    Outdoor camping in the hottest time of the year, not the most ideal. However, the experience is one…read moreof a kind. This event happens once a year, it's a pilgrimage for Vietnamese Catholics to come. The location is on a seminary with big spacious grounds which families and churches come and set up tents to stay from Wednesday to Sunday, mostly the first week of August. Churches come and set up big tents to sell food and tapioca to fundraiser for their church. Mostly cash so prepare if you want to eat or drink. Friday and Saturday nights are the two biggest night with mass outside along with a concert right after. There's confession throughout the days of the events along with activities, prayers, and daily mass. Most events are geared for Vietnamese (language) and Catholic practices, however - all are definitely welcome to share in faith and culture.

Tens of thousands of attendees come from throughout the United States, while non-Vietnamese locals and some visitors from Canada and Vietnam also attend. Tips: book hotel or motel in advance (at least 3 months ahead) You can park your RV or camp there. And camp site is available one week before.
