My table was booked for 7.30pm, but there were already quite a few diners seated and eating. Staff were pleasant and helpful, and I was welcomed by the owner, who then proceeded to seat me, offer me a menu and take a drinks order. Antico is Italian food at its best, but without the exorbitant price tag often associated with it. Portion size is very good and unlike in London, where I am from, you don't need a telescope to find it. There are a wide range of choices on offer, enough to suit most people's requirements. For my meal, I ordered: Starter Spending Di Pesce Pieces of tuna and king prawn, freshly cooked, and served with lemon and on a bed of green leaves. Main Course Pollo agli Asparagi Chicken in a cream sauce and asparagus. A portion of vegetables/potatoes comes with the main course. One thing I like about Antico is that you are not hurried in any way. The meal is there to enjoy and savour and that's what I did. I was there about 90 minutes, and really enjoyed my meal. Reservations are highly recommended as tables fill up very quickly. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone and if I was back in the area, I'd happily return.
