shifted to making profits rather than serving the community in need
