The cook although cooked a decent meal, he did not even attempt to put on any sort of show or make any attempt to engage the patrons the way other tempiyaki restaurants have done. Then there was the prices. If they'd had the exceptional service the prices would had been inflated, but acceptable. Instead, I just felt ripped off. The service was sub zero, the prices were a one, the location over the river and the food were good and the only partially redeeming factors about the place. Avoid it.

On arrival I thought this would be a typical Franch brasserie, cozily decorated with friendly waiters. It turned out to be a tapas place, which I'm not a big fan of. They have set menus as well as a la carte. The set menus are prepared for the whole table and in our case contained a variety of dishes including meat, fish and asparagus. There was one main course in the menu, and we had the choice between duck breast of fish. But boy this was good food, very interesting creations (chocolate samosas, deep fried asparagus etc.) and loads of it as well. Accompanied by nice wines, this was one of the best meals I had in Paris. Absolutely recommend this to everyone. The bill came to an acceptable 230 Euros, for 4 that is including 2 bottles of wine.

When we arrived, we were greeted and quickly seated to a table decorated perfectly for the holiday: with party hats and horns! The came the huge TOWER of appetizers! The chef herself, Flora Mikula, came out to greet us and explain each item on the tower. After the tower of amazing apps, we were served scallops over risotto. The scallops were perfectly cooked and the risotto was creamy, light and not over-seasoned. The main course was also delicious and by the time it came around, I could barely stomach half of it! I was so full! Dessert was a series of sweet appetizers: a little chocolate cake, mango ice with fruit salad and two mousse-like apps. All delicious. We loved the place and atmosphere so much, that we loittered drinking more wine and coffee until midnight, when the place erupted into cheers and music. I ordered from the 22 euro set menu (prix fixe) and had: "Salade Avocat et Crevettes" (which I would not recommend), "Confit de Canard accompagne Pommes de Grand-mere" (the potatoes were just FABULOUS --- and I don't think you can ever go wrong ordering confit de canard), and for dessert the "Panache de Sorbets au coulis de Fruits." One of my uncles also ordered from the 22 euro set menu and had: "Terrine de canard en croute" (Delecious. Especially on the baguette), "d'Agneau roti" (ehhh...I would pass because it lacked flavor), and the "Tiramisu" (One of the most memorable ones I've had. It was perfect). My other uncle ordered "Oeuf Poche Bleu d'auvergne" (this was delish!) and the "Tagliatelle Carbonara" (very rich and had plenty of bacon, but still left something to be desired because of the lack of flavor). In summary, I would recommend the: Oeuf Poche Bleu d'auvergne, Terrine de canard en croute, Confit de Canard, and the Tiramisu. Bon Appetit!

The reason for the low rating is that during dinner the waiter spilled a glass of red wine all over me. And I mean, all over me. I had wine splatters in my hair, on my face, necklace, dress, jacket...and nay an apology. I was a mess and all they did was give me a cloth to wipe the wine off with and provide a free tiramisu. No apology, no comping of my meal or at least the offending bottle of wine. No offer to pay for the dry cleaning for my coat which after trying to scrub the wine spots out of it in my hotel room bathtub, still has splatters. I'm pretty sure it's "ruined". Can't help but appreciate the better service one would have received for this horrible incident in the U.S. Bad customer service!
