    Pistachio cream. So good!
    Tim B.

This place is amazing! It's very clean and has a great vibe with the music and decor. The service was very welcoming and kind. The three gentlemen working the counter were very professional. But the coffee... wow! I got a Cafe de Olla and a Pistachio Cream Latte and they were perfect. Honestly, one of the best cafe de olla coffees I've had. I asked for the agave on the side and feathered it in to get my desired sweetness. Just perfect!

Cool cafe! One of the best Horchata Lattes I've tried!! The horchata flavor and the coffee flavor are well- balanced and they use agave wot sweeten it, not too sweet! I asked for less ice, glad it wasn't too much ice. The 16 oz. grande ($6.95 + tax) comes with two shots of espresso which was a decent amount of coffee for the size. I chose whole milk, but they also have other options (oatmilk, almond milk, and lactose-free). They also asked if I wanted to top it off with some cinnamon which was a great addition. It is a bit pricey here, but the drink was really good. The interior is very cool with black walls and plant decorations and gold details. There are a couple tables and seats and a high counter sections for seats. They also have an outside patio with umbrella shaded areas and a hammock! Looks very nice and inviting outside. They also have some pastries. There were only a couple left. Turns out they sold very quickly as soon as they were stocked. I'm glad they have a nice compact menu. Big menus tend to be overwhelming The parking lot is very small and compact, but the parking lot next to it has a few more parking spaces. Really want to come back to try other drinks if I'm in the area!!

The drinks were very well made. Not overly sweet. We've already gone back and everything we had was delicious especially the Español Latte and the Matcha. The staff was very nice each time. Definitely recommend.

I'm happy I was finally able to try the famous Casa De Agave. My bff and I were thinking of what coffee shop to visit. I remembered this place specifically because it has "agave" in the name and I remembered the IG reels showing it has a backyard feel to it. I was not disappointed at all, as soon as we walked in the barista said good morning to us even though he and two others were busy making drinks, and he greeted us so nicely. The first thing aside from the customer service that I noticed was the great freshness of the Ac that was on. Second, that they do in fact have pastries and the conchas are wrapped up. My friend wanted a concha so I got her one. The third thing was, most of the seats were already taken. We had two options: sit on the two seats inside with no table in between, or, go outside and sit on the couch with no shade. We went outside because it was packed inside already. There is a bar stool area next to the baristas which is where people ended up sitting after us since every seat was taken. I suggest adding shade above the couches, and also making the outside tables smaller so that parties of two-4 can sit comfortably. There were two 6 seater tables with only 2 girls in each table; making it uncomfortable for others to sit there even though there's space. Anyway, I REALLY LOVED MY ice horchata latte. It did not disappoint. My friend's iced Spanish latte was also good, but it was way less sweet than mine. I would order the iced horchata latte again and definitely sit inside next time.

Five Stars -- A new community gem in Downey I wasn't looking for a coffee shop nearby--I was looking to explore. While scrolling through Yelp, all the way at the bottom of the list, I came across Casa de Agave Coffee Shop, newly opened about 25 + days ago. I decided to check them out, and I'm really glad I did. As soon as you walk in, on the right-hand side, you'll see a clean, enclosed glass display of pastries, all individually wrapped, which I really appreciated. The café itself feels like a cozy little house--warm, calm, and thoughtfully designed. I stayed for several hours getting work done because it was that comfortable. Inside, every table has outlets, which makes it very work-friendly. Just a note: there are no outlets on the patio. I met Mario, the owner--kind, welcoming, and easy to talk to. This is a Latino- and veteran-owned establishment, and you can feel the care and pride behind the space. The baristas are a great father-and-son duo from Ecuador, Luis and Michael, and their hospitality truly stands out. The small details really mattered to me. My pastry was served on a small wooden board with napkins, and since I was staying, I was given the option of a plastic cup or a clay drinking pot for my drink. I chose the clay pot, and it was such a nice, authentic touch--it stayed cold and made the experience feel extra special. One thing I always do when visiting food and beverage spots is check the restroom first. It was very clean, which tells me a lot about their food safety habits and overall cleanliness. They use agave instead of sugar, offer organic matcha, and have a refrigerated unit with alternative beverages, including Pressed, along with other canned and bottled drinks. Everything felt intentional and well thought out. The backyard patio is calm and serene, with comfortable seating and a fountain--perfect for slowing down for a bit. Mario also shared that they host small events, so it's worth checking their website or asking in person if you're interested in hosting something community-focused. They may not be cheaper than Starbucks, but the quality, care, and genuine human connection you get here are worth it. Parking is easy, and I drove 15 miles to come check this place out--it was absolutely worth the trip. My only advice, as I'd give any food and beverage spot: stay consistent. Thank you for welcoming me with open arms, great conversation, and genuine hospitality. I can already see this becoming a true pillar of the Downey community. Highly recommended

This place is amazing!! Love the ambiance (they have salsa playing in the back ground, which I love) and their coffee is on point!! I went this past Sunday, late afternoon as a recommendation from my cousin who was there earlier that morning. I had the CAFE AGAVE and it was super tasty!! Mayra the manger is super friendly and very attentive!! She checked on me to make sure my coffee was what I wanted and yes I give two thumbs up. The service was so great I actually returned today Monday afternoon!! The place isn't super big but they have tables where you can work from and a patio in the back where you can relax and enjoy the day with a great tasting coffee of your choice!! This time I had their Cafe de Olla which was just as Tasty!! I will definitely be coming back!!

This place is promising. Nice decor, traditional Mexican coffee with great quality. I did not try the food but overall the coffee was worth to try it. Service could be better. This was probably the first time it has happened to me we asked "what do you recommend" and the lady replied " well I cannot recommend you anything because it depends on what YOU like" "end" lol that is unhelpful, dismissive and no experience with customer service, need to work on that.

Super cute and cozy. I came across this place randomly when searching up local spots. The barista was super sweet and knowledgeable about the beans! I really enjoyed my drink and the vibes

I wanted to try a different coffee shop while in town for work. I stumbled upon this place and boy, it did not disappoint. This was by far the best coffee spot I had while I was visiting if it was closer to my work I would have gone every single day. I came right at opening so there wasn't a line. The worker was so kind and helpful. I'm not sure what magic he did but it was the best vanilla latte I've probably ever had. The space itself was clean and had alot spots to study or work. They even have an outside patio area which was cool to see but was chilly the day I came. I would highly recommend coming here

Super friendly staff and cute atmosphere! The backyard is so cute for a little sit down and unwinding Got the horchata iced latte and it's super delicious! Will be coming back so soon!

Fantastic Cold Brew! Little hint of cinnamon, smooth, chocolate notes.

This review is long overdue! Been here like 6 times since it opened because the coffee is that good! Using agave as a sweetener is genius and delicious. Espresso flight was an awesome way to see just how different all the different beans taste. The Caramel Malcriado is my go to but the cafe de olla is also on point! The bread is baked fresh daily and super good! My kids loved the Christmas conchas. They don't last though so go early! Take your drink to the back patio for a chill vibe. The whole decor and ambiance is so relaxing and inviting. Very cool spot to have an event at! The staff is amazing and super friendly! They are all very knowledgeable in what they are serving and are always willing to help you find out what you might like. My new go to local coffee spot for sure!! Keep up the great work Mario!!

I was in the area and I've never had a cute coffee with the latte art (so many of my friends are going to roast me for this) When I pulled up -nice private parking -a staff member was outside painting on the windows with the cutest window art. The girl had talent! This place has also given back. They helped with the LA fires last year. So bonus points for places who give back. (They gave back to the Pasadena humane society) There was a pretty big line and it was pretty loud in here, but it went by very fast. My friend grabbed a table while I placed the order. -they do have a good amount of seating. The place is pretty small though. So we sat for a minute after our drinks came out and then decided to take it to go -they have latte art that changes every month. So I like they have some rotating options. It was my turn and I ordered two sugar free mocha iced coffees. One with regular foam, And mine had strawberry foam. When I told Matthew at the counter it was really important the one drink be as sugar free as possible due to my friend being diabetic, he warned us there was sugar in the foam, but he would go as light as possible. So I appreciate him warning us and taking it serious. I picked the new hello kitty art of the month (hello kitty in a bathing suit with waves and dolphins) And my friend picked from the new monthly latte art as well, and got the Kirby character Even though it was busy, it took probably 2 minutes for our drinks to be made Matthew was absolutely great. His energy, he had a smile on his face, was knowledgeable about the menu, Matthew was everything you'd want in a staff member. Just like any coffee place, you pay and give them a name for your order, and then they call your name and you pick up your coffee at the counter. These drinks hit the spot!!! It was very trendy. They had Sabrina carpenter and Olivia Rodrigo specials and they even had a Lana Del Rey latte (cinnamon girl, named after her song) only thing that bummed me out They had a case with delicious pastries. But since I came here later in the day, they only had a couple stragglers left behind -they open at 7 am, for everyone needing their morning coffee -vegan options -free WiFi -woman owned -LGBTQ owned -they give back to the community

The staff was friendly, and our drinks came out pretty quickly, which I appreciated. The only downside was the atmosphere. It's a very small shop with seating for maybe 20 people inside, plus 4 small two-person tables outside (without any shade). When we visited, almost everyone else was working on laptops, so it didn't feel like the best place to sit and chat. The music was also fairly loud and mostly K-pop, which didn't really match the coffee shops aesthetic and made conversation a little more difficult. Parking was probably my biggest complaint. There are only four dedicated parking spots, and the surrounding residential street parking was completely packed. I ended up parking in the chicken restaurant's lot across the street. Overall, I'd definitely come back for the coffee, it was genuinely one of the better iced caramel lattes I've had. If you're looking to grab a quality drink to go, I'd highly recommend it. Just be prepared for limited seating and a challenging parking situation.

I was waiting for my drink (small iced latte, exxtra ice in a large cup) when I heard my name called and a barista was waiting for me to tell me that I had to pay for the extra milk to fill the large cup. I explained that I wanted no extra milk and that I expected a cup full of ice, to which she argued with me in every possible direction, even insinuating that she was going to have to "re-train" the barista who rang me up. I asked her if she would feel satisfied with me paying for the "extra" milk as long as the cup isn't filled to the top and she just goes "Oh if you don't want extra milk then you don't have to pay for it." and from there I just agreed with everything she said. I was too dizzy to stand my own ground at that point. Completely unnecessary. Prime example of someone riding a power trip.
