We usually order our flowers with customization in colours and preferences through the wechat app and the owner is pretty responsive to our orders. However, on busier days such as Mother's Day, the owner is super disoriented and gives you whatever pre-made bunch of flowers she has on hand. I ended up with two bouquets that are purple, even though that is not what I have ordered. The owner stated that she had given my bouquet earlier to someone else who came to pick up and therefore is giving me someone else's purple bouquet as well. You can let the owner know your budget for the flowers and she came make the magic happen for you. I usually order $50 bouquets in advance with requests of peonies and no lilies. Her wrapping has gotten more modern and beautiful over time which is great that she is keeping with trends! There are also single stem flowers and premade bouquets that you can purchase on the spot. A big tip for this shop is to pre-order early and don't pick up your flowers on a busy day/ holiday like Mother's Day. Pick up your flowers a day before and have it readily available at home to make sure you get what you actually ordered! Overall, would I order from here again? Yes - because it's cheap! Is it a gamble with your flower colour? Yes - but I'm willing to take the risk for it!

Small yes but they usually stash all their flowers outside their place so you can't really miss it. I've been getting flowers from this little shop for years now, for occasions like my sisters' graduation to mother's day and more. One of the best things about this little shop is that you give them whatever budget you have plus a colour theme if you have, and they put together something unexpected and amazing. If you don't have anything in mind they also give great suggestions. They've been opened for many years now and for a good reason. So, if you're from the area and you're looking for a flower shop, this is the one to go to.

It had flowers and plants spilling out into the mall in lush green and bright floral displays. There were a ton of kumquat trees of all sizes in preparation for Chinese New Year. The smaller potted ones started from $35 all the way up to big trees for businesses that were hundreds of dollars. They also had a lot of holiday flowers like poinsettia varieties in the front that were a beautiful, vibrant red and a pretty good price as well. We confirmed the pricing with a gentleman that was working there and he checked with an older lady who seemed to be running the show. At checkout they told us about care instructions including how often to water the plant.

Several days prior to Mother's Day, I placed an order on Freshland's website for a bouquet ($88 after fees). Since I was opting for pick-up instead of delivery, I selected the payment method of "in-store". A couple of days later, I received a call from an employee asking for my credit card information so that they could process the payment before making my order. This call was unexpected, and I asked if there was another way I could pay because I wasn't comfortable reading anything off over the phone. They allowed me to send an e-transfer instead, which was an OK alternative. While I can understand that processes have changed under COVID guidelines, having an "in-store" payment option online with no indication that we will be called and asked for card information is a bit of an unpleasant shock. 2. Yesterday, I picked up my flower arrangement and it so poorly resembled what I ordered on the website. Understandably, Mother's Day is a busy time for florists and with stock limitations, some substitutions are necessary. HOWEVER, what I received did not at all resemble the arrangement advertised - I have attached photos so you can make the call for yourself. Less subtle differences to call out: no succulent (just a bunch of leaves in the shape of a succulent lol), SIZE, colour way (but ok, substitutions maybe? This can slide). It's pretty, but it's not what I ordered and paid for. 3. Flower freshness. Most of the flowers came fully bloomed so we knew immediately the arrangement wouldn't last very long. Some petals were starting to brown and wilt, and today (the day after pick-up) some petals have fallen out already. The arrangement costed over $88 after tax, and was underwhelming. I tried really hard to convince myself I liked it, but after showing photos to a friend who used to work in a flower shop I knew a review was imminent. I'm disappointed that this was my experience with Freshland because I've had excellent experiences with shops in downtown Toronto and have been looking for a business closer to home to support. There were only a few tables in the cafe so we did have to wait about 10 minutes for a seat. Servers were super kind and delivered all of our drinks and pastries to our table. We ended up going with the Oolong Creme Tea and a Hot Chocolate. Both drinks were great, I was a big fan of the tea. It comes with a huge tea bag, so you can have multiple cups if you want to get your moneys' worth! For the pastries, we had the Almond Croissant and one of the scones. The croissant was moist and flaky, but the scone was a bit dry (it's not as bad if you drink it with some tea though). This is a cute little cafe inside Hillcrest Mall! If you are looking for a quick snack this is a good place to grab a bite and snap some Instagram pics while you're at it!

Ms Ly said the item can be made as a stand spray. I indicated I will order the item in stand spray. Ms Ly said my order has to be placed by email. Through out the conversation, there was no mention of price variation for different presentations. I placed the order as instructed. The next day, I was informed by email that the price is 25% higher because of the deviation from catalog. When I reply complaining that was unethical, Ms Quan said "I sincerely apologize for you to misunderstanding our conversation." How can I misunderstand what was not said?

This quaint but beautiful shop is located in an assuming plaza in West Rouge. The owner, Sarah, is a consummate professional with eyes for details and she has arranged countless beautiful bouquets for my family and friends. I only wish I still had photos of all the arrangements I've gotten from Sarah over the years to show just how beautiful her arrangements are. She has gorgeous, rare flowers she expertly crafts into one of a kind bouquets and over the years, she started carrying other locally hand-crafted items such as soy candles, bath products, gourmet foods and other items that are perfect for that last minute gifts. I have personally tried out some dips, candles, shower scents, teas and they were all excellent quality. I look forward to having Sarah's shop in our area for many more years to come and I highly encourage anyone who has not been to this shop to come check out this West Rouge gem.
