Went for an early dinner on a Friday night and it was pretty calm in there. No sports were on tv so it was a bit more quiet than I usually see it. I've been here for breakfast, but this was our first time trying dinner. Dinner was good, not amazing. We had Fajitas, some tacos and enchiladas. From a food perspective everything tasted good-ish... Was hoping it was going to be as wonderful as their breakfasts have been, but maybe it's what we ordered. Service was great though. The waiter was very attentive and helpful. There really wasn't anyone else to serve except us, but he was still on top of it. Will I go back, yes. Will it be my first choice for dinner, no. We have been coming to this restaurant for quite some time, but the overall service has changed. The food quality and menu is not the same anymore and the prices have slightly increased. First time at this location but I've been to the other one several times. The parking is spacious and the restaurant itself seems larger but it doesnt have the same vibe with the high ceilings, sparse decoration. and lack of patio seating. But staff was still friendly and attentive when checking-in and as we were eating. We shared a mimosa flight. I could have sworn you were able to choose 4 flavors before but this time only 3 options offered. It wasnt featured on the menu like it was before. Regardless, got the pomegranate, pineapple, and strawberry. I recommend the pomegranate and strawberry. To eat, we ordered the waffle benedict, trio sopes, and the corned beef hash. The mixed of sweet and savory is always enjoyable with the benedict hash. Personally, I enjoy it when the hollandaise sauce is more lemony but I dont mind theirs. What a great family restaurant! We came in on a random weekday from a few storage runs nearby. We were welcomed, greeted and sat within 5 min. I got the best chilaquiles I've ever had and I'm not even exaggerating. I cleaned that plate. An older man, in a casa canela red shirt (I'm sorry I didn't get his name) came to talk to us in between our meals and he was just so pleasant to talk to. A plummer was fixing the women's bathroom and was so polite, he cleared the men's bathroom for me and stood outside to make sure no one else went in while I was in there. We ordered the chilaquiles plate which was very good and comes with Carne asada. Like sugary sweet, but didnt taste like mango. Then spicy. But not good spicy. Just spicy. The red was very mid. Not a lot of flavor. The green was the best out of the three. I'd give the green a 6. The chips were gross. Thick and had an unpleasant chew. The meat that came with it was the best part. Very good. But the eggs were flavorless and overcooked. The multi grain pancakes were missing a few gains and was very doughy. Definitely not an item I will order again. The $8 fresh orange juice was not bad but next time I will skip due to the price. The $6 latte didn't taste like it should have been $6. It definitely tasted like an instant gas station coffee/latte machines. The service was good! The jam for the toast was so good we ended up eating it with the pancakes. The poblano sauce was heavenly, I could pour that on anything and devour it. Ordered the doors and they were good. Potato, chorizo and shredded chicken topped with cabbage, cotija cheese and crema. Cafe de olla flavorful. Shared a short stack of pancakes with my daughter and this was the star of the show. Fluffy cooked to perfection comes with melted butter and of course maple syrup. Service is great. I'm a big fan of brunch restaurants (or even breakfast restaurants that I decide to refer to as "brunch restaurants" to psychologically elevate the experience for myself. Enter Casa Canela, a newer location of a restaurant located on the other side of the Santa Clarita Valley, near all the hotels on The Old Road and the entire Stevenson Ranch community. We arrived, a party of 5 without a reservation, and had a short wait for a Sunday morning before being seated. The staff was very friendly and our server did everything he could to make sure we got what we wanted how we wanted it. It's standard breakfast with some Mexican-influenced dishes and drinks. Somewhat on the pricy side...or possibly the cost of brunch overall has gone up everywhere you go. I had the Cafe de Ella as breakfast isn't breakfast without coffee and why not try this special cinnamon-infused version of this breakfast essential. It was okay. I like a really strong coffee and many breakfast places just don't brew it strong enough...coffee is kind of an afterthought...That's basically what I got, a weak coffee that was somewhat saved by the cinnamon infused in it. The food otherwise was good with large portions. I had a side of home fries and a side of French toast. The potatoes are nice big chunks with good flavoring and spices. The French toast was good. Since it's breakfast there are plenty of options for vegetarians and even the lunch menu has a lot to choose from, especially with the Mexican options. We tried this restaurant and by the end of the meal I knew I would never come back. The prices for Mexican food was sky high. My partner ordered the seafood enchiladas. He received two enchiladas and a cup of charro beans. Wow...and the price is $27.99. I was stunned. Then the waiter came back and told us it's three seafood enchiladas and spanish rice. Ok, better. They brought that out. I didn't like that the meals were not brought out together. I had to wait for mine and mine was a salad with a grilled salmon. I asked if they had non alcohol beer and they didn't know for certain. Waiter came back and said, Yes they had one. What I didn't like was how the beer was poured. It was poured incorrectly meaning there was more foam than beer. It was a terrible pour. The salmon salad was good and my partner was pleased with his food. The bill arrives and I am stunned. I ordered a 1/2 salad with grilled salmon. The grilled salmon on the menu stated $8.99. I was charged $14.99 for the grilled salmon. I asked the waiter what happened and he stated that the grilled salmon is now $14.99. Well, that's not what the menu states. He brings the menu over to me and I show him what it states on the menu. It's $8.99. He takes back the receipt and makes the appropriate adjustment. It seems as if they are in some sort of disarray and need training. Our bill with a tip was over $75. That's a great deal of money for two Mexican plates and two beers. I now know this will not be a go to place for me. read more

Their phone number is 661 5059199 The menu is extensive and we selected an item to share in order to sample both seafood cactus and steak. We ordered chips and three salsa the verde was to mild the red was a low heat but good flavor. The guacamole was a good citrus flavor. Moving on to our main course Parrallada with shrimp and beef. Flavor was excellent the shrimp were crisp. The steak was chewy. I enjoyed the cactus the chili and the Mexican onion. Rice was served cold and beans were lukewarm but they were heated to a proper flavor. The beans were almost like a soup very tasty The interior was basic clean and would be adjustable to large groups. Service by Nancy was excellent We had bread pudding for dessert, which was served hot with cream and blueberries. The caramel on top was not too heavy. I would comeback. The Resturant was almost empty but Monday on Labor Day could be the reason . Dinner for two was about $50 with no drinks.
