This small restaurant is a must for fish lovers. Don't let the fact that it is inside a pub put you off, the food is excellent, full restaurant quality. The special's board is what to look at rather than the Italian menu, in my opinion.
We had the Crab Diable and Smoked Salmon Cornettos (stuffed with prawns in Marie rose sauce) to start, both of which were wonderful and very satisfying. For mains we had Lemon Sole and Monkfish - you are then given a selection of ways to have it prepared, grilled, fried, on/off the bone etc and a choice of sauces with a recommendation on which suits the texture/flavour of the fish the best. We went with the recommendation and were very pleased.
It is not cheap and it is quite, shall we say, snug, but all in all I would heartily urge that you visit this fantastic eatery. read more
